Fuck the editor for now, stop being selfish. Right now the most important thing is these creative people being able to build a piece of interactive art to according to their vision. Aside from the Tracy Hickman novel (seriously, I dunno why the fuck they deemed that so important, but whatever), most of the stretch goals that were prioritised contribute to doing just that.
I'm confident that they know the importance of a modding scene to a game's longevity, but they shouldn't make it a short-term priority. The game should come first. It's probably not a matter of IF you'll get your editor but WHEN.
As previously mentioned, there will be an editor...despite the fact that it's currently being marketed as an incentive to raise capital...In this particular scenario, it will be made because the ROI in doing so will be too good to pass up.

Perhaps there will (knowing their history, it's looking promising at least!) and I truly hope that you're right, but if "mark my words" and "there will be an editor" are the best "proof" that you can give, then you really shouldn't go around posting about this as a fact.
As always, you believe that the world revolves around you.As always, time will prove me right.Time has also proved you wrong many times before, so please point us to some reliable sources instead of stating your own opinions and speculation as facts.
Knowing the near-certainty of a future event, is due to the availability of certain resources and personal expertise in certain matters...allowing one to see where others can not.
Your inability to understand this, is only a reflection of your own inadequacy.

Vae, it doesn't really matter whether you think it's true or you know it's true -- without evidence, it's just speculation as far as anyone else is concerned. We all hope you're right, but reiterating your belief serves only to irritate and provoke. No more, please.
