I'm pleased ... no, more like, really excited, to finally show what I've been working on with Sliptip for the past six months or so. (Or something like that... dromed time doesn't follow the real universe, I don't think!) Fables of the Penitent Thief! This started out, as most crazy ideas do, as something Sliptip was just fooling around with as a strange and different style that's totally unlike what people expect from Thief, harkening back to the old adventure and role playing games of yore. I wouldn't stand for that, though! I knew it had to be an Epic FM, and after some arm twisting (okay, it didn't really take much) it was decided that we'd work together and make this goofy idea a reality.
In Fables of the Penitent Thief, you must atone for your criminal ways! After you robbed the king of all of his prized possessions, an evil ghost threatens to take over the castle from the man who is no longer kingly enough to hold onto the throne. It's up to you to recover the king's treasures that you've pilfered, but where have they all gone? The new owners may not wish to part with them!

We can't wait to release it![]()
As an adventure game addict, I only have one thing to say in response to that trailer:
Squeeeee!

Tongue-tied into rare submission. WAHOO!
Ah, very fresh!
Beautiful visuals and sounds - and I love that its a take on old school adventure games. The art style alone is going to make it one of my favorite missions before I even play it.
Great work to both of you - and I look forward to playing the finished version. Very exciting stuff!
Just when you think the limits of Dromed have been reached......
TOTALLY AMAZING(LucasArts eat your heart out!)
The World of Goo music fit perfect.
I think I remember seeing similar screenshots a year or so ago...
there is so much in the trailer to be excited about, I don't even know where to start! the storybook look, the twisty house... "Squeeeee!" is right!
my crits (based on the trailer) are that the animated building materials make it look like the whole village is on a sugar high, and that the people really stick out - is there a way to "cell shade" the textures? also, the boat puzzle tease bit might be considered spoilery (bit late to do anything about that besides upload a new trailer). please don't take these points as nay-saying, I'm really excited - I just went "huh?" while watching and wanted to share my thoughts.
the waiting game begins... do you have a tentative date?

That looks adorable! I'm looking forward to playing this quirky (and twisty) new mission.
By the way, the time before the release might be a good time to replay Sliptip's Kill Factory and Kill Factory 2, since they feature a somewhat similar art style.
