    Replaying this one on expert mode, iīm suppose to shoot a waterarrow to the hot wax above the stove, but i donīt have any waterarrow left and garrett canīt share those infinite waterarrows from the sewer, what now?

    Down in the big canal, in one of the corners (below where the main guy's room is), a water arrow spawns every minute.

    But that arrow is only accessible to Garrett, is there a way for Garrett to share his water arrows to his companion thief?

    Once you get the master key, Palmer will have access to the water arrow then. But by that time it really won't matter because you can just use Garrett for that objective.

    There’s a red potted plant in the Thief's den near the book where you get the objective to get some revenge. Shoot a water arrow at the plant and the worm will appear.

    Holly crap, duel Thieves! I love this game mechanic! Took me a while to figure out where to get the poison worms from, or rather how to make them appear. Nice dual vault puzzle codes.

    6579 of 7489 Loot
    6 out of 5 pockets picked, whatever that means.
    3 of 6 secrets.

    This unique FM with two characters is now playable in german and french, too. The ZIP contains an additional DML to fix some minor problems and to enable the multi-language display of some objects which have been defined in DromEd.

    I've got a problem with this one lately. Switch item in inventory transports one to his partner on use sometimes, at random it seems. So both thieves are stuck on the same side of one of them. Very rarely it also multiplies them so I get three thieves instead of two. Would be an awesome way to create an army of taffers then go raid some Bafford's but I fear I can't complete the mission this way.
    I run NewDark 1.27, get this with both in-built FMSel and DarkLoader. It certainly never happened on older versions, more so, it still works right with old saves. So it looks as if some scripts aren't loaded when I begin the mission. Still, there is no warning note nearby Garrett's starting place about that.

    Do you know which version of ND 1.27 your using? The current one is 1.27d released July 2020

    We extensive tested this mission with Zappenduster, Apiai, Baeuchlien, Jax, Glypher and myself all involved in testing when the translated files were made and none of us experienced anything like your describing. We tested using ND 1.27c

    My concern is that you say you have played this mission using Darkloader, why was that? If you have played using Darkloader, if you play any mission ever using Darkloader or in anyway still have Darkloader on your computer, external HD, back of a cupboard or even the laundry basket, any save you upload for us to investigate may be useless as DL may have corrupted your Thief install.

    We probably can only fully investigate this if you use a completely clean Thief install, replay the mission and upload 2 saves, one just before the 3rd thief appears and another once he has appeared.

    But send us any saves you have anyway, never know we may be able to see what's going on.

    I have been testing a bit with NewDark 1.27 made with T2Fix v1.27d, and mainly with DarkLoader for playing the mission. Difficulty level was Normal, OS was an ancient Windows Vista SP2. In very specific circumstances, I was able to make one of the two player characters go over to the other one's side. However, it was mainly a glitch occurring when the player runs towards a gate or fence at the places where Garrett and Palmer are meant to meet and exchange items, and using the switch function while approaching the gate/fence. Saving a game right before "glitching through a fence" was useless; after reloading such a savegame, "glitching through" simply didn't work anymore, while it worked repeatedly just before saving that game. Saving after one of the two characters crossed over to the other one's side worked; one could reload that game, and the two were still on the same side.

    I never had a third thief appear. I also never experienced that one thief character was teleported towards the other one's location if both had some distance between them.

    Hm. Could this be an issue with the Multiplayer patch applied again? I did not check that so far...

    I can't remember how I set up the player swapping system (it's been over ten years!), but I'm pretty sure I wrote a tutorial for it here on TTLG.

    From what you are describing it seems like either one of the scripting elements is not getting its ON or OFF signal, or getting it out of order.

    Unbelievable. Never would I think before now that the Dark Engine, Newdark or otherwise, was capable of player character swapping. I think I would've recalled if I'd tried out this mission, so the moment I have a chance I'm going to download this and play it. Thank you for the helpful tutorial you posted along with this FM, too!

    It seems I can't play the mission for some reason, I get the note outside telling me NVscript is not working properly even on a clean T2Fix installation. Any help?

    Hi, I am already on that version and it still wouldn't work. But I did get it to work hopefully, all I did was copy and rename NVScript.osm from the OSM folder to NVS.osm which overwrites the old version used by the mission. So far it seems to work fine, character switching and everything.

    Damn Zappen, I saw your post too late! But thatīs just one more reason to replay this awesome mission and I definitely WILL replay this one... especially now that I can play it in german Thanks so much!!
