Henri The Hammer, at the time Thief 1 was out there weren't any game retailers here in Romania, now its a little better. All those games are bought in the last two years from ebay because I love them so I must have them in their original boxes.![]()
Nice collection dominus
yeah ebay is your friend, these games are real treasures for us but most people give them low prices because they are "old", talk about a great deal.
Wish I had a DeusEx box like yours, but hey it's not a LGS game so it doesn't count...
Do you run the LGS tribute website ? Was it LGS legacy before ?
I used this website to list all the games I had to find back thenthat's where I discovered car and driver.
I never found a boxed copy of British Open Championship Golf.

I want the one with the gadget!! :-)
DrK, yeap ebay is the only friend when it comes to collecting old games, I had to hunt for those a looong time, many won't ship them to Europe.. even now when I see a Thief boxed game on ebay my hand itches to buy it, hard to resist
about the LGS tribute website yep I created it, nothing to do with LGS legacy, I felt the internet needed a place where the LGS games should be properly presented. Any ideas in expanding it?
(sorry for my poor English)
Actually, Amazon works quite well, too. Original release big box versions, I got a second hand DX in perfect condition, and Drakan and Thief II still sealed in cellophane. Out of curiosity, I jumped on Amazon UK just now, and found two original box TMA copies listed under "Like New" around the 30 quid mark, and an original TDP under "Very Good" for 22.
really? *goes to check*
ah, found it.... but it can't be shipped here.
Nice !
And still with cellophane, even better.
Just bought TMA for £0.80p from Cex in Edinburgh.
VERY HAPPY DAYS
I was away from computers for 4 years and when I came back all my games were gone.
(Whole thing's a long story)
Thief is my favourite ever (and I've been playing games solidly since my ZX81 days in '81.)
So I went hunting for thief, found TDS for £1.
Got very sad, found TTLG (never lived with broadband before).
Then found Thief Gold on ebay for £6.99
Now my favourite of all THE METAL AGE.
(Making pictures with words btw)
Well, if you've got two (or more) of a kind, you could just unwrap one. Otherwise, at least for me, it doesn't matter if I've already got a DVD or jewel case, I wanna see what's in the box.
heh, the other day I bought thief gold in the original trapezoid box, more for collector's sake sense I've already got thief gold.(My other version is just from a jewel case.) It's got a cool eidos demo disc and some keyboard layout card, as well as that awesome cd case. I'm torn between actually taking everything out and raping the old box in cellophane to keep as a collector's item... But, I realize taking out the contents makes it less of a collector's item. It's just, I'm not sure I want to seal away forever the discs in a cardboard box...
I know, I have yet to take a picture of my thief collection, but I'll get a shot up here sometime.
Proof:
Yeah I'm watching Sudden attack right now![]()
Oh wow!Great!
Nice collection.
Robocop!!! WOW I've had it for the C=64, and I played the console version too. Awesome.
Diablo II... hmmmm... never heard about...

System Shock was one of my earliest PC games (part of a double-pack with Space Hulk). I bought it shortly after getting into PC gaming and having read about it in a greatest-of-all-time list in PC Gamer UK. Coincidentally, a friend at work lent me Ultima Underworld 1 & 2, I didn't know the link at that time. I tracked down my own Underworlds later; shame my UUW1 box is a bit battered, but just having it is the main thing for me.

Those were the days when every PC game came in a big box... one day I decided I had too many and threw a load away. I kept the few that meant something to me for whatever reason - games I loved, great artwork (honourable mention: [H]ardwar) - so I should still have my Thief 1&2 and Shock 2 big-boxes, but I don't know where they are now.
For those who aren't familiar with it, stacked in front of the big boxes is the Japan-only Playstation version of Ultima Underworld plus guide book. A look inside:
