Is there a fix for Temple of the Tides?

When you get to the room where you have to push the pedestal over one of the flames shooting from the floor it doesn't work anymore. The flames go right through it and there is no way to get to the mask you need. I have the latest scripts and all. I hope some one can help.

Edit: I forgot to say that I already had to rename nvscript to mayan and put it in the fan mission folder to make the teleport puzzle at the entrance work.

Last time I played this mission I didn't have a problem finishing the game, however if you upload a save Unna should be able to look into this and produce a dml if possible.

I appreciate your response. I never had issues ever before so I know it should work. I can upload a save if necessary.

Edit: If I need to upload a save how do I do it?

Edit2: Moderator can delete previous post as I went advance to try to upload and accidentally double posted. Sorry!

To upload a save, it's easiest if you use a quicksave. You need to upload it onto a file sharing site such as Google Drive, give permission to share the file otherwise only you can access the file, right click on the file and choose 'get a link', then simply post that link on the forum.

PS. You can delete your own post by clicking on the Edit Post in the bottom left hand corner of your post, then use the delete icon in the right hand bottom corner.

I hope this helps. Its a regular save as I never quick save. I can if need be.

I don't know what's wrong. Might be a script issue. There's a NVRelayTrap with design note.
    Code:
    NVProximityObj="^PushableStatue"; NVProximity=1.75; NVRelayTrapTDest="~ParticleAttachement"; NVRelayDelay=1500
It works for me, so I pushed the object on the flame.
Try this savegame. You should be able to go to the other side
    (ND 1.25)

Hey that worked. Thank you so much. I have all the latest scripts with nd1.25. Like I said above all I had to do was copy nvscript and rename to mayan in the fan mission directory for tides to get the teleport trap at the beginning to work. Any way to pinpoint the exact script that is causing the issue and fix it? I haven't had issues with any other mission.

That's NVScript (renamed to mayan.osm) in this case. Which OS do you use? Darkloader or FMSel/NewDarkloader?

I have windows 10 with NewDarkloader. So is NVscript where the issue is?

Please load an old savegame and push the object on the flame emitter. If it doesn't work, and the flame is still there, save it and upload the savegame. I can load it in DromEd to see what happened.
Add mayan/NVScript.osm, too (in a zip).

The save is posted above and is the only one I have. The nvscript is the latest from a download that you posted elsewhere. I can zip if if absolutely necessary.

The save you posted is perfect for you. Load it in the game, push the object over the fire wall and hit F11. Then upload quick.sav

    Thanks. It's working.
Did you play this mission with Darkloader years ago? Maybe there's an old mayan.osm in the T2 main folder.

If this failure is due to the script module just not loading on Stingm's system then it's nothing inherent in the save file. Have we tried downloading the latest NVScript.osm and renaming it?

I've the same nvscript renamed as mayan.osm on Win7/64bit (this is NVScript 1.25). The old version from the zip also works just fine.
@Stingm: Please post Thief2.log. It's in the T2 main folder.
You can get brand new NVScript (1.26) here
    http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134166
Rename it to mayan.osm and try it.

Well, what we saw with older NVScripts failing to load is that it varied from system to system and didn't even always fail consistently on any given person's system. I used to see it sporadically after I updated from XP to Vista, but some people never saw it. Updating to the latest NVScript should resolve it for about anyone though, as he changed the way it's compiled a few years ago IIRC.

The new NVScript 1.26 module was loaded
    : Loaded script module "mayan.osm" [FileVer=1.2.4.0 ; ProductVer=1.2.4.0 ; FileModDate=2017-Dec-30]
This is the same product version as NVScript 1.25. Is this correct?

    (quote from my Thief2.log)

@Stingm: Another try. Please start Thief2.exe in compatibility mode
    - First Win 7
    - Then Win 8
    Any difference?

Sorry it took a bit but no difference. Any other ideas? This is wierd as this is the only mission affected.

Did you try with the brand newest version which Unna linked to above, renamed to mayan.osm? That should fix it.

Yes I did. I even replaced the version in main t2 directory. Unfortunately no change and its just this mission. Really weird.
