    When trying to install the HD mod, it seems to ignore part of the Tfix addon meaning i can't take screenshots through steam, however when Tfix is just installed I can take screenshots. Is this a known issue or have I done something wrong?

    Also I can't seem to figure out how to enable the fog effects with the HD mod, I have fogging enabled in-game and can't see any options for fog in the new dark graphics settings.

    How To Enable Screenshots in Steam:

    Go into your game installation folder and open up the file "cam_ext.cfg" with notepad and search for ;d3d_disp_no_rgb10_buf
    Remove the semicolon ; at the front, save and exit. Steam screenshots should work now!

    Thank you, that fixed it. Is there a setting I'm supposed to enable in the New Dark graphics settings to enable fogging by the way? For some reason I can't get the fog effects to work even though i have them enabled in-game..

    Is there a way to temporarily / quickly disable this HD mod? I'm playing skacky's "Endless Rain" mission and even though it looks good, they still say that I should play without any mods. Let me know if there is a quick solution. Or if only a complete uninstall will do the trick..

    Okay I did and I do see some changes.. but many of the textures (walls, doors..) are the blurred old ones. I do have the latest TFix (with ep, too?) underneath everything, but I'm not sure if Endless Rain was meant to look like that. It shouldn't be too high-res, right?

    Any way to manually disable the new zombie model from T2X, or at least to disable the puke attack? I tried deleting the different zombie-named files from the HDMOD folder but to no effect.

    i think the frame should be updated,but the painting left alone=my =too cents

    also the painting name is "intruder"=in game files

    check the moddb downloads, I think a patch was available. if not, you are out of luck.

    I have a weird "problem". When i use this mod i cannot pick up gold candles. I'm using AngelLoader, and if i disable this mod, i can pick them up. Is there anything to do to fix this?

    oh, you mean you are running fan missions with hdmod enabled in the background? iirc, hdmod had a special fan mission mode to prevent such issues.

    my guess is the interactive candle setup is being applied on a fan mission that is not interactive candle ready.

    You could use HQ paintings from ESRGAN mod just for selected pictures

    (Looked through this thread, didn't find anything )

    The Bonehoard seems to have worse shadows compared to original - am I imagining this?
    In the burrick caves there's this little cave whith a rope arrow. You used to be able to sneak past with only maybe a first alarm, now the burrick goes into attack mode instantly.


    Secondly, there use to be signs (x and arrows) on the walls, I guess the new textures don't include them?

    Or at least not all. Here an arrow is missing, but I found some Xs in the grey tunnels ...

    I can't seem to disable the blood spatter overlay effect, despite disabling it via the "NewDark Graphics Settings" app. It's where the blood fills your screen as you're being attacked. In the NewDark settings, I put "Blood FX" to off but it doesn't fix it.

    At no time upon or after installation did I (purposely) enable the blood spatter FX; so I'm guess it's 'on' by default for some reason... but it would be nice to disable it.

    Try to run 'NewDark Graphics Settings' as Administrator. It is possible that it is activated by the current TFix version. I have not checked this.

    Gecko, amazing work with this mod. Revisiting Thief Gold with it after years. But I'm having the same blood effect issue and it's really tacky immersion killing. Do you have any insight into how I can disable this?

    Why would any classic Thief project include a blood spatter effect like that? Doesn't really fit the essence of the game. Gives the impression of a lens or computer screen being splattered.

    After testing Thief 1 and 2 with EP2, Necro Age and the HD Mod, I finally settled with Necro Age as my texture pack of choice since its the perfect middle ground between the other two mods, but I still adore the new FX's the HD Mod added for the element arrows and especially the torches and fireplaces. Is it possible to add only these new FX's to my current mod list? How complicated would that be? Or is just a matter of installing the HD Mod, ripping the files for these FX's and putting only them in my MODS folder?
