Ricebug & Xorak.
Thanks for this nice mission.
Good Work!
Good fun this one. Almost done, but can't find the necklace. I've scoured the chapel pews but nothing. Not sure what the ref in maga's post means about ko-ing a woman with a key. I take it the exit is the metal door underneath the manor?
Edit: Found it! It's nowhere near the chapel pews, on expert anyway. Check statues near an archway

Shadowcrawler or Marbrien, this might seem an unrelated question, but when you turn the switch that turns off the toxic water (so that you can retrieve the machine piece in the water below), did that water eventually become poisonous again?
Finished in a couple of evenings on expert. I was 5 short on loot and did not findthe secret even though I found the secret water are behind the gate
I did not have any of the trouble others are having. My install is semi fresh and not a lot of patches have been applied, just taffer patcher.
No kills, except for bots. Never used a moss arrow. Only used the little fire arrow on the switch in the entry of the bot rooms that opens the gate No healing taken or damage (reloaded if I goofed...) Everyone knocked out, except for the pagans.
I did have one issue though with the lifts. On some of them I would get damage if standing in the middle and not crouching. I would "hit" something above and get damage, even though nothing was there to hit. The main one of these was the water tank lift.
Overall fun. It was a little shorter than I expected, but no biggie there Thanks again for making this.
I do not remember seeing the water become toxic. In fact when I went into the water to get the antenna shaped piece, the lights below the hazard symbol were on. Pretty certain that I went in when it should have been bad, but never had health point loss, anytime in any body of water.
If water anywhere is toxic, does it change color or do you definitely lose health points and Garret makes his "ouch" or "that burns" sound?
"To live in the light is to see everything, to live in the dark is to see everthing you missed in the light."
The water starts toxic, and you pull a switch to make it safe. And normally that switch only lasts for 40 seconds before reverting back to unsafe. Garrett will definitely die if you jump down there when the water is toxic. Also the fog cloud disappears while the water is safe. . He does make the same sound as when touching a hot object. If the purple lights under the hazard symbol were lit, that means it was safe.
One last question, do you have the Premier version of Thief 2? I think that might be the problem, as it doesn't work with some of the timing scripts for some reason. If the water doesn't turn poisonous again after 40 seconds, that's the same issue as the bot not appearing after 6 seconds.
I think I fixed the glitch.

Tarnhill V.1.5
Fixes:
- Some grenades got wet and wouldn't go off. Replaced with some dry ones.
- Made the east gates fire-proof.
- Updated the gen.osm to gen2.osm so that the TrapTimedRelay scripts work correctly.
- Polished up one texture that looked a bit funky.
As far as the two levers that the black monk runs back and forth between, the player can still frob them. Doing so, spawns more bots, so be warned.
Just finished this. Well done mission. Thanks Ricebug and Xorak (and everyone who contributed in any way). I had to refer to the forum for one thing but otherwise it was pretty straightforward. I had some of the problems that others had (teleporter not turning off, frag grenades not working, etc.) but there was nothing that prevented me from completing the mission as intended. I found a few jorge textures and some oddities with the undead but nothing that was a show stopper or even very noticeable. It was fun to revisit the Strife world and the mission had a nice, familiar feel to it. It looks great, the puzzles are good but not difficult, and the gameplay is enjoyable. Thanks for a couple of hours of great fun.
That's whay I figure I should never try to tackle one of these. A year is pretty quick for an involved game like this. it is a wonder that we get 2 or more new games a month still! Must be a lot of coders/developers out there Droming away every night. Thanks to all of you for that.
Oh and for the analogy, good one! Another comes to mind... Home brew, takes 3 weeks, but is gone in a weekend, or a night if friends are around. Then again, you can play a fan mission again. I would not want to re-eat a dinner or re-drink beer (chuckle)...
Oh yeah, one last thing... I licked the shimmer in the last pool near the bots. Nice effect.
Yeah, those light reflections were amazing.
Can someone here really right out spoil me with the place where I can find the bent key.
It's the only thing I am missing. Everybody apparently found it
Hi Gloria... OUTRIGHT SPOILER for the bent key!!!!
Do you know where that water room was? You have to take an elevator down to get into the water. It is just a big hexagonal elongated tank type room with about 1/3 a meter of water in it. All bumpy metal. Nothing to find, except if you hit the up buttom on the elevator and do not get on the lift, stand back in the water, look under where the platform was. The bent key is at the back of the area. There is a scroll that talks about how a guy dropped the key and bent it in the water tank area.
Hope that helps!

You are very welcome. Graag gedaan ( That phrase looked up on Google knowing you are Dutch, and I don't know many Dutch words... only a little German and French + of course English...) Glad you got through the game. It was fun, no? Nice to have these people to give us some time out of the day to play in a world not our own.
What you are looking for is in the alcove farthest from the ladder and it is on a ledge above the waterline.
Hi everyone!
It may seem like a silly question, but I'm unable to locate the exit out of this mission (entrance to the mansion if you prefer it that way). I was running in circles for half an hour, and still was able to find it. Somebody mentioned it is behind the mansion and I have to carefully look on the ground. I was running back and forth throughout the level and hadn't find anything what could be considered as an exit. All other objectives are completed, so it would be more than helpful if somebody tells me where to look after the exit. And please be specific, after hours of playing this level and completing all objectives, I want to end it quickly.
Thanks in advance
Are you sure you have found the mansion? Have you been through and area with a lot of combat bots everywhere? In that area, upstairs, there are three very large doors that highlight and raise up when frobbed. They look like part of the wall until you get close enough to see them highlight. Past those doors is the mansion. Once there, go up the steps and around to the back. In the center of the building in the back, on the ground, there is a trapdoor.
If you have not found the area with the combat bots yet, then you need to go into the area past the metal gate that is opened by the lever which you needed the silver gear to use.
