Just started playing this and I'm having a grand old time! The design, artwork, and concept are really outstanding. You gents have outdone yourselves. Wow.

I'm also impressed by all the new sounds like the gibbering voices, the upgraded wood floor footsteps, and the rattling elevator-in-motion sounds. (These are just a few I noticed in the first couple of minutes.) Who created the new effects?

Well, don't be. You know this community is obsessed with finding secrets and hidden things/ locations. We can't help it.After all ,you, the authors are to blame for our obssesions.
As far as commenting about the mission, I think pvone and Sagittal covered me-and in better English anyway- personaly. But, if you wish to hear about the "not so" things, in my opinion ,from the view of a paying customer,it might be the music-more variery or less volume- , the constant moving of everything was somewhat annoying , -is any way for a more "slow" movement?- and the drinking puzzle -is old.-One of the Zork's if I remember correctly, and the nature of this engine just made it easier(highlight). Other than that, I will say again that it was lovely and that I loved it. And that I have played a lot of payed games that were so inferior to this. And that I thank you both so much for making it.

I'm embarassed to say I'm not sure of the original sources for the new sounds. Some have just accumulated on my hardrive over the years and some have come from a buddy who has a vast collection.

Hardly a sufficient answer, but it's all I got

    Thanks, Sliptip, Just curious.

I'm about halfway through the mission and I'm loving the quests. The ways in which all the locations and characters relate to each other are really clever. Also, Gardener's house is absolutely one of the coolest, most mindbending things I've ever seen in an FM. Holy cow. Masterfully designed.

the textures are hurting my eyes, gah, i've had to delete the animations to make it playable. now, off to steal some apples.

Interesting how quickly the brain discards the shivering textures as useless information, eh? I stopped noticing it (unless I stopped to admire the artwork) after 10 minutes.

Great work, folks, a true GAME. Like a good book, I couldn't put it down until I was finished. Love the TG reference, too. Long live Dromed!

This was a very entertaining change of pace from the usual serious stuff. Fairly easy, but those little ideas (like the cracks in the wall in the second mission with the webbed guards) make it even more awesome. Lighthearted and fun. The architecture is legitimately good, too, although I haven't gone around with crates in hand... yet!

That was inspired! Truly a great piece of game design. I especially liked the gardener's crazy house and the fact that he kept popping up in every room. To truly "market" it to children who may never have played Thief, the only thing I can think to add is maybe an optional tutorial area, explaining things like the light gem and rope arrows.

Also, some fantastic texturing on the objects. I could have sworn for a second that you'd actually got a "chrome" effect working in the dark engine for the keys and other shiny things!

I never thought the words "charming" or "adorable" could ever be applied to a Thief FM, let alone an awesome Thief FM, but so it is: THIS GAME IS SO ADORABLE!!
I love everything about it so far and am about half way through. That rope beast is creepy, though! I wonder what it wants. .

I finished this last night and I can't think of anything to say that hasn't already been said. It's fun, unique, adorable and would be terrific to play with a kid. Thanks very much!

I really wanted to play this mission, but after i collected 5 apples, I got so dizzy, so I had to stop playing, sorry. I cant stand constant moving of textures.
I liked those simple cartoonish gfx and those-good-old-days music. Voices of the characters reminded me "Fur Fighters" game, which I enjoyed very much
Is there any ways to remove the animation of the walls and floor?

Sorry to give you a headache The easiest way to fix it is to do what Otto did:

    1. Go to your T2 directory and find the fam folder
    2. Inside that you'll see a few subfolders. Look inside them for files that have an "_" after the name. (eg. wall_, Wall_1, Wall_2 etc.
    3. Delete all the files with a number after the name but leave the one that doesn't have a number, so for example:

    wall_.pcx <--- leave that one
    wall_1.pcx <---- delete
    wall_2.pcx <---- delete
    etc.

Feel free to PM me if you have any problems or need clarification.

also obj/txt16 for the door textures too. i love the character interaction, the yes/no plaques that come up to accept a side quest are awesome.

Wait a sec. I just started to play and noticed that the walls and everything are pulsating. I can't play it that way if it is meant to be played. Very distracting to me at least. Will the above fix stop the pulsating? The AI voices are garbled too. What can I do about the voices? Thanks!

Tsk! All this moaning! I love the animated textures! It's like a charmingly scrappy children's cartoon! It's not like there's craftily hidden loot that might get lost against the textures, and the brushes themselves don't move, so I really can't see what the problem with them is...?

I'd love to play this in all its glory but my dozy pc really doesn't like it so I've removed the animation and I'm positively speedy. When I get home though I'll definitely load it up on my own pc and enjoy it anew.

Have to say though, that I'm not at all interested in the easter eggs. Probably comes from not liking chocolate!

the voices are meant to be garbled, like on an old game where you read the text and the person had a weird electronic sound for a voice. i would have used a sound effect like the legend of zelda used instead. the voices are hard on the ears.
