    T2 FM - Deceptive Perception 2: Phantasmagoria (15 Nov 08)

Between Will and myself, it's taken 6 years to get this one out the door, but here it is finally. Sorry to have missed my desired release date of Halloween, but shit happens. It's a better mission for having taken the extra two weeks. I'd also like to say it's an honor to release on the same day as Dracula Reloaded and Rust Belt Prison! What a weekend! I'm off to play all the recent missions I've missed now.

    Story
You've met your old friend Willick at the Rotting Carcass for a pint and some light discussion, when talk turns to your recent adventure trying to recover an artifact from the upper floor of an abandoned Mechanist warehouse that's supposedly haunted. You don't really want to relive that terrible night just for his entertainment, but he insists on hearing the story, so you throw back some beer and begin.

    Known Bugs:
    • Occasionally, stange noises, usually haunt or zombie voices, start playing unexpectedly. True, this happens intentionally at times in this mission, but if the voices are “in your head” and keep following you around, it's a bug and you should reload unless you want to hear them for the rest of the mission.
    • Less frequently, an AI will have a long pause in a conversation. Usually they'll start again within 10 seconds or so, but if they seem to have stopped permanently, you may need to reload from your last save. There are many conversations in the mission and every once in a while something will just not work properly.
    • This mission is infested with gremlins, I swear! On my final playthrough last night, I had something very odd (and creepy) happen which was not scripted in any fashion, and I had never seen before. So play at your own risk! (and reload when necessary!)

    Thanks for all the mirrors!

Sorry for the size (91MB), there's tons of custom audio in the mission.

I know, but the others I prefer to use kept dropping the connection and aborting the upload. SQ's mirror should be ready shortly.

Downloading. Once it's down (which at current speed is another 20 minutes off...), I'll look into setting up a torrent for it, unless someone else gets there first.

Don't apologize for your generosity! RL should always be more important than Thief.

Thanks to all the mirrors and torrents out there!

I'd also like to thank all the people who helped me finish this project.
    • All the voice actors who did an amazing job, especially SlyFoxx who, as usual, went above and beyond, voicing three of the main characters! (You even get to hear him having a conversation with himself.)
    • All the testers who had literally dozens and dozens of great suggestions, that improved both gameplay and cohesiveness of the story, which is admittedly sparse.
    • Finally William the Taffer, of course, since this is really his brainchild - I only finished it and tried to preserve his vision.
