TDM: No Honor Among Thieves by Goldchocobo RELEASED! (2010/04/29)

    No Honor Among Thieves
    1.0

I am proud to announce the release of the first TDM campaign, No Honor Among Thieves.

Download it HERE and read the brief below!

    From thiefmissions.com (thanks!)

    http://www.filefront.com/16316633/NHAT.zip/

Or, separate PK4's for those having problems with the large file:

Mission 1/3: Politics (right click, save as)
Mission 2/3: A Night Out On The Town
Mission 3/3: No Honor Among Anyone

"Turns out those Builders aren't as righteous as we think... no surprises here. An old fence of mine sold me a bit of information concerning the local Archbishop, Lavonte Duchane , and our beloved governor, Archibald Cloist. Governor Archibald has, as of late, been spotted and caught in the local brothels by our very own Builder watch. But, instead of being made public by our lovely Builder brethren, the entire situation sort of vanished. Sounds like blackmail and bribery to me. In the peak of his career an exposure like this would mean sudden death for Archibald - no more noble's support, no more Builder's support, and no more public respect. Bad for his career, but certainly good for mine. What makes the cake even sweeter is that an exposure like would be disastrous for the Archbishop himself. I'm sure the both of them will be very motivated to keep this hush hush.
These two really seem like my type - blackmailing and bribing away - so I don't think they'll object when I blackmail them myself... It's time to begin..."

    Notes:

To install, simply unzip the contents into the "fms" directory of your Darkmod installation.

This campaign uses a very large amount of custom materials... models, videos, music/sounds... so it's bigger then the average bear (FM).

Also, some of the ambients don't respond well to the sliders... this is a mod issue, and I'm hoping it will be fixed soon!

    Enjoy!

    Thanks for the early warning.

I will stock up with food and drink for that weekend. And wife and kids will have a sponsered vacation.

Life is good with something to look forward in the near future.

Is that October video of yours a walkaround of the city in No Honor?

You already had a recent thread that you could have used to reveal the campaign name

Then again, I can see you're excited about the campaign and I know alot of us are as well - so more promotion can't hurt!

If a mod wants to merge/rename the old thread, I won't object

I had an issue tonight where I couldn't load up any saved games in TDM missions. It would just say that it failed to load the save file. I tried deleting all of the FM sub-directories from the .doom3 folder, but that didn't fix the problem. So, I deleted the whole TDM installation, and then found out that I was an idiot and forgot to back up the 1.01 changes to one of the several 1TB drives sitting here. I restored a backup of 1.0 and am now upgrading again to 1.01.

Hopefully this fixes the problem, because I want to start enjoying the campaign tomorrow.

I feel kinda dumb for asking this but, what would be the correct way to install it? Just drag and drop each individual pak file into the FMs directory? Will it still load as a campaign or do you have to launch each individual mission on its own? Also- I can't frigging wait to play this one!

    This is rather emberassing...
The filefront is confirmed to be bad. I PM'd the guy responsible for uploading it.
I have confirmed my own hosting is GOOD - that is the first download link mentioned in my release message.

I will try yours again but that was where i first downloaded from and when I went to extract it the message i got was that the file was empty.

I am trying the third option at the moment and will let you know how I go.

Edit: Seems to download ok but when you try to extract the information for some reason it isnt valid, pretty much got the same error message as reported in my previous reply.

Looking forward to playing this once it finishes downloading, thank you! May want to add a release date to your thread title and the information you put a few posts above in the original post so that you get maximum exposure and so folks know that it's been released!

I'm afraid your hosting is corrupted too - it just died at 119 megs...!

OK, I just re-uploaded it and updated the link in my release message.
If your having trouble still, let me know... this one has to work.

edit: I just dl'd it on two computers. One ancient one using a completely different zip program. Both work perfectly fine.
