Important Note:
If you should experience any problems with the cutscenes in the mission, please do the following:
1. open the missions .zip-file (ComplicatedCargo.zip)
2. search for the file "gen.osm"
3. copy this file into your Thief2 folder and overwrite the existing one (if there is one)

I'm a little stuck here. I've got the first cargo but I can't figure out what to do with the flare. I can't use it or light it.I'm sure I'm missing something obvious. Help?
Just drop it on the appropriate roof.
I must have the wrong roof as I tried that and nothing happened. I'll go try again. Thanks, Tannar!

I droped the flare at the first roof and the ship moved. Now, what do I do? I have no flare for the next appropriate roof.
Have you put the cargo on board? If not, you'll have to do that to get the next flare.
How to put the cargo on board? I am at the first marked place, the ship has come here, but I've got nothing to put on it!
I'm not sure I totally understand. If you have the cargo then climb the ladder on Serenity and frob the hatch. If you haven't got the cargo yet then you need to get into Castle Van Vernon and collect the cargo from the safe. You'll need a safe key from the room next door.
Have found a secret but can't find a way out of this room. Just one room with a money box. Door is not frobbable. Only way out is back thru window and to use slowfall potion which ends the game. Should I have done something else before I got here?
This mission is FANTASTIC!!!!!
Never mind. I didn't think I could do what I HAD to do to get on my way again. Love this mission.

Oh WOW!!! I'm having the time of my life with this one! Great job intruder! I'm kind of stuck, however. I'm trying to find the Shemenov Estate; I'm just east of the Necromancer's tower, have already rope arrowed onto the building roof with the metal hatch (across from the ledge directly east of the Necr. Tower) & have jumped over to the landing to the east where you then mantle up over a high brick wall. But this just leads back to Vernon Est. What am I missing, please? According to the map, the Shemenov Est. should be just to the east of the Necromancer's tower, but I'm not finding it.

Taxing my memory here. If you've got onto the roof with the hatch and then gone over the railing and up the wall with the crate by it and then turn right and go to the end of the wall, you should come out above a tower overlooking the Shemenov Estate.
Dia, there are 3 ways to get there:
1. travel through the stargazer's attic until you reach a room where you can open 2 shutters, open them and proceed through the window - you're there
2. remember the conversation between Mr. and Mrs. Bumblesom about not being invited to Karras' party? Just climb up the wall next to the window and you'll see the the roof, marked with an "X"
3. when you are at the Dayport Trader's bank, just climb through the window to the right (rear balcony), move through this room, leave it through the other window, mantle up the wall and then go through the door to the right
Well, that was different and fun. "Complicated" is the right word, particularly for Cargo 6!
I didn't make the basic loot requirement or the bonus and only got 4 secrets, so I'll have to play it again when I have more time. Many thanks for an entertaining afternoon.![]()

When I started reading the objectives i was like hmm this reminds me of... and then the camvator sequence sealed it - awesome already dude and I have only landed on the roofs...
2 hours & 30 minutes of fun! Fantastic job, Steffen! The Reavers were a nice touch; Serenity has always been an all time favorite of mine as well. Well done indeed!![]()

Apart from the novel Hammerite Clocktower part the exploring was like "putting on an old glove" (Sorry, English expression- and meant as a compliment: the easy, warm company of an old friend). Ahh, the memories of The Unwelcome Guest demo - my introduction to Thief.
Loved the new areas you opened up for us - and the snow. I was sure I was going to have to repel a boarding party or 2 at some stage. Only 4 out of 9 secrets - I'll have to replay shortly!

after I drop off cargo #3, I end up on top of the ship, cannot move, cannot continue. anyone else had this issue?
---pressing spacebar seemed to fix the issue and I was back on the roof and ready to move on. I had no new flare though.
wonder if the ogg files that did not get translated to wav files means some dialogue was left out that I needed to hear.

where is the cargo for apartment drop?
Yes, after dropping cargo 3 on the ship there is a cutscene that plays. What are you using to play the mission, darkloader or garrettloader? Whichever one you are using, you might try the other one.
It is in the storage room with the elevator on the first floor of the apartments. The apartments are the building with the fire escape ladder outside the window.
