Enjoy this new mini-FM, Awaiting the Storm by HappyCheeze. Playtime estimate: 30 to 60 minutes.
I've been living in the lowest part of town and this foul weather is simmering me to a fury. That and working at the docks to make ends meet. But that's where I overheard a trader say he deals in valuable antiquities - and he's staying at the local inn because of flooding.
Word is that he's brought part of his collection to donate to a museum so has hired a guard or two. I know someone who pays handsomely for artifacts and there must be other valuables at the inn. Perhaps both workplace and weather have changed my luck and I'll be able to get out of this place for good. But not before I stir things up. There's a storm coming - they'd best keep watch at the old tavern tonight!
KNOWN BUGS: Game may hang (0 fps) in streets near start possibly caused by storm effect. Make sure you quicksave near the start then a quickload should get it going again if it hangs. (not seen this problem for a while though.)

My thanks to HappyCheeze for this mission!
Damn ! Just visited ttlg and *bang*, a new DM mission !
A thousand thanks, it will be stormy tonight ...
To: HappyCheeze: I enjoyed this a lot it seems that with each new TDM mission that comes out they get better and better!!
P.s. Thanx Fidcal for bringing it to us!!
I finished the mission. The best part about this one is the use of ambient sounds. It wasn't very long, but that's NOT a bad thing/criticism. Not every mission has to take several hours to finish.
Thanks HappyCheeze.![]()
I'm short 176. I wonder where they may be ?
Anybody got into the room with the broken handle ?
Just finished it, thanks. A couple of notes:
1. Once after quick-loading the FPS dropped to almost zero, in the second floor of the inn. Loading the same quick-save again worked without a problem.
2. I was expecting the antique collection to be much more valuable, compared to the other loot items scattered around the level. For example there was a wine bottle behind the reception counter that was worth almost as much as the antique items.
Thanks for the mission!
Congrats, HappyCheeze! Downloading!
That's just a door. Used to be a simple bedroom but there was a bug (a bed bug?) so tired of trying to fix it and because the room wasn't important, it got sealed off.
mmm... In my last test I went round and got all the loot but darned if I'm very good at remembering. Let's see, hard to find loot depends on the player: There was an amulet or necklace I think on a bookcase in the innkeeper's room. Bottles ground floor and basement, 3 I think but unsure. In the first room near the start there is both a builder cog symbol and 3 items in a chest. Did you get in the room in the tunnel? Various goblets not obvious because some are not loot. The ones near the guys upstairs. In the room at the end of the corridor from the artifacts room where the sitting noble is there is a purse. Ooo Ooo Oh, I know, I know! The one I missed is there is a hard to see purse on one of the street city watch.
Lovely mission. Thanks to HappyCheeze.
I must be thick as a brick; been all over the tavern but can't find the antiquities dealers collection. Hint?
canetoad:It's in his room. His room is upstairs in the side corridor at the end nearest the dining/drinking area.
Thanks Fidcal. I completely missed that.
Edit: Confused the closed dealer's door with a non-existent open bar door.
Tell HappyCheeze that the leaking pipe in the barn is MAGNIFICENT.

the one by the cellar doors? that was a moment of brilliance... overall I found the outside architecture to be a bit simplistic, but it was still a fun mission. every time I thought I'd KOd everybody, another civilian came along and discovered a body!
now to find that 200g I missed...
Thanks for this mission, it was an enjoyable mission, though it could be a bit bigger, anyway i liked playing this one, nice music in the village and nice storylne
looking foward for more
