Hmm, I'm not really sure which ones work the best, but of the ones shown in the thread I think it'd be between picture 1 and 4.
Do you need help narrowing down which texture to use, or are you fine? After all, that's quite a few textures to choose from.

Hmmm... but I guess the first screenshot would rather fit for SystemShock
Do any modelers want to team up with Gecko to make a bigger HD mod? I think high poly humans would look better in the dark engine with high resolution textures. In System Shock 2 it's possible the character mods detract a bit from the horror feel, but I'm wondering if these HD textures will jar with the current models (see Gecko's zombies). There's plenty of time before summer.![]()
All of thots are stunning, but that last shot is just amazing. The metal texture is so details.

El_ has brought up a good point. There really should be some HD character models for Thief like the 'rebirth' mod for SS2.
On second thought, the main reason it doesn't work for SS2 is because it's much more obvious that every model is a copy of another, when less detail makes your imagination work in overdrive. The same problem applies to Thief.
But Gecko, if you do decide to do Thief 2, I wonder if you'll find it your calling to polish Thief 3
These latest shots are incredible.
Well, I think the main problem here is mixing high res textures with low res models/textures. Playing thief with the original textures and models is still tolerable to me even after all these years. (Although the AI more so than the textures.) Now mixing them feels odd because of the difference in quality, although it'd be far more noticeable I guess mixing low res textures with high res textures versus hi res textures with low res AI.

Yeah me too. I've been thinking about replaying Thief Gold for a long time, but this is definitely worth the wait.
Those metal textures are stunning. Especially the middle one in the last batch. The corroded metal literally seems to be flaking off.

really awesome man! i just reinstalled all the Thief games, i plan to replay them. I am currently playing Baffords mission.... but i need to wait for this wonderful update, on the other hand i cant control myself to stop playing the game yet. Any news on a release mate?
