    Siege Engine - Release

    Hey all

Since this is kinda getting old in my HDD, here is the Siege engine WIP: No source, but the DLL's look quite nice on IDA 6.4 + HexRays 1.5

    https://drive.google.com/folderview?...Hc&usp=sharing

to create a new project, for instance, you need to type in the command box "project_new"

Also a simple request: When is a snapshot of the newdark source becoming available to thew general public?

Care to elaborate about any of this for the layman?

    I'll try, briefly.

This was the updated Dark Engine that lgs was working on / creating when they folded, the update to the Dark Engine.

It's presented here, working, and mostly for true hard fans

How can one use it? And where did you get it?

Using it its more or less a weird crap - that was the alpha version (the only one lgs ever made of Siege). It's more a trial and crash thing. I only released it because there is no problem in releasing it now, and also it's just a bit more of memorabilia...

How I got it? I'm not completely sure, since i have it for 11-12 years now, and I can't remember 100% sure if it was one of the lgs workers I keep in contact with, or if a good friend I had on this board who got it to me first. Either wait I just released it before it's completely lost, and it's part of LG's legacy... so... enjoy

I love it when people release old relics like this, bits and pieces of history. Thank you!

Has anyone done any work with it (Besides Deep Cover) who can show and tell more about it?

    No source code, unfortunately.

I can send you a IDA decompile though, the code is quite clean

I wonder if anyone will try to piece those Deep Cover maps together in this now that it exists.

Does anyone know much about the Siege Engine apart from it being LGS' next gen engine and being used for deep cover? A feature list or anything?

This is news to me. I didn't even know their was information on a new engine, let alone actual code available from LGS post-Thief. When I saw this thread title, I hadn't a clue what it'd be about. I assume, without having downloaded this, that there's some kind of editor? I am curious for more details.

No source code, just the compiled engine. I only poked around for a moment or two but the editor doesn't seem to do much of anything...although I didn't give it much time. Too bad the source code isn't in there too.

If I had the source, it would have been too easy

And newdark would have been born along time ago...

Any chance your original 'source' might still have access to it, or know of someone else who might?
