Steam installation instructions. Right click on System Shock 2 in your Steam library and select "Launch with Fan Missions". When FMSel prompts you about creating the \FMs folder, click "yes". Place Infinite's folder in \FMs and play via FMSel.

GOG installation instructions. Run SS2Tool to update your game. It will add a shortcut to FMSel on the start menu: "SS2 Fan Mission Selector". When it prompts you about creating the \FMs folder, click "yes". Place Infinite's folder in \FMs and play via FMSel.

Alternatively, you can use Blue Mod Manager and place Infinite's folder in \DMM. If you are having issues running mods and your game is installed in Program Files, move it to a different folder like C:\SS2.

Is there any new map areas to visit as part of this mod? Or does it more add to the existing areas?

It's new content for old maps, but the short "Finale" map (spoilers) is the old tutorial level turned into a Cyberspace level where you fight. Also, the beginning of the game is a playable flashback of the last boss.

    Edit
I'm reuploading the big file, with a small fix to make the mod appear correctly under FMSel. It has been reported that without FMSel, the videos don't play (they do for me) and I'm still investigating on this.

The SSI patch has been updated to v1.2: you can find the link here, and in the first post:

And kudos to the testers from this board which investigated the "invincible enemy" bug!

I wrote down the script of System Shock Infinite, as a step toward organizing the entire voiceover work of Phantasmagore in a single video (coming soon). It would be good for future reference, and to enjoy the mod's take on the story.

    <a href="http://www.moddb.com/mods/system-shock-infinite/videos/system-shock-infinite-maries-story">New video: System Shock Infinite - Marie's Story</a>

The story of System Shock Infinite is that of Marie Delacroix, predecessor to the player as avatar of SHODAN and companion to Goggles in the modified storyline. In this movie, you can see it unfold as narrated by Phantasmagore in the game. New events are also featured, such as the Time Paradox and SHODAN's Primary Data Loop.

The patch has been updated, with a new video and an updated one. Also, the mutator is done:

System Shock Infinite: 6 Hours is a difficulty addon for System Shock Infinite.

    - The protoreality pocket is about to collapse! Return to Cyberspace in 6 hours.
    - Save your game to keep yourself updated on the remaining mission time.
    - During videos and memories, the countdown stops.
    - The classic crosshair is back.
    - Fewer resources!

"Time is of the essence, mon petit."

The mod has been updated to patch 1.6, which introduces two new endings.
Check above for details about unlocking the "Prequel" and "Twist" endings!

If you give away the endings, doesn't that spoil half the fun of it?

With 45 minutes of new dialogue, and another 20 of movies, you are guaranteed to get more if you play Infinite.

The following are remakes of the Bad and Neutral endings, to be included in the next patch. In my opinion, they include the best of Phantasmagore's works. I'm particularly attached to the Neutral ending, because back in December it was the first time I was writing the story off the canon.

    Bad Ending remake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaRlt7vQm8A

    Neutral Ending remake:

How much is remaining to go into this mod? I'm more a fan of playing complete versions of things.

It's annoying when you spend a week or so playing through something and finish it off only to discover a few weeks later that a new version has been released featuring extra levels etc.

Happened to me not long after playing through the KOTOR 2 Restoration mod.

Features wise, it's complete: but after working on Kolya's ending, I wanted to remake the movies.

Two are done, and will be shipped in this weekend's patch. The third I'm afraid will take a while, both ShephardReborn and I have to work on it.

    This one's for you, Icemann!

That updated I mentioned is ready, and I've also thrown in a little extra: all the npc animations are now redone, with much more detail and variety. An npc that would just talk, now also turns and moves... and often dies too, in extravagant ways pulled out from Spanker's motion list. This has definitely been the biggest update to the mod, since its release.

Any chance of getting it to work with a Steam install?

See if you can add "-fm" to the launch options of SS2 on Steam, by right clicking it on the library. That should activate the FMSel mod selector, which is used to run the mod.
