Wow, what a cool mission! So much to explore, so much guards and cops to blackjack...

Thank you very much, Sensut, for this great mission!

Late to the party but just wanted to say I'm really enjoying this so far. So many things to do and find! I just got to the mech area yesterday and I still seem to have many secrets and things left to discover. So thanks very much for a fun and awesome city mission.

I'm completely stuck on this objective: "Find out how this machine works." I've been all throughout the Mechanist area (except for one small locked steel door that I can't get into) and this objective won't tick off. I'm pretty sure it means the giant spider tank in Hangar 18, but I've combed that area up and down and the objective still won't tick off. What am I missing?

Have a go with all the buttons and levers around it...

Well, I just finished it, it was fantastic. It reminds me some goold old T2 fms like I dunno, durant, benny's dead, TTGM series, Uncadonego's work... Brought back some memories about the first fms.
A simple, classic mission, yet really entertaining and pretty well made. Lots of things to find in the streets, I really enjoyed it.

I had some trouble trying to open the library secret, I just couldn't see this book no matter how hard I looked. Same with the good fuse. I had to look for hints in this thread. But I found all the loot and secrets

Truly excellent mission! Fun and interesting through and through. Good main goal and multilevel city with sidequests. And how about all those wonderful ledges and secret routes to be found. Custom content was well made and nice looking. Best way to describe IMHO, is this mission was rich and full of deluxe thief gameplay, atmosphere and story. Certainly looking forward to any sequels. I wasn't able to find all the loot, secrets and good stuff, but still I had a blast! Better luck next time when I play this great mission again. Thanks a bunch!

An old-school, "Thief doing what Thief is best at" style of mission. And so far, the FM of the year.

My first run left me missing 1 keycard (the toymaker, DOH!), 1 secret and about 600 short of loot. After consulting this thread, I'm now only 30 loot short - somewhere there's a really devious piece of loot laughing at me. Also, I never got the Warehouse door open, but I'd found another way in, so I didn't mind.

The only fault I find with this mission, and this is one is a bit strange, is that I'd rather not have had the map that outlined the Thief Contest locations. I'd found 3 of them before getting the map, and I was slightly disappointed by having their locations given to me. "Don't use it", someone might say, but the damage was done.

Easily one of the "must-play" missions for Thief 2.

Same here, I can't find that last 30.

Would anybody please give me a hint as to how to get into Stone Castle to complete the Lady Dove objective?

There is a window with a ledge opposite to the bank.

FOR LOOT: The loot places are too complicated to describe, but there is a included lootlist by prjames, check the mission .zip.

The lootlist doesn't seem to be in the folder in my copy, only the consumables list.

    Snip: List

There is no better than this yet.
I took your list and cut out all the loot values over 30 since apparently at least 3 of use are coming up 30 shy. This is what is left.

    15 - penhold - banker house
    20 - 2 plates - banker house
    25 - hand mirror - banker bathroom
15 - statue - mansard to the mech entrance
    30 - ring -//-
30 - gold vase - keeper library big room
15 - goblet - opposite mech main gate, balcony
    10 - hardware shop
    25 - gold plate - jew. court

I went through again on expert to confirm each of these items is there, and I *AM*blind, I think most of us missed 30 - gold vase - keeper library big room. It's up in the rafters in the "I am a wall builder" book room.

Edit: I should add I hope you don't mind my dissecting your mission Sensut, I played through it at least 4-5 times now to do it but I still enjoyed every minute! Really well made map.

Thanks, Sensut! I'd tried to shoot a rope arrow at that ledge before and failed, hearing the metal clang sound, so I assumed it was made of metal and un-ropeable.

Holy cow, that was it. Once I saw it I thought "How did I miss that?"

Thanks Euphrosyne! And thank you agan Sensut! This is easily in my favorite mission list!

Thanks for this mission, Sensut !
That was real fun once again !
I found all secrets on my own, but had to check this thread to find Mrs Dibels keycard and the last 200 loot.
I wonder: how could one (myself) miss 4 Fine wine in a casino/bar ???
With that I have 100% of the loot as well.

I think there is a mistake in the lootlist, though:
    1894 - money - safe 6 should read 1864 - money - safe 6

You need to return into the bankers house.
But instead of being a 'peeping Tom', be shy and look in some other direction, when you are in the bathroom.
Do you recall the ladder going up from the cellar ?

doug - Mech Area: from the upper part of the library jump to a flat, L-shaped roof (with gravel). From its n-e corner hop over to a section of pipe & open the little door. Inside, head north until you find what looks like a lift shaft going downwards, with another pipe section & small door part way down.

Don't know what lever you mean though.
