Fair enough, I was just chiming in. It provides with a bit of insight about how the demo went. Keep up the good work!
I'm keeping the list to articles, youtube vids, interviews, that type of thing, more "official" stuff. Once you start linking to forum discussions, things can get messy.

Here's Sneaky Bastards' hands-on report. It's (Thief) not good. http://sneakybastards.net/theobserver/thief-hands-on/
Leadership changes hit all Squeenix subsidies, including EM.
Eidos-Montreal has also named David Anfossi as its new studio head. Anfossi served as executive producer on cyberpunk action game Deus Ex: Human Revolution. He will oversee development on the Thief reboot, announced earlier this year, as well as two in-development unannounced projects.
Wow, this sounds major. So it appears this guy is replacing Stephane D'Astous? Seems like whenever this type of thing is done (especially in light of some of SE's financial problems), it usually means the new guy is there to whip everyone into shape and get the product out the door. Could have huge repercussions on how the final Thief game pans out.
Oh boy.

Interviewer: "Why did you eventually decide [against Russell as Garrett]?"
Guy from Eidos: "Imagine having Adam West fight Kane in the most recent Batman film..."
The discussion on this article has been moved to the Stephen Russell thread.
Well, one thing you can say about EM, they do a LOT of interviews - especially Stephane Roy. I haven't had a chance to listen to them all, but I found a bunch of new stuff on youtube, mostly interviews with a myriad of gaming sites I've never heard of. Still, somewhere in there, there's probably some new nuggets of info just waiting to be found.
In short - there's some new stuff up - just look for the "NEW" designation in front of the article.
Aaaaannnnnndddd .......... (drum roll here) .......
T4 didn't make the list.
http://www.gameinformer.com/b/featur...13-awards.aspx
Gee, go figure.
Wait .... here's another Game Informer list; this time it's 'Game Informer's Best Of E3 2013 Nominees (Post-Show Added)'
And .......
Nope. T4 didn't make that list either.
I see IGN gave it an honorable mention in the 'Best Overall', 'Best Xbox', & 'Best PS4', & 'Best PC' games. But honorable mention only (along with LOTS of other honorably mentioned games). Oh wait!! T4 also got honorable mention in another category (are you ready for this?): 'Best Action Game'.

Sorry; T4 didn't even merit an honorable mention in Gamespot's list of the Best of E3.

I checked out a couple more sites and discovered T4 wasn't listed as anyone's top fave from E3 from those two either. Keep in mind that I don't frequent a lot of these sites, but I found it curious that the more well known sites weren't awarding T4 anything but honorable mention, if that.

'Best Action Game'.
That is not encouraging, imo.

I like just about everything they said in this article. The idea of "noise patches" is very interesting.
You could technically do the same thing with good old different floor textures, but I suppose you get constrained by what looks realistic. This expands the boundaries of what sort of noise patterns look reasonable, which sounds pretty nice.
I do wonder what other things you can use as noise patches, though. Hopefully broken bottles littered all over the place like wall spikes in Dark Messiah.
Watching the AMD dev conference, Eidos was there talking about how Thi4f will be leveraging the crazy new audio processing that AMD is deploying on their new GPU line.
It got no applause when they showed the shitty story trailer. AMD presenter mentioned he was an audio programmer at LGS on TDP and built the 3D positional Audio components, wonder how sick he felt having to say nice things about Thi4f.

Also, the community manager left Eidos Montreal. Too much negativity? How will Garrett progress through the game without XP?
Nic: The goal is to use gold to buy elements to progress, to encourage the player to steal. The player will be able to choose how to spend money, for more stealthy or more aggressive tools.
Daniel: It was always possible to play without using XP, like it is still possible to play through the game without killing anyone or even spending any coin (though it isn't going to be easy!)
Thanks guys, this was very instructive. And wait until you hear what they have to say about QTEs...
