    Garrettloader stable release.

Sorry if this is common knowledge here, but where can I download a stable release of Garrettloader? I vaguely remember a thread stickied on this forum, but now I can't find a link anywhere.

    Thanks.

Since potterr's website is down it can be difficult to find Garrettloader. I've uploaded a copy of version 1.41 here. If you want to get the latest release you can download the beta version 1.42 here. I haven't had any problems with either of them.

To install version 1.42, just unzip the file and copy the file garrettloader.exe into your 1.41 folder and let it overwrite the existing file.

Thank you. As always, you are all helpful. Also, thank you for telling me how to use the 1.42 beta. I tried unzipping it and using it as is and that met with failure.

I have said in some of the other threads like this that I use ModernLoader for Thief 3 without any problems at all. Here is a link.

As far as I'm aware, all the mission loaders are in the Fan Mission Links Thread sticky.

FMSel is also available for Thief 3, with the Sneaky Upgrade. (That link has it listed as "NewDark FM Selector", so you get the impression it's a T1-2 only thing.)

I've made a couple of adjustments. Is that enough?

Thanks - but if you go straight to the loader section it's still not very clear... Maybe something like this?

    FMSel (T1/T2) (T3)
While nitpicking, GarrettLoader is for all three games, so it should have either none or all three games listed (and in the latter case ML and TFMM should too).

I know that GL is for all three but I was under the impression that DL was preferred for 1 and 2. I'll remove the Ts.

I need to make sure it's completely clear that the FMSel link for T1 and T2 is a help thread and not a downloadable installer like the others. And the T3 is included in your patch. Just having T1/T2 and T3 won't make that obvious.

It is. And it should probably be marked "T1/T2 only" or similar, since it's the only loader which is not for all three games...

As for FMSel, maybe the most important information, for newcomers at least, is that the best way to get it is through TFix/TafferPatcher/SU?

You're doing it deliberately, aren't you? Just because I'm a bit dozy today!

I think I'll leave things as they are for the moment as that's only supposed to be an easy access links thread. But I haven't done anything to the FM FAQ since adding the link to NewDark so perhaps it's time I did a bit of work on that and include all the relevant info in the FAQ. There's a section on DL and GL already so it would make sense to add it in there.

This might be a good thread to sticky...I have had shed loads of problems with an error message stating that something needed to be in the same folder etc...this download worked first time off and the 1.42 update was just the icing on the cake...I can now play T3 fan missions again.

I think we're all stickied up actually.

I don't see anything new here really (apart from snobel trying to wind me up), just links to downloads already posted in various places. The only thing I did find is that the 1.41 version in the FM links thread was out of date so that's been updated.

Fair enough. Sorry about the winding up.
