    This second thing in first video (guard blocked by this archer) is not very "don't do that" category, because this problem is random. The same problem will be with blocked mages.

    no idea which book you mean, but yeah, the fire elementals should be fixed (only firing one projectile at the player, same as in oldDark). and yeah, Mage Towers is so full of crap that I would be able to spend a year in this level alone. everything will be fixed sooner or later. the firebowl in Lost City has been set to collide with AIs and block pathfinding (red means not passable), if that's not cutting it, well, tough luck. maybe I'll have a second look later.




    that "hole" thing is an exploit, you are doing something you shouldn't be doing at a place where you are not supposed to be. unless it's a place where the player can fall through the brush by accident (like the one in the Sword or Cathedral), I'm not going to fix.

    the general rule here is, if you need to do something very special to trigger it, it's an exploit, and I don't care about those too much - same as I don't care about the user hitting the hard reset switch on the pc, which will technically break the game as well.

    There is no this hole in TFix 1.18 (and of course in original map), so looks like you added this hole to map. How exactly did you added this hole?

    I tested mission "The Lost City" and still there is multi shot from fire elementals.

    Glitches "Where is his hammer?" and "magic hammer" are still possible to use.

    I did not add anything, but when brushes are modified and the level reprocessed, some things change, and new problems might be introduced (that's why I don't touch brushes unless I really have no other choice). it was probably caused by making the perimeter wall larger. as I've said, I'm not too concerned, as it's not a place where a regular player can simply trip and fall out of the level.

    the fire elementals are dml fixed, that means old saves are unusable, you will have to restart the level. //and yeah, this is broken. will have to figure out why.

    the texture stuff is easy to fix, sound propagation and pathfinding will be left alone for now, they are both pain to get right.

    the torches have some extra light settings on them that make them produce light even after they have been extinguished, nice little leftover from whatever was LGS trying to test all those years ago. easy to fix, but finding ALL the torches with those extra settings is going to be a pain. maybe you want to do it?

    that last thing is caused by Garrett having a slightly variable height because of head bobbing - basically, if the space is just as tall as Garrett, and you try to walk in when his head is at its max, he will not fit. just crouch, and you will be able to go on. this is a feature, not a bug.


    I have no idea how to fix some things, like that mage repeating just one line. there is no such thing as perfection in this world.

    Some earth mages from level "The Mage Towers" repeats one line. Also there is one earth mage from level "The Lost City" that repeats all lines, and one earth mage that repeats one line. About mission "The Lost City" - earth mage 1 is the same character like earth mage 2; and these characters should be 100% the same. So, earth mage wasn't damaged, but.. something other. I don't know what exactly.

    Also, when fire mage will use his fire, this papyrus will fly. To fix, or this is original intention?

    You also had in mind engine bugs? From what I know, editing exe file is impossible; looks like "infinitely long active holy water arrow" is an engine bug (exe bug), impossible to fix in DromEd.

    explosive damage and the way it interacts with physics objects is one giant can of worms - changing it to work in at least slightly sane way would require a lot of effort, and a good deal of custom resources as well. it may happen someday, but it won't be too soon - mainly because such undertaking would probably require a proper modeler, and a texture artist, not just one guy poking at things at 1:00 AM.

    the temporary fix for this particular situation would be to remove physics properties from the scroll so it would not be affected by the explosion (which is weird, but less weird than having it bounce around like a drunk butterfly).

    as mentioned before, no idea what's up with the mages and their sound schemas. anyway, not a big deal, as 99% of players won't trigger this.

    zombies are crazy, and do weird things. must be all the maggots inside their heads.

    also, not sure what do you mean, but I will release/upload whichever version I feel is proper at the given moment - 1.20 is currently reserved for maps with working candles included, so until that is done, it's going to be 1.19x (just for the record, TFix 1.19 still uses the latest version of NewDark, not the initial 1.19 version).

    texture errors are easily fixable (including the regressions on the elemental towers, they are there because I had to go back three builds because of the water tower problem), the rest are exploits.

    "What is it?" isn't a exploit; there are brush defects and texture defects in one place.

    I saw that you fixed this first hole in level "The Mage Towers"; let me know, if you want to fix this second hole in the same level (screenshot or video would be rather required from me).

    I did not create or fix any brush hole, this is just something that may happen when you modify brushes and reprocess the level. as mentioned before, unless the player can fall in accidentally (like in the Cathedral), I'm not too concerned - getting stuck in brushes (and falling through) in edge case scenarios is something that simply happens sometimes (NewDark even has a command that can unblock the player when this happens, I believe).

    I also had in mind that exemplary user still can use this TFix's attraction (this second hole of course). This rule "TFix (NewDark) is for those who "just want to play nicely, with as little hassle as possible"" seems as fulfilled.

    Haunted Cathedral. there was a hole in the lower part of the level that was really easy to fall into - you just had to walk into it. that has already been fixed.
