    Enderal - Skyrim TC

This looks pretty awesome, from the guys who did the Nehrim mod for Oblivion:

The current issue of PC Gamer magazine did a write up on this. Looks very promising.

    Enderal - Launch Trailer...

Enderal (to be released July 1-3 of 2016 - English version some weeks later) is a total conversion for TES V: Skyrim: a game modification that is set in its own world with its own landscape, lore and story. It offers an immersive open world, all for the player to explore, overhauled skill systems and gameplay mechanics and a dark, psychological storyline with believable characters.
    Notable Features:

    - An open world with its own lore and hand-crafted, detailed and diverse landscapes (desert, heathlands, forests, jungles, mountains and more)
    - An unconventional story with psychological and philosophical undercurrents
    - German and English localizations, both fully voiced by dozens of speakers, many with a professional background
    - Multi-faceted, believable characters with own ambitions and motivations
    - Overhauled gameplay with experience points, survival mechanics and hard, challenging combat
    - An overhauled skill system with classes and new special abilities
    - A housing system allowing the player to design their own homes
    - 30 to 100 hours of expected playtime

English version should be out soon, I'd be very keen to try this thing but I understand it does some voodoo to your Skyrim installation to swap itself in as a total conversion. Which I'm a lot less keen on. From what I hear it's possible to set up separate installs of Skyrim, but I'd have to see when I can find the time to look into it proper, no idea.

This looks phenomenal. The voice acting seems really pro and the cutscenes look pretty great too. Wow, just wow.

I actually quite like the sound of this in German for some reason. While I can't speak a word of it, if I end up playing this TC I would like to try it with the german voices and english subtitles.

The English version is out too now, by the way. Anyone started on this? I've got a full enough plate that I can justify waiting for now. I wonder what the odds are of the devs porting it to that Skyrim HD update that Bethesda want to put on sale this fall, though it's probably a hard guess not know what'll have changed under the hood.

I got the chance to play a little bit of it last week. It's pretty solid so far, but I think my character has been knocked unconscious and awoken by some savior at least 3 times in the first 40 minutes. Some of the writing isn't particularly great, but it might just be poorly localized.
The beginning felt a bit heavy to me. I don't know if it was the fault of the voice actor, but the dark and heavy writing wasn't really grounded by his performance, IMO. Some of the voice acting is magnificent and some is pretty cringey.
Not that it's terrible. I mean- it's a fanmade thing, so what can you expect? So far it's great for what it is.

I haven't really gotten far enough to give a good review, but I like a lot of the gameplay changes. (Like health not restoring itself quickly, etc)
There are three main class perk paths to take, you can't really mix and match too much from what I've seen. Pretty much warrior, thief, mage and 3 specialization choices from there.
