T2 FM: Return to Tarnhill (1 Aug 2013) Upgraded to V1.5

    DOWNLOAD

A collaborative effort assembled under New Dark 1.21 by Xorak and myself. .

French, German and Russian translations are included.

The sudden surge by taffers downloading this FM will probably sever my relationship with iPage once and for all. Expect to see mirrors shortly.

Thanks to the beta-testers for their efforts, as always.

This mission was never intended for release. It was originally a training exercise in learning some of New Dark's features. If not for Xorak, it would not have seen the light of day.

BUGS: PLAYERS MUST UPDATE THEIR THIEF FILES TO NEWDARK 1.21. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN GAMEPLAY PROBLEMS.

IF YOU BLOW THE EAST GATE OPEN WITH A GRENADE AND ENTER THAT AREA, YOU WILL GET STUCK AND HAVE TO REVERT TO AN EARLIER SAVE. THIS WILL BE FIXED IN AN UPDATE SOON COMING TO YOUR TOWN
    .

Thought you had left Ipage? In any case, here's a mirror to help lighten the load a bit:

The site is in transition. I signed up with another host and opted to transfer my domain.

    Thanks for the mirror, bro.

You all will like this mission... Very nice. Both Ricebug and Xorax spent lots of time on this one.... It's nice.... I love those frag bombs.

Very nice mission with well done puzzles!
I have arrived at Meech's mansion with a door for which I do not have a key and 2 timed switches for which I fail to see the purpose.
Edit: Oh, the locked door is a fake! I blew it up with a frag-grenade.

Ok, completed my other objectives first ... and finished!
For some reason the mission crashes after the STATS screen.

    Thanks for this fine mission!

I should probably alert players here that there's a particular patrolling AI that may get stuck on that trap door behind the mansion. It doesn't happen all the time, and a couple of well-placed frag grenades should solve the problem.

Hmmm... I think there is only one place where two of them are located sort of close to each other.
Right in front of Meech's Mansion, where the black monk is running.
Would like to know what they do as well, since I never figured out.
Finished with 100% loot, 2 bonus and 1 secret nonetheless.
    So, what does it do?

Not sure if it's just me, but completed the game on Expert mode and the frag grenades did not go off.

gnartsch: The black monk runs back and forth, throwing these levers to spawn the bots that you see. This is Xorak's work, and he can better explain how they work.

dBrilliant: Noted. There will no doubt be other glitches as the community plays this thing. Expect a minor update in the future.

Fun mission so far. I have the boiler filled with gas and I'm trying to attach it to the time machine to blow it up but it won't accept it. I've already sent the spider bot through the time warp. How do I get the gas-filled boiler to attach to the base of the time machine? It keeps saying don't attach until I'm ready but I'M READY!?

HauntHunter, did you send an item back through the teleporter with the spider bot?

Ricebug wanted that part of the mission to be a possible shootout with the combat bots, so I came up with this thing where the monk would create bots as the player killed them, just adding to the confusion and madness if the player chose to go that route.
