It's starting to look a whole lot more impressive now in terms of the visuals. I do hope the player commentary was just there for show though and not indicative of the level of banter that we will hear throughout the game.
Gameplay footage of the first playable prototype (work in progress, not final quality, yadda yadda yadda):
Also, here's a version in a longer podcast with Paul Neurath and Joe Fielder commenting over it (relevant bit starts at 1h19min): https://youtu.be/xbQ2n0uPWsE?t=1h19m24s

The banter is there just for the demo. It's currently not known whether there will be any at all in the final game.
Fair enough. On the other hand, the quality of the sounds is quite high given where they are at in the developmental life-cycle.
Incidentally, that sounds very much like the voice of Imoen (Melissa Disney) from BG.
Here's the second video embedded (the forum doesn't allow embedding two videos in one post, apparently). Gameplay starts at 1h19m24s:

Just a tip for anyone watching that second video, the same video footage appears around 1.18, albeit with some commentary from Tim this time. Most of the video is filled with the other guys chatting about a variety of games including the upcoming FC4 "spinoff".
That ridiculously horrible late 90's Old Navy plaid w/ a bowtie combo is completely thwarting my attempts at actually paying attention to what Neurath is talking about.
Just to further clarify and reassure, this is from their Stygian Sentinel newsletter:
For such an early state, I think this looks and feels fantastic. I find it clever how their first in-game footage shows an inversion of Thief gameplay.Just to be clear, the VO of the rogue in the prototype is there only as a narrative piece to explain what the player might be thinking. There will not be player VO in the final game, as it’s a true role-playing game and we don’t intend to speak for the player.
