That VGA has a GPU no more supported by AMD.
AMD only supports GCN-based (and more recent) GPUs in the Radeon Catalyst driver suite.

Csimbi, lowenz, thank you for that information. This tells me a bit about two of my graphics cards/chips.

OK, I seem to have v2.06 up & running good. Wish I could find a list of the resources, though. I thought they might be available in the source code, but couldn't find it I did put everything into pk4 files. I did this by:

1) Scanned each pk4 file for duplicates (including full path,) and then replaced those.
2) Scanned each of the FM files and did the same (except for the darkmod.txt & readme.txt files, that were obviously from an earlier version than what was in the pk4 file.)
3) Scanned v2.07 to see if any of the remaining files had duplicates in the next revision (telling me where to put them.)

That left 32 files uncounted for. Most of which had obvious places to go. The rest, I took my best guess. It loads fine, and I am able to install & enter all 3 of the starter missions. But would still like to know if there is a way to verify that I have it right. I'd also like to find out if there is a way to find out if any of the resources were removed from 2.06, as they are just taking up space right now.

The total stats of sizes at each stage:
0) Unpacked Files: 4,719 (1.78 GB) ; Total Size: 4.18 GB
2) Unpacked Files: 3.864 (1.50 GB) ; Total Size: 3.82 GB (Didn't measure before checking FMs)
3) Unpacked Files: 32 (15.0 MB) ; Total Size: 3.16 GB
4) Unpacked Files: 0 (0 B) ; Total Size: 3.15 GB

Still rather sizable, and I don't know how it compares to the original v2.06 install. But it seems to work, without the issues 2.07 & 2.08 gave me Found their forum, and it seems I'm not the only one with the black screen issue. They are working on it now Hopefully, they can get it fixed.

:EDIT: I forgot to mention that I also had deleted the saintlucia directory (with the saintlucia.pk4 file,) as well. It was also the earlier version of stlucia like the 2 text files. I mentioned the text files without even realizing that I was neglecting to mention the actual mission file Sorry

Stgatilov has quite recently created a new TDM installation program that lets you select older TDM versions like 2.06, the latest dev builds or alternate branches like cabalistic's 2.08 VR branch. This will become the standard installation method from 2.09 onwards. I believe it should be able to verify & if necessary fix your current quasi-2.06 installation:

That could be quite handy

I'm rather happy with my reconstruction, though. It seems to be working just fine, and the size is about right. I've created an archive of it, so I'll see what this does to it
