Just when I needed a new mission! Thanks bassmanret, I had a good time playing part 1 and judging by your post this is going to be a great one!
Fellow Tafferites & Tafferettes,
Over 5 years since Part 1 was released, at long last, I've finally finished the nearly-anticipated, partially-longed-for sequel!
Filefront has worked for me before, so I hope no one has problems getting it. Of course, I would very much appreciate anyone willing to host it, as it appears the thiefmissions site is not up to date.
Here is the link (approximately 85MB):

While I prefer that players have already played Part 1 prior to playing Part 2, the plot of Part 1 can be summed up fairly quickly. So, if you haven't played Part 1, or if you'd like a quick refresher of Part 1):
You are a burglar named Burt, who has been forced into hiding because of a very high price on your head which even your former "colleagues" wish to claim. Somehow, a Lord Chauncy has discovered that you recently "acquired" a few valuable items from his family tomb, and is less than pleased by this. So, he has asked the local Lord, Lord Bile, to aid him in his search of you. Rumor has it that Lord Bile is ruthless, extremely wealthy (although no one seems to know how he has acquired all of his wealth), and has spared no expense to find you. As revealed in Part 1, Lord Bile has abducted a female prostitute named Janine because he was informed that you and she once had a "relationship" of sorts. Townspeople seem to know that your "relationship" with Janine was serious, but they also know that whenever asked about this relationship, you always insist (with a smirk) that you are "Just Friends". Part 1 ended with you gaining entrance to the sewers which you should be able to navigate to Lord Bile's estate where you intend to find and free Janine from the dungeons where she is almost certainly being ill-treated. So begins Part 2.
NOTES TO PLAYERS:
1. Please read the readables. They are important in your determination of which objectives you will want to complete or not (yes, I realize many will still not read them). There are 6-7 with more than a few pages. I did try to shorten them...really.
2. On Expert difficulty, there are 23 possible objectives. Darthslair was kind enough to design a custom objectives screen to accommodate all 23 (Thanks again, darthsLair!!) which I am using, BUT Theif 2 automatically reverts back to its original 18-line-max objective screen when the player completes the mission (immediately after the "Mission Complete" message) so that the "Menu/Continue/Stats" screen will appear. THEREFORE, just before the end of the missin, Burt will say, "I should check what I've done before I go". When you hear Burt say this, please check your objectives screen to see all of the objectives for the mission. This is important because if you played a certain style, a bonus objective will appear (completed) near the end, and if you don't check, you will never know about it.
I sincerely hope everyone has fun playing it!

Nice! And a T2 one! Just in time a reply from the good'old Dromed to the recent waves of TDM releases.
Downloading now.
Thanks man.
Edit: hmm trying to download but goes to a blank page.
Maybe it's Kaspersky, it sometimes messes with filefront.
yes!!! I was waiting for this mission to come out..
dl. now!!!
Just started it and so far, it's fun! I really love the burrick hunter song.

Me too, great song. I also thought the Butler's diary was hilarious...
Thanks everyone!
I just finished the songs today. They were the only things holding up release for over a month. But, today a snowstorm kept me from going to work, so I had some ever-elusive free time.
I hope you like the 2nd song, and the rest of the mission, too!
Great news, thank you! Also, "Nearly anticipated, partially longed for" cracked me up.
Cool, got it from the mirror.
Thanks jaxa.
I really hope those cucumbers from the first part made it to the sequel!
Congrats on the release, I'll get a mirror up at southquarter tonite.
Nice idea to have Burt as Garrett's father Too bad that there are no more custom stuff (objects). Some FM authors spoil the audience with some superb and eye-candy ones. Yet it's an interesting FM with an intriguing story. Pre-Garrett setting makes you feel like in Thief1.

haha, love the burrick song
( good ol' johnny's boy named sue was allways one of my favourites )
having a ball up untill now,
What a great mission this was! I liked how you could decide your own revenge by making all those objectives optional.
When getting the objective to end the burrick relationship, I was afraid I had to kill Daisy. Good think that didn't happen. (Though I feel a bit sorry for poor Bo.
My revenge:
Obviously I stole as much as possible. I tried to steal Buford's safe contents, but couldn't figure out the code. (Think I thought about the wrong number of the halls and toilets, maybe.) And I stole the Star Stone and Horn Of Quartus.
I didn't kill Lord Bile. I wanted him to suffer, so completed other objectives, and knocked him out and put him in the toilet full of poo.
In fact, the only one I killed was the Inquisitor, I really hated that guy. Of course I chose the more original ending for him, I really liked that you included that!
I didn't kill the mistress, because I already placed her letter on Bile's table. I thought killing her would be pointless, knowing Bile a little he wouldn't really care after reading the letter.
I didn't kill the butler, because his diary already gave enough pain to Bile. After reading that I doubt he would really care about his brother's death.
I didn't find out which one of the guards Buford was, but I knocked them all out. In my opinion that's punishment enough.
And finally, I didn't kill his wife. He didn't really care for her anyway, so instead I just left the note. I took the wife, butler, and mistress to the well, so that they could escape themselves. I locked the door behind them.
Next time I'll try some different revenge.
One more question: the Pagan Ritual book that is mentioned in the office, I couldn't find it in the library. Are you able to steal it too?
Thanks for this GREAT MISSION
It was very exiting to play. I ended at the spiderpit.
I was just a bit disappointend on the end ..... I didn't get all the "optical" parts, but couldn't return to finish them also ....
But: Thank you so much for the Dewdrop in the bed
I LOVE to find a Dewdrop in a FM!!!

Congrats on the release and thank you
I made it to the office/bedroom at the top to the stairs from the dungeon. I went into the "closet" turned the wheel and opened the doors to the little hideaway desk. Cannot pass though, invisible barrier prevents me from going to the little table and safe I can see on it. any ideas?

Ok, as promised, mirrored at Southquarter:

bloody hellfire, we have been snowed under (if you forgive the pun) with fFms the last 2 months...
Awesome
Thanks for this mission. I will play it today in the evening.
I'm not completely surprised by this, as this was a problem initially, but I made quite a few adjustments to (I thought) fix it. I suggest you back up and move forward through the opening as straight as possible. If the chest lids/doors are open, you should be able to get through. If that still doesn't work, I think reloading a save should fix it. No testers had this problem, and I've self-tested that very spot dozens of times. I am very sorry you're the lucky one to be having this problem.
Also, a HUGE thanks to jaxa and Brethren for the mirrors!
