Complete will only make sense for CoP, since it's the only game which doesn't need drastic gameplay changes.

Hope it won't take them so long this time around, since after SoC/CS they should have most textures, sounds and animations already done.

Complete was pretty good for SoC, I thought. I prefer AMK's messing with certain aspects. But Complete made for a really solid, well balanced vanilla playthough. I'd recommend it to first timers.

Anyway, that reminds me: Is there a list of included mods and changes somewhere? I couldn't see one on pavel's site.

Do all the updates work equally under DX9 and DX10? I haven't been able to find any info on this...

If you just want bugfixes whilst preserving the other stuff then this looks pretty good: http://stalker.filefront.com/file/Sk...04153#Download

Playing this now. Just started, still in the swamps. Twice now it happened that my life-bar just drops slowly till dead. No fighting, no radiation (I guess!), no nothing. Just dropping. Wtf???? It's patched to 1.5.10 and this complete mod should be on the other side of bugginess, no?

From memory it probably is radiation. I think Complete made things a little more sane (you don't die slowly from stepping ankle deep the the water anymore) but you can still get a dose.
At the start I think your geiger counter is rubbish or needs to be equipped or something. Maybe the dosimeter doesn't show up till then either, so you don't know you've got a dose at all.
I'd have to load it up again and check though.

Also, you haven't equipped a radioactive artifact have you? Again from memory, nearly all of them give you a dose, including ones safe in SoC. You can't wear them for any length of time until you find one of the radiation absorbing ones (and then you need to get a suit with more than one pocket).

I'm at the very beginning and haven't got any artifacts equipped. And so far I've been in only a handful of shootouts in the swamps. Weird... I remember something like this happened on my first playthrough some time ago (unsure if with complete mod or not) but neither a reason nor a solution, though there was one obviously.

Must check for that dosimeter thing, thanks.

Yeau. Just about to install Clear Sky, since I never played it properly.
Any suggestions for mods? I like graphical improvements or bug fixes, but no idea what CS needs as it stands today.

Any suggestions welcome, I'm just keen to get back into the zone.

Yeah, I haven't looked in ages.
I think Complete ought to do the trick really. From memory it tidied up a few things. You can't really fix what's wrong with CS with cosmetic and bug fixes though. The problems are deeper in the design.
But from memory it rebalanced a bit, gave the AI a tweak and made the faction wars system less buggy.
It's probably the way to go.

I went with Complete in the end.
Now I just need to get past the god damned military area in Cordon.
    Fuuu-uck.

Yeah. Just don't be confused into thinking you're supposed to go under the log/tree. That'll just get you shot up.
