Yes, the character screen is the correct dimensions, but the character screen is the first layer and remains to be more detailed. Hence, MAN_BASE. It'll still be all in a 16-bit art style though, as per the sprites.

At the moment, I need to concentrate on getting the ability to drag items of equipment from the inventory to the character, and have the avatar overlay with individual clothing items. If you ever played UW1 or UW2, I'm aiming for that level of detail on the character screen.

Yakoob, if I'm happy enough with the game it'll be paid for. After all, if people are making money from shite like Candy Crush.. but hey, I'm making this game because it's a game I want to play. I wouldn't be doing it otherwise.

Ulukai - aah that happened to me with Postmortem, close to release I realized we reached a level of polish I didn't quite except so figure why the heck not and opened the paying option up two weeks before release haha!

On my end, in another episode of AI shenanigans, today I learned what happens when your NPCs don't know how to open doors. Apparently they dropkick them out of the frame O_O

Sell if for $1 or something. If it's good, word of mouth will keep the money trickling in. I'd buy it, just because I like dungeon stuff and 0.60 isn't much risk.

I'm not really into roguelikes but might still get it to support a fellow dev.

On my end, I am starting to reveal more info about my game for those who are curious just initial hopes, so no promises yet.

And today, I got my doors swinging both ways, as well a usable picklock that... picks locks. YAY

Why pick a lock when you can drop-kick the door out of its frame?

Yea me too, I know from experience there's some stuff that will probably end up being cut, but I'm at least trying to lay out the systems for all the features so I have more reason not to ("well I already coded all that in..." )
