That looks kind of like fabric instead of tile.
Cool deal. Thanks for the info. Now lets see if I can do anything with them.
edit: wow, that was easy. I redid the first texture in the KEEPER family. Prepare to be...amazed

That looks kind of like fabric instead of tile.
I was briefly messing with a PHP page to show all the textures on one page, but now I'm thinking that might not be the best idea:
1353 terrain textures, not including full (palette) files.
~30MB.
That many images on one page just isn't practical, let alone on my slow personal server.
How does it look tiled? The original looks like the individual pieces are packed tightly together, so you can just barely see the seam. It's more suggested than anything.
Actually, what T2 level has that texture in place?
edit:
Both of them tiled 4x4 against the original. It's a matter of taste. Mine's closer, yours looks more like nice, polished stoned. I'd say it mostly depends on how it's used ingame.

It looks grouted. At 32x32 the original couldn't preserve grouting. If you use 1 pixel for grout it would look wrong and too wide. But with 128x128 there is room for a reasonable grouting. And I think that would have been the original intent. I can try and minimize the grout a bit more, but I think it should be visible with a high res texture.
I'd like to see Renzatic's texture (and superior color matching) combined with Larry's grout work (which does indeed disappear when scaled down to the size of the original texture).
Groutless tile installations are apparently mostly done with smaller, decorative tiles, on vertical surfaces. So it would be helpful to see where this texture is used.

I'm on it, but I'm gonna have to wait til later tonight before I can finish it, since I gotta head out in a few. I'll have to play around with some masks to round out the edges, tweak the shadows, and do other miscellaneous things to make it look really good.
Currently it looks like this:
If I can pull it off, it'll be a nice compromise between the two.
edit: Changed it for the better. Gotta get rid of that tiling seam, and it might be decent. Maybe make it look like the stones are flush with the grouting.

Hell, that's just about perfect. Add some fine noise detail, and it'll be great.
The color is now corrected...yet, after looking at the original, I noticed the gleam on the lower left corner of the blue tile. This would indicate that it is indeed meant to be a polished tile, rather than the rough, unpolished, porous stone.
Yeah, I'd say it's a highlight painted in to give it a bit more depth. Everything in the KEEPER set looks sorta worn and lived in.

I just did a whole bunch of work just to get back to a slightly rounder version of what I had before.
The groutings there, but it's more suggested than Larry's example. What do you all think? To me, it looks more like something you'd see out in a courtyard than it does a tiled interior floor.
...we need to see how it's used ingame.
I think I like the darker grouting that Renzatic has. I may try that on my version. I don't want to dirty it up as much though. I want to keep it more true to the original.
I like the darker grouting, as well...I also like the slight color variances...very attractive. Other than that, I still say it should have a more polished look to it.
...and more polished rounded stone version. This is the last update for a bit. I should've been gone an hour ago. : \
