You're saying that you've read the "Magic and Spells" section in the manual, but you're still confused about how it works?
I love in-depth games that do not hold the player's hand, but this is a little too far. It hardly explains itself at all.
Namely, the issue I have is with the missile projectile spell. After I use it once, where does it go? The icon for it disappears. I try the quick-spell keys, with and without holding the spell key, no luck either way. This should be simple, but it does not explain itself at all. Was it a one-time use spell?
I'm about ready to give up on this game. I want games to explain the mechanics thoroughly, just not the whole time during gameplay, but rather, before I need to use them. What I don't like is not explaining what I need to know.
Seriously, what do I do with this projectile spell? It never states whether I use it just once, or if it's something I keep. If I keep it, where the hell did it go? It says nothing.

I don't have the manual, I got it on Steam (don't judge me). I'll look around to see if I can find the manual online.
Right click on the game in your steam library and select "View player manual" from the pop-up menu. My copy links to this if you have any problems.
IKR??! I am struggling hard to figure out this game, lol. I play Morrowind and Oblivion regularly but this game is a bit difficult. However, I like it, but I would like to get further than the first freaking level (I keep dying). The missile projectile spell you picked up is one time only. Any paper spells only last for the amount of them you have. If I remember correctly, you have to make the spell active to use it, but I could be wrong. Where is this manual you speak of? I don't have a hard copy - I buy my games digitally. Maybe there is a manual stashed somewhere...
Have you tried the link in my post?
ahh, I did now. I misunderstood and thought it was only for the Steam one or something. I don't know, don't ask. But, yes, I went to your link and thank you very much!
Where did you buy it from? If they're not supplying manuals with the games, you should be complaining.
Well, probably from GOG games, which means they probably have a manual. Sigh, yes, it was dumb of me not to check. It happens sometimes. Well, thanks for the manual anyway! I did find a walkthrough which is fairly helpful but I'm still dying frequently on the first level. It gets so frustrating that I just end up quitting the game. It's fun, too! I'm not the best at playing games, I'm more of the designing/artistic type of person. I suck at playing Thief, for example, and rarely can beat my own levels....hehe![]()
