The ftp link seems to not be responding, but the southquarter mirror worked fine for me.
Can anyone confirm if both southquarter and ftp links for tafferpatch are down?
If yes, any links for filehosts?
The ftp link seems to not be responding, but the southquarter mirror worked fine for me.
Restarted the server, should work now.
Added a mirror on Taffer's Paradise:

Thanks, just checked the ftp server and it works fine![]()
Thank you, mate!!! I just got my new system with a ATI 6950 and Win7 and had honest doubt to bring Thief 2 to life without many complications.
But I just installed it with the TafferPatcher and WOW!!! Widescreen in 1920x1080 with all visual enhancements... THAT is the way Thief can look like??? JUST WOW! And all done in just a minute or two...
And I never thought that the bloom effect actually can look good...
Thanks again!![]()
Just a heads up, I noticed a new version of DDfix up on Jeremi's ftp page
1.5.12
Thanks for the heads-up!
I'll compile the new version of TP with this one ASAP.
1.0.1 beta with DDfix 1.5.12:
When applied to the setup made by TP 1.0.0, It will detect the older version of DDFix as 1.5.5. Switch it to 1.5.12 to update DDFix to the newest version. DDfix.ini settings will not be saved. Make a copy of your ddfix.ini file and modify the new one (via ddfix editor or manually) according to your old settings.
An update.
1.0.2 beta with DDfix 1.5.12:
ftp://djriff.homeftp.net/patches/thi...A_102_beta.exe
When applied to the setup made by TP 1.0.0, It will detect the older version of DDFix as 1.5.12 and update it on first run. Old ddfix.ini will be copied as ddfix_1511.ini.bak. DDfix.ini Editor now has the Import function which can be used on ddfix_1511.ini.bak to restore your ddfix.ini settings.
If you decide to return back to TP 1.0.0, it's better to downgrade DDfix to 1.5.5 using TP 1.0.2 first.

Hey, this works delightfully! Thank you. If I have any problems I'll let you know.
Well actually pretty well, I get stars like I'm looking at the sky when I pull a weapon.

LimbZBufferFix=0 should fix that. It only happens with old style stars.
So what do I select if I have multiple copies of Thief 2 on my drive? (I don't like to DromEd inside the Thief2 folder, so I have cloned directories that all point to the RES folder to save space.)2. Start darkinst.cfg editor. Set all sections to "Relative paths inside Thief folder". Check the modified darkinst.cfg content in the right window. If any absolute paths left which are outside Thief folder, copy all files from them to the appropriate Thief resource folders and remove them from the list. Click OK.
BTW, TP forces DromEd to use .DDS textures, which is fine, but it sure makes things choppy when you hit Alt-G.
"Absolute paths always" on the source installation before cloning, then "Relative paths always" on the source and each copies if you want all setup to be portable including the common RES folder.
DDS textures can be disabled by disabling TextureReplacement in ddfix.ini or by setting the wrong path in TexturePath. The slowdown can be remedied sometimes by disabling LayeredOverlay too.
Did a fresh install of T2 using TP. Now the game won't run at all. After running the Eidos intro.avi, it crashes. Guess I'll manually install it and add each enhancement module one-by-one.
EDIT: Looks like darkinst.cfg was corrupted. Replacing it fixed the crash.

Seems exactly the bug I've fixed in this new version.
An Update.
Tafferpatcher 1.0.3:
ftp://djriff.homeftp.net/patches/thi...A_103_beta.exe
Changes:
— fixed a bug which writes wrong path in darkinst.cfg when the folder is outside Thief installation directory and "Relative Path Always" is selected (e.g .\..\..\Thief2_CommonResource instead of ..\..\Thief2_CommonResource). Thief fails to recognize the former and crashes. Now it should work properly.
The version is fully compatible with TP 1.0.2.

I know, it's ISP problems again, sorry.
Send me a PM when the FTP is back up and I'll provide a mirror for it at Amazon.
They promised to fix it tomorrow if it's not connected with major hardware replacement.
Never heard about this before. Could you explain please? Did your LGVID.AX file lost its extension while using TP? Did you install T2 via TP or did you apply it to the existing installation?
OK, I will. Will you be able to update the file after the next update? I don't want obsolete beta versions of TP flying uncontrollably on the Net.
That's not a problem.
I'm not sure they have finished working on it, but seems like we're back on-line.
