T2 Fm - The Last Lighthouse Keeper (Updated 03/22/2011)

    A big thanks to betatesters:

    Mabsy
    Peter Smith
    Tannar
    Undead gamer

    Special thanks to:

    - Peter Smith, who convinced me to change a little history: for having corrected the texts and for the invaluable advice.
    - Tannar, for the LOOT AND CONSUMABLE LISTS (in the zip file), for having corrected the texts and for the invaluable advice.
    - Yandros, for coming to the rescue and fixing some bugs.
    - Mabsy, for the invaluable advice.
    - SlyFoxx for dialogues in English.
    - Lord Alan for dialogues in Italian.
    - Dussander for having me at his testing site (shalebridgecradle.co.uk).

    - Namless Voice and Telliamed for the scripts.

Dialogues are written by Peter Smith.

Multi language support: English and Italian

    ---

    Changes in version 1.1

Mission no longer crashes when entering game world.
Mission no longer crashes when blackjacking or picking up
    Hammerites.
Candles now attach to plates correctly.
I was unable to replicate several reported problems but they were
likely related to a script error and may have been fixed.

Thanks to Yandros, Tannar and Nickie for your help.

A big thanks to brethren for the link:

    The Last Lighthous Keeper v1.1

Remember to read the readme file.

    Enjoy

This is a really superb mission, I've yet to finish it but look forward to doing so! This one will be at or near the top of a lot of people's "Best of 2011" lists I imagine.

Thanks for the mission. But I am having a problem. Garretloader cannot determine to be an fm. The mission is in the right folder. So I do not understand this problem.
I notice that the total file is 684 KB Is there another place to download this mission.
    thanks

I'm realling loving this mission so far, just adore the architecture and the new sounds!!
However, when I'm in the kitchen and bj the hammer I get a crash to desktop!
    Anyone else experiencing that??

I had the same thing happen. I tried again and this time the entire file downloaded (69.2 mb).

I've deleted and downloaded 3 times. Can't get past the selection area. What kinds of new scripts are in this fm?

We never encountered a crash there during testing and I just tried it several times with the released mission and I did not have any crash. I don't know what could be causing it for you but maybe someone else will have some ideas.

It uses the standard scripts: gaylesaver's script.osm and tnhscript.osm, as well as NVScript.osm and script-T2.osm

If you're playing with Windows 7, NVScript might be the reason. Unfortunately I don't have the time to download and check what NVScript has been used for in this mission, but there is a fix for the script problem found by Yandros:
Fix: Thief2 fails to load NVScript

Btw: What is "script-T2.osm"? Never seen this one before...

Just checking in. I'm experiencing and immediate crash upon entering the game world. I'll check the NV script issue.

    edit...tried that...nothing.

Anyway I pulled out NVscript.osm, thnscript.osm, scrip.osm and script-t2.osm and the game launced OK. I put back NVscritp and it launced OK. I put back script-t2 and it launched ok but this time I see a time and location noted at the top of the screen. I put back the thnscript and it launched. When I put script.osm in it crashed. So script.osm seems the culprit here.

    Is this going to work?

I have Windows XP.....did the Among Two Storms test and did not have "a message on the wall" when I turned left so that script must be o.k.

Later....but, that's o.k. I'm now sitting here with a plate of corned beef and cabbage and a glass of cold Stella Artois. Ah, the Irish in me is happy today!

    I've got

    a candle

    a calling card

    Enzio Letter

Where to use all these things?

Where's the hand in the attic?

The position of the hand: Climb up the ladder to the attic and walk through the round room. Then continue the corridor and look for a small manhole in the wall on the right side. After you go through it, focus on the spiderwebs . Hope, it is understandable, I am not native speaker .

I am assuming that script.osm is gaylesaver's script. I will double check with Eternauta. If so, we could just swap it with a fresh one maybe?
