If you decided to add some vines, maybe also one vine at the moment 1:48 for nice looks in video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftDaRrSSdfM ?

I do not know how you find the time or motivation to fix all the bugs but Bravo thanks for all the hard work.
Seems like your constantly bombarded with new bugs to fix.

-zombies are just buggy, I was asking around and it seems like this is script related, so not something I can fix. you'll just have to live with it. it's not game breaking, and adds to the creepiness in a way.
-that graphics glitch looks like something going on with the z-buffer. any modifications to the cfg files?
-elevator bug: no idea. and, as you yet again needed to do things normal players wouldn't do, it's not all that terrible.

-double checked, limpy Joe is definitely not springing the alert the old way, so it's something else. try to find out, or share your saves.

-trying to run a custom resolution on two monitors? should work, but you will have to manually edit it into your cam.cfg (game_screen_size 2880 1800) and into your cam_ext.cfg as well (user_mode1 2880 1800). you better not be trying this on some intel integrated laughware.

@Thelvyn: you don't really want to know.

There is no elevator bug in Thief 1.37, it is only in 1.19, 1.20 and 1.21 as I tested each of these. There are other glitches in Thief 1.37 without bug with elevator; for me, it's a choice between plague and cholera

perfect, thanks! i missed adding it to cam_ext.cfg as well.
one monitor and down-res'ing to 1920x1200 with a gtx670, looks amazing compared to original.

Bow glitch while shooting arrow to Zombie - how to fix it? - video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSSevS6oIac

this is probably related to the fire arrow problem, and probably a problem with your system - maybe the gpu driver. post your thief.log. also, are you using default cfg files?

//ok, this should not be possible, as Garrett's hand should tire after a while and drop the bow. you are breaking the game intentionally - basically, you take a car, drive nails through all the wheels, pour hydrochloric acid instead of gasoline, and then state "it's broken". well, no surprise. you can prevent this very easily - just don't do it.

Got hopeful there, went back to my quicksave and yet I still get this annoying bug. Tried with TFix only and TFix w/HD MOD 0.9.2, it always happens. I'm using the Steam version of Thief Gold, and while I'm sure that doesn't make any difference, I'm just stating that here for clarity. Just don't understand what is going on.

I just followed "Limpy Joe" and knocked him out with the blackjack. Hid him somewhere in the basement along with the tray, bread and wine to prevent this from happening so I can actually move on with the game. Thanks for taking the time to check that out, I apologize if any of my prior posts might have come off as unappreciative (particularly my reply about the guard room). I need to stop playing from memory and just adapt to what the game throws at me now, bugs and all.

A bow glitch happened to me also in unpatched Thief 1, with all gpu drivers as I tested.

a file that is in your Thief folder. also, did you modify your cfg files or not?

yeah, that's one way of solving it. might be possible that it was some crazy edge case issue, dark engine is sometimes weird like that. I'll have a look at the rest of the saves later, if I find something I can fix, I'll include it in the next TFix release.

also, I think I know what happened in the guard room - the lights have been repositioned slightly, as they were floating off walls (this level was terrible in this regard), changing the shadows just a little bit. unfortunately, it's either that or obvious bad object placement.

There is no thief.log at the beginning (TG folder). Where can I find this file in my TG folder? Or how to create it?

thief.log will get created every time you run the game (NewDark only, of course). so it must be in the Thief folder, unless you are running olddark.

I have only thief.exe and thief.txt but not thief.log. Why?

the "txt" file is probably the log, and your system is set up to hide its extension and assigns a txt file icon to it. post its contents here.

Yeah, the lighting/shadow issue was also the case in Ramirez's counting room in the basement too. Though, that room was a lot more manageable due to the size and the fact that it is only one NPC there. Again, thanks for your time.

    here is your problem:

that should fix the problem with the coffin clipping through the zombie when fire arrow is fired. in case this is not a laptop, do the world a favor, and buy a real graphics card - even a $5 card from the local store's junk bin would be many times faster than the intel integrated crap, and would certainly fix a lot of graphics issues.

first one is a sound propagation problem, and should be easy enough to fix. the other two are hardcore exploits (as you had to nudge your way through, that's not something your regular taffer will do), maybe I'll plug the holes with invisible walls (I hate doing that).

i dont think these hardcore exploits are worth fixing
no normal player will do that and its a cool trick for veterans and speedrunners(i should start routing newdark at some point)
