Wootz! The FMs are finally out. I think tonight will be an endless one with all the new FMs. Gunna sit back, relax, and blackjack some taffers![]()
This is a thread for a mission released for the NewDark 64 Cubed contest.
This title of the mission is: Till Death Do Us Part.
The author wishes to remain anonymous (for now). Unfortunately, their name does show up in the mission briefing movie, and in the title screen. Can't stop you from looking, but you feel like averting your eyes, feel free.
Enjoy, and feel free to comment, discuss, or seek answers/help in this thread.
Update: The author has provided a new, untimed version for anyone who is frustrated by the time limit. The original timed version is still available as well:
Till Death Do Us Part - Timed Challenge
Till Death Do Us Part - without Timed Challenge

Looking forward to this and expecting it to be a darn sight more fun than the UK TV programme of the same name.![]()
Very nice, fun mission and a good challenge! Should be some low times as players find the best routes for the different difficulties!
This was a second run through after a couple of hours of gameplay - but plan to play on other difficulties as well.

I'm mildly shocked that you only got 13 out of 24 pockets picked. Something to beat!!
Note to self to get on with testing stuff so I can get on with playing.
More the 14000 loot in 12 minutes
Does the house owner keep his wealth under his matress ?
Stupid taffer!![]()
- there's definitely time to be more stealthy for the pick pockets if you prefer and / or don't want to rush, once you know the layout. My time was no Iron Man run and so had many saves and previous knowledge of where things were
. I kept running out of time on the first run through trying to reach the loot target - and trying to avoid dying!

OK, played on easy and it was not that easy. 37:18 and 6 out of 13 picked pockets (the rest were taken ofter a bjack.) 11289 taken. 4 out of 5 secrets found.

Cool mission.
Post your screens of Stats!
Here is how to make a stats screenshot:
1.When you want to set the size of the screenshot go to options, video, and adjust it to 800x600
2.When at your stats screen at the end of the game, just press Ctrl+Print Screen on your key board.
3.look in your T2 directory in your screenshot folder for dump000, or anywhere in your directory if not there.
4.Sign up for a free Photobucket account, and upload your screen. Use the direct link by clicking on it to copy to your clip board. Open up your TTLG post and click on the "Insert Image" symbol at the top of your post, then right click your mouse cursor and paste.

Aww I'm not gonna win the contest now I mean really nice mission you've made MysteryMan but it just uses all nice stuff that I wouldn't be able to get![]()
Don't you worry Sneaky Guy, I'm sure your entry will be good too.
As for this mission, I really enjoyed it even if timed objectives aren't my cup of tea. It was a fun heist with tons of loot to find (so many pickpockets!) and some really tight patrols sometimes.
I suppose I shouldn't have chosen Expert for my first playthrough. I can't find enough loot to win.
I've found 4 of 5 Secrets (the bathroom dice, the dagger, the compartment with chests, and Evy's resting place). I have 13829 out of 14239 and I need 14000, which I assume will be in the 5th secret since I've picked everyone's pocket (23/24 but I believe I missed picking one before the application of my blackjack).
I've spent over 15 minutes searching for something to tip me over the limit, but I'm getting nowhere. Could I get a nudge towards the secret I'm missing?
AHHHH, a secret within a secret! You tricksy, tricksy man!
I'm normally not a fan of timers on missions, but it really works great for this one.
I do wish I could've brought Dew Drop to Carolyn, though. But I'm just a sucker for making my own bonus objectives.![]()
I know I missed a few things, from clues in-game and comments here - a door on the roof? hidden people?
so much packed into such a tight space, congratulations anonymous author!

Just finished my first play through. I normally hate timed missions but I didn't mind this one. It was a fun exercise. If I have any criticism it is that the number of guards was a bit unrealistic for a museum of that size. But it did make for a fun challenge. I enjoyed the mission and thought it was well done. Congrats, Mystery Man!
My stats:
![]()
Normal difficulty reduces the number of guards by 10, but there is less loot to guard. The Baron is a stickler for security. Normal difficulty the second time around can be completed in 8 minutes because of only having 14 guards in the mission.
The Technical aspect was to make the best use of space, and with any less than 24 guards total,it felt too empty. But, yes you hit the nail on the head. The heavily guarded Museum was needed for a Life/Death challenge. Being in a timed mode presents a Challenge, but only with a lot of resistance. Glad you enjoyed it Tannar. In a real life timed event, the pressure of overcoming the challenge to save a life,or two would be difficult to bear, besides you cannot reload, and try again. One chance, and one chance only. If you don't succeed the first time, your friends die. This is the concept in which I designed this mission. How much pressure can you bear?
Very good time Sagittal.
Thanks MrMunkeepants and Empyrium.
Here is my time for now.
12 minutes flat-Master Difficulty-All of the Loot, and all pick pockets-All 5 secrets-18 knockout's,no alerts, no bodies found.
Here is my Faster Difficulty Time for now. The last two pickpockets apparently don't exist. This will be fixed at post contest time.
Here is my Slower Difficulty time for now. Pick pocket count is off in the game on slower. If anyone discovers different, please post, and I will repair at post contest time.
If anyone shows any interest on a bonus time on Master difficulty, before the end of this contest,I may add a bonus in game,to complete the time in 15 minutes, maybe one for 10 minutes. This would be implemented for the final public release. We will see how it goes here for now.

This was great, Mystery Man (if that is your REAL name...). I was a bit worried when I saw the mention of a time limit in the readme, being as that's about my least favorite gameplay device, but it actually added to it quite a bit. I ended up having barely anytime to escape, and used a slowfall potion to jump off the building onto the exit- which made me feel all sorts of badass.
Here are my extremely unimpressive end stats! (I cheated and looked up one of the secrets on this thread)

Great, The Mike, and thanks for posting your stats screen. You did a good time, and found most of everything.
Next time you play, if you decide you want to:
I just sent a Regular version without the Timed Objectives to Brethren. I felt everyone was being scared off by the challenge. There will be the Regular version and the Challenge version, so everyone will have an option.
Thanks again Brethren for hosting this contest!
Here is the Regular fm with No time limit.
