    TG FM: Lighthouse Shed (8.05.10)

Here it is. I began to make it for Thief Anniversary Contest (it was quite long ago, eh?..), but it sees the light of day only now.
But better late than never, I guess?

    Grab it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?2mmmudy2zzm

Important: Before you start the game, check the readme - you have to edit your Dark.cfg file for comfortable playing.

    Excellent - thanks Dront !

I got TG up and running on my machine, after a long break, just a month or so ago - great timing!

Looking forward to playing this a bit later when I've got some time and the sun isn't streaming through the window - it starts off nice and dark!

Can I put cut/paste the recommended extra line, given in the briefing, into my Dark.cfg file almost anywhere or does it need to go anywhere in particular? Thanks.

I think it (theoretically ) can be placed anywhere, but in my Dark.cfg it's on the last but one line (as the last line may be ignored). The last line in my Dark.cfg is empty.

Just out of curiosity, what does the "ObjTextures16" line do when you add it to Dark.cfg?

It allows objects that use 16-bit textures to be displayed with that textures. Otherwise, they all will appear white.

16-bit colour version instead of the 8-bit palette.

Dove into this one right away, but stuck now. Lots crammed into this smaller mission, quite fun so far. But...

Can't open the door by the note from the Director about being absent for two weeks. Doesn't frob so there must be a switch somewhere.

Can't open the door past the elevator by the note from R. Barker about the Personnel key. Again, no frob, so looking for a switch.

There's a bed that highlights, but not sure what to do with it. Something about a potato?

I can see Hunter, but can't figure out how to get to him.

I have two puzzles so far (hidden glasses and Jerome's room), plus 2183 in loot.

What now? A nudge would help. Playing on Impossible.

You've been by both sides of the same door. So, why it should open?
    There's no switch.

    Yes.

I can see Hunter, but can't figure out how to get to him.
If you've seen him, you've may seen the passage leading from somewhere located upwards. Try to think what can lead there.
    Tip: search the ground floor.

I have two puzzles so far (hidden glasses and Jerome's room), plus 2183 in loot.
The 3rd puzzle is Hunter's trophy.
The 4th one is the hardest. Have you picked up the strange scroll in the sewers?

    Playing on Impossible.
Oh... That means you'll have to search quite thoroughly.

Funny, never thought of that. Guess I got disoriented.

Yes. This is all that's left now as I got to Hunter's trophy. I found a red button in the room with the sinks. Am I on the right track? I didn't hear any sound to indicate what it did when I frobbed it.

Also, no idea where to find the potato. It wasn't in the obvious spot (the kitchen).

Unfortunately not, that's not the right track.
That button opened a secret door in the nearby corridor. If it had been opened before, then it does nothing.

The scroll says you'll have to search for clues
    Tip: these clues are books.
One more tip: there's total 5 of them and they all must be read.

And don't rush to the potatoes - at least for now.

I have 3 puzzles ..now only the basement one with the metal door covering the entry, which you can see under...this is the last puzzle, but its sooo dark down there... I have searched the whole basement for a switch but cannot find one,any hint would be welcomed

Thanks, Dront. Nice mission. Reminds Sperry's style a bit.

I'm stuck and don't know what to do next. How to open the attic rooms trapdoors? There's also secret trapdoor on the ground in the garden, but it can't be open from there. And how to open the door near strange scroll? I read all books and still don't have any clues. A hint needed.

As far as I see those attic trapdoors can't be opened.

For the garden switch look up. And tell me how did you manage to get into the garden? ^^ Is there a possisiblity of moving that attic dummy?

Looks like it's a trap. Getting from the garden is impossible.

Ooops... Actually possible, with rope arrow from the tree onto the upper ledge.

No. That dummy was placed intentionally so you can't get out.
Remember what was written in a scroll in Barney's office, where you took 2 keys.
I have searched the whole basement for a switch but cannot find one,any hint would be welcomed
It seems you haven't found all the clues. See spoilers for Brethren or Winter Cat (below).

I guess you missed the one on the ground floor, near the very secret room where Jerome is trapped (and where you entered through the garden, which was unsupposed BTW).

And again, the way out is not through the courtyard (garden).
