Gecko do you let people to use your beautiful textures in T2 FMs? Haven't seen them there.
Thank you Gecko for the last newest version. I have already integrated your patch with other mods, patches and addons. This time I will finish the game without low fps near fireplaces (yeah, the new graphic card rules!). Thx a lot man!

Should be exactly the same like in TFix - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcImyMSE8hc (after the fact I can't complete the mission).
Blue texture - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DarL48wPrFA
How long yet with "Zombie Splatter Effects"? Video about these Zombie Splatter Effects was recorded more than 6 months ago.
Microsoft's .Net framework 2.0 is needed to run ddfixgui.exe, check to make sure you have that.. Could be why it's not working but I'm not sure. May just be that it doesnt work on windows 98. If you don't want to mess with ddfixgui then just do the "manual version" method as you posted above.

Thief 2 HD mod is due out later this week
http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/08/05/th...ater-this-week
Here we go... http://www.moddb.com/mods/thief-2-hd...e-mod/#4759264
Gecko, before I forget - I have added dml fingerprinting to the TFix 1.20 maps (this makes sure the dmls will not affect FMs in any way), that means you can now choose whether you want the TFix dmls to be applied to your maps or not. the dmls are disabled by default, to re-enable them you need to add a qvar to the map that would identify it as an orig mission, type
into the Dromed command window and press enter (this should create a origmis var with the value of 1 under editors/quest data), and save the map. any other value than 1 will disable dmls again.Code:quest_create_mis origmis,1
//ok, ignore this, not necessary, as hdmod disables TFix mods completely. so nothing to see here, everything is fine.

Man, I can't wait!
Gecko, I have a question (or maybe a problem). I don't know if it's a bug, or a feature, I'm a little confused.
I have Thief Gold installed with TFix 1.20, and HD Mod 093, everything as instructed. In the level Escape! and Strange Bedfellows, there seems to be a distinct fog around the player, that makes everything pinkish and greenish in the distance. And it makes the night sky look the same color as the fog, which is kind of... weird. It was dark in the original missions. So instead of dark night sky, it is pinkish in Escape, and green in Strange Bedfellows. After this I removed only the HD mod, and the sky was normal again. The question is, is this intentional, or a bug with the mod?
You can see what I mean at the beginning of this mission here, the sky is greenish (the video is not mine, also warning, bad audio):

Also, the space room in Escape!, where you can see the dark emptiness (same as in The Sword) is white with HD mod enabled. As in... not dark, it's completely white. All of it. Weird...

Gecko, thanks again for the amazing mod.
I have a question though: do you plan to update the mod with the latest NewDark? TFix has been updated (1.20) but the HD 0.9.3 overwrites the latest improvements.
hdmod does not include NewDark - it will run on whatever version is already installed.
Ohh darn, I'm officialy an idiot! I didn't notice the Fogging option in the video settings, which toggles that fog I mentioned... Without that everything looks normal. Oh, man![]()
But don't you want to see the fog? What you're doing just sounds like a temporary solution. Sounds like the infamous fog bug has reared its ugly head.
I know there were fog problems with graphics cards a long time ago with just regular old Dark Engine before NewDark and this HD mod.
I just thought that it is a bug of some kind, because it was so weird that until the level Escape! there was no sign of this fog, and this effect made everything blurry and bright. As I said, even the sky and those space/emptiness rooms too were lit up like a christmas tree, I didn't understand what or why this was happening. And then I realized that there is a Fog option in the video settings. Setting that to Off disables this feature in the last three missions of Thief Gold, which makes everything dark again like in the original.
Bottom line, it's a feature, and I kinda don't like it. I know that it might be some kind of Constantine influence effect, but the fact that it makes everything bright as hell (even the sky) detracts from the experience. And another problem with it is that it makes those space/dark/emptiness rooms in Escape and Strange Bedfellows completely bright with no dark background.
Are you running the game with bloom? Config 2 Bloom tends to oversaturate some of the sources and creates the "Oblivion-Effect", which I personally hate as well.
Config 1 (no Bloom) is very nice though and adds to the atmosphere. I think the fog fits, it kinda shows in the intro as well so I think that whenever Trickster goes, that fog follows.
I still have to see how it's with Config 3 enabled as till now everything looked much much better than Config 2.
corey321: Woops, my bad, we're talking about Thief Gold and fog. Smack my head. That didn't get through to me. Thief Gold never had fog, but now it does with patching.
I see your point, although it's kind of hard to understand exactly what is going on without seeing a screenshot or video of what you're talking about.
Any news about the update, Gecko?
No real news - but i've made a list with all Thief Gold HD mod Youtube videos here. Also TG Fan Missions (modded). Maybe interesting for some.

Can someone change the title of this thread to "Thief Gold HD Texture Mod"? Because i can't do that. Thanks!
Those objects floating in many places in most of the missions... when a new version, at least of the original maps?
