Finally, something new to play. Thanks, Haplo!
Here you go taffers, my 9th mission A Sorrowful Farewell is finally ready for general consumption.
This mission is based on an abandoned map by PinkDot.
===============================================
* Story *
This mission is the fourth installment in the campaign. The first three missions are:
1. Unholy Vivid Innocence
2. Insanity's Crescendo
3. Of The Sinister Awakening
If you haven't already finished them, I highly recommend you to do so before playing this mission.
During my visit to Lord Abbath's cottage I learned of a monastery built by the followers of The Warlock.The diary left behind by Lord Abbath's servant talked about a mysterious plague that had swept through the monastery and also of an imminent Mechanist attack. The monastery is located in the mountains and is quite far from the city. I will not be able to get there before the Mechanists do, nevertheless I have decided to pay it a visit and see if I could liberate it of the riches that the Mechanists haven't been able to get their hands on yet. Who knows, I might even find a use for the Artifact I stole from Lord Abbath.
Entering through the main gate will not be an option; but I have discovered another way in from the mountain side through a well.
===============================================
* Important Notes *
- Make sure to enable fog and weather effects, they make a huge difference.
- Read the texts carefully, they contain vital clues to the puzzles.
- If you are having trouble solving the combination puzzle, you can find its solution in the Hints directory installed with the mission.
===============================================
* Known/Possible Problems *
- The (0, 0, 0) point falls inside the playable area of the mission.
- The screen might become corrupted momentarily while passing/leaning through some of the door frames, but this is harmless and only lasts for a very short amount of time.
- There are some really high poly (1024+) areas, they might cause the "Hall of mirrors" effect but they won't crash the game.

Changes in version 1.01: Fixed a bug which caused the glyph combination puzzle to malfunction under certain circumstances.
To all the taffers who are playing version 1.00, do NOT destroy the rotten barrels in the attic or it will break the mission and you won't be able to finish it.
Just like my previous missions, I'd like to ask you not to give out outright spoilers when helping the others on the forum. Either point them to the clues they might have missed or elaborate more on the clues if they have trouble understanding them.
There are a few random elements incorporated in this mission which might make the game play experience different from one player to another, especially towards the end. It also adds to the re-playability value.
I hope you will enjoy playing this little mission. After finishing it please come back here and let me know what you thought.
By the way if you are wondering if its title is prophetic, my answer is "Could be. I don't know.". Now if you'll excuse me I have a backlog of missions to go through myself.

Gee, what's with the sudden surge in Mechanist missions?
Not that I'm complaining, of course, but I do wonder...
Help. I standed upon the red light but the picture don't rise.
need a speed potion?

Clearing - it worked for me. The picture is the small one at the other end of the attic. You have to be quick, as the clue says, or it drops again.
I have a problem of my own. I have all 3 serpents, I've followed the labyrinth using the guiding hand, and I've pressed the glyph. I get a cut-scene of a gate rising at the foot of some wooden stairs. But I don't know where that gate is, and what I'm supposed to do next.![]()
Congrats with the release, HaploI guessed the unknown author was 'Asylum'.
I remember some of PinkDot's work from when he abandoned it, and it looked spectacular. You've picked a great base to build a FM from![]()
Congrats on releasing another FM, Ali!![]()
Congratulations on the release, Ali! This is a top-notch mission and I had a great time testing it. I'm sure everyone will enjoy playing it.![]()
Is there a silent way to cut the wire?
A flare works.
I can't open the chest near the table where you get new objective.
