Ah, 2K is going all "viral".
Someone's spotted a new website related to BioShock 2, There's Something in the Sea. Looks like there'll be information appearing on that over the coming months. For now we have a sketch, a letter excerpt and a newspaper clipping.
Ah, 2K is going all "viral".
If nothing else, the Big Daddy corkscrew looks appealing.
[Malygris] http://www.somethinginthesea.com/
[Malygris] In case word hasn't spread
[Alchemist] what does the site do, other than zoom in on the photo
[dj_ivocha] what alch said
[Alchemist] oh you can zoom in on the other two articles by clicking on their edges
[Alchemist] that seems to be it
[dj_ivocha] yes
[Malygris] Yeah, that looks to be it.
[[dj_ivocha] well in this case, no wonder the word hasn't spread ;D
[Ulukai] I've been staring at it for half an hour and nothing has happened
[Ulukai] Is a zombie face going to pop up and play scream.wav
I can confirm a zombie face does not popup accompanied by scream.wav
The big daddy dolls looks much more marketable than the broken-tipped figurines with a bad paint job!
My Big Daddy isn't chipped and looks fine. Especially with an Octopus Hat.
Actually it seems the word had spread enough for someone to hack open the map on the site saving us about a month of suspense(link from RPS).

Might want to check out what vBulletin has done to your link, squire.
Wow! It blocks *****. I feel so safe here.
[Edit]This is getting bizzare.
Heh, nothing ever happens on the west coast of africa.
3 new items showed up today. 1 photo, a newspaper clipping and a letter.
Oh what the, i dunno how I missed this thread
I looked thru the whole site...all ive learned so far is that...someone bought a red flash light and is scubadiving with it. Someone also bought some really ugly boots and likes to walk on the beach. Girls at the ages 5-7 really love to get kidnapped...and that some dude is now concidered insane by the government.
The site has been updated.
What the hell for? We know everything already from the gameplay vid.
Who pays any attention to obtuse viral marketing like this anyway?
bump and I do
I think this is one of the few "viral", if it can so be called, sites that is done very well. They update it every day and obviously a lot of effort goes into it. I like to just let the site sit in the background and play the radio static; it's oddly calming. If anyone can rip it into a sound file for me I will be forever grateful
It's neat to see the real-world ("") articles on Rapture like the disappearances, the Quaid author, Meltzer's descent into despair over his daughter, etc. I think it's very well done and there's always something new to find
yeah, a nice site indeed

Creepy, thanks to the Uncanny Valley.
I heard the water will look similiar as well.
Butterfly pics...yikes. Sends shivers down my spine.
The light ARGness of the site is nice, they've been sending out items to people like this record.
Have you ever used the brainwave generator?
This one linked in Comm Chat a while back is nice.
there's usually fish in a sea.
There's now a puzzle box with buttons and sliders on it near the door, not the case with the 3 dials, which has an iconed R in the center, also on the far right next to the tape machine there's a tape you can listen too.
puzzlebox 4 lines, orange II, penticle, T, 4 circles, yellow II, green II, 3 red semi-circles. to 2nd line below R
Apparent this string of symbols says 'redqueen'
