Good god man, I didn't even think to look for more FMs from Sen, and campaigns to boot? /faints

In the mechanist area there's a hatch above the water wheel
    Can it be opened?

Thanks Sensut, I am enjoying this FM very much.

It's nice to be back to being Garrett the thief again after being a guard for a little while in Zontik's 'Upside Down', which I have yet to finish (one tricky thief to go, I think) because I have not been playing lately, due to other things in life.

Sometimes I will jump to another mission or new mission when I get stuck on something and then go back later. The change of different scenery is good once in awhile.

The windy streets signs are really nice.

I really like missions that have a mix of rooftoping, city street activities without ground penalties, and sewer routes.

This mission and the engine seems to be gliding.

I'm really enjoying it, but I think I should probably restart on a harder difficulty.

this mission seemed so good, but i had some problem with saved games, seems after 30 min of playing it dont got enough memory to save the game,i had this happen on other missions in the past, but not sure what i can do,i figure i did at least 75% of mission,if there is a fix for that problem, please let me know how to fix it as i would like to finish this mission

downwinder - this can often be solved by deleting some .zips from your "all saves" folder (but not for your current game!). If that doesn't do it, you'll need some help from someone more tech than me.

Ravenhook - thanks, I had spotted that, but I have this anal thing against leaving rope-arrows behind Still, if there's loot there......

Euphrosyne - you haven't played "The Carpathian Tales" campaigns by Sensut? You definitely must play Dracula Reloaded & The Bathory Campaign - both as good as it gets

oh wow, Sensut... this is a great city map!
I'm about an hour and a half in, and I keep finding new places and getting new objectives! I haven't even investigated the Mechanist area yet!

Can't. There is a lever what opens the grid below, in the water.

Nope, I just started on the Dracula Reloaded campaign since I have a lot of sleepless nights, and I'm loving every minute of it. Again, there are just so many small details! Sensut, you put frobable carrots in a little garden in the first part for crying out loud! It's the little things that make a FM mission go from great to amazing.

Also, Mr. I must have all my rope arrows back or the world will end, I am the same way. In fact, you CAN get the rope arrow back after looting. Wait for the street guard to leave, and the archer to turn his back. Then, get max frob distance from the arrow, and jump forward and pick it back up. It may take a try or two, but you should land on the lip of the edge of the gated balcony only incurring a "I'm not sure if someones there" from the archer. Then just crouch and carefully drop down to the street below, you won't even take a damage point.

I might be even more OCD about my missions, if I take even a single point of damage I consider it a failure and reload. The second mission of the Dracula campaign where you fall into the hole when you start the mission took a few reloads to by some miracle crouch as I landed to avoid taking a damage point.

Right. Completed all the objectives apart from the secrets and loot on the highest difficulty. Still about 3000 short.

How do I get into the jewelry store? I have a hunch it just might be the solution to my loot-based predicament.

Pemptus - between the Bakery & the opposite building is a pipe which will get you upstairs in the bakery - then just head north.

I was about 3000 short at one stage - getting the Police Chief's key-card helped a lot!

Thanks for the tips, got it.

Finished with 10/14 secrets and about 1000 loot, but I didn't feel like going brick hunting. Opened up all the bank vaults though.

Lovely, classic mission. As much as I enjoyed your quasi-historical escapades, this is where you shine the brightest. Moar plz!

I have the sudden urge to replay all of your fms. I love city missions, especially ones that have rooftop climbing! So, when's your next FM? Ha ha. (: I wanted to run this mission without blackjacking anyone, but that didn't last long.

But I did have some problems with finding all the secrets. I'm missing one. I found all ten contest secrets with help from the map provided in one of the safes, and I also have the Library banner secret, Library golden skull secret, and banner right before the police beam. After reading the thread, the other is suppose to be in the library? So can someone tell me how to find the last secret?

kittykat, I think Syltae already found that one. someone mentioned a secret safe near the Golden Child but I can't find it.
    other things I cant find:
keys to the bank manager's basement. duh, just needed to find another way in. now for the combo?
the key card someone said was in the other room at the inn. I believe it belongs to Colenor the toy maker?

MrMunkeePants - to open the secret safe you should consult Karrass.

The bank vault combo is on a balled-up piece of paper. Sorry, just can't think where I found it
Edit: oops, scratch that last bit - in Teler's house, there's a note about "don't forget the bed" - the bed has something to tell you....

    Edit #2 - Aaaanndd, Toymaker's keycard: wardrobe.

Major Spoilers here about Non-Brick Secrets and Keycard locations. Read at your own risk. It's always more fun to stumble across these on your own!

    Secrets (In no particular order):

    1. Keeper's Library - Behind the banner (in the room with the rats).
    2. Keeper's Librarty - In the closely packed bookshelves. Frob a book to the right of the window where you can see a golden skull.
    3. On the way to the Police Station Jail - In the room with the slidy table before crossing the beams slash the banner.
    4. Mechanist Compound - In the rom with the golden child, frob a tiny switch on teh painting above the desk. The safe is to the right of the fireplace.

Keycards (In the order listed in the book in the bank basement):

    1. Mr. Jalam's (Jeweller) Safe Keycard - Known as Jeweller's Safe Keycard. Found in the back of the jewellery shop on the wooden work bench.

    2. Mr. Banler's Safe Keycard - Known as the Casino Chief's Safe Keycard. From the Casino door step into the street, turn right, and look up. You should see a small wooden balcony. Rope arrow up and take the keycard through the window.

    3. Mrs. Dibel's Safe Keycard - Known as the Hanged Man's Safe Keycard. As the name suggests, it can be found under the hanged man in the sewers.

    4. Lady Dove's Safe Keycard - On the Desk in her bedroom, the same room where you find the note by the chest.

    5. Mr. Celenor's Safe Keycard - Known as the Toy Merchant's Safe Keycard. Found in the room across the hall from the bedroom you start in atop the tall cabinet.

    6. Lord Periss' Safe Keycard - Known as A Stolen Safe Keycard. Found inside the police offce on the desk past the jail cells.

    7. Mr. Tonis' (Janitor) Safe Keycard - Known as the Janitor's Safe Keycard. Found in the janitor's basement on the bookshelf to the right of the gas lamp.

    8. Mr. Penal's (Museum) Safe Keycard - Known as Museum Curator's Safe Keycard. On the desk in Mr. Penal's office. See below if you can not find this area.

Instructions for entering the Jeweller's Shop: From outside the door of the jeweller's shop turn right and look at the shed carefully, there are wooden beams near the roof of the shed. Use a rope arrow to climb on top. Turn left, pick the wooden window and crawl through across the pipe. The hatch leads to the bakery, the left to the Jeweller's. If you are stuck and can not open the back door in the Jeweller's, put your back to the back door and look up. You should see an open window in the upper right. Use a rope arrow to grab the key through the window.

Instructions to enter the Museum Curator's (Mr. Penal's) office (Easiest): From the museum entrance, turn right, and head down the alley. At the corner where it goes to the left, turn towards the left path and look up. There should be a wooden balcony and railing. Rope arrow up and over and enter the door.

Instructions to enter the Janitor's house: The Janitor's house can be found west of the bar with all of the happy drunks. From the bar, turn west. Head west and before entering the archway look up and and to your left. You should see an open window on the house. Use a rope arrow, not on the house with the window, but on the wood above the archway (the wood is higher than the window is). Loot the key through the window.

Instructions to enter the Police Station Jail: From the bar (with the happy drunks outside) turn west. Head west and before entering the archway look up. Use a rope arrow on the wood above the archway and mantle up and over. Turn left, enter the doorway. Frob the table so it moves to the left window, and crawl out across the beam to the grate on the other side. Open the grate to enter the jail.

Syltae - sounds like you're missing the safe in the room with the golden child (Mech area).
See my post 2 above this one.

Edit: that's 3 above this one, or read Euphrosyne's post.

Just a little tip: use your map Notes tool. If you found something or still you need something, write in the Notes. Also I made the contest map as a regular map (after you found it), just to make the things easier. When you found a secret, put a X (or something) to the respective secret sign on the contest map.

I did this to mark contest bricks before I got that map, and balconies before I got rope arrows (I should have gone to the Hammers much earlier!)

thanks for the help, Sticky Fingers & Sensut I don't know how I missed all those things, especially when I was looking for them in the correct places
