    I can't get Jonas to speak to me in his hideout at the inn.

    I've followed the instructions in the readme, I've included the DML, I re-installed with New Dark 1.23. I'm at my wits end, I've restarted this mission 3 times and the result is the same.

    It seems to be a lovely mission, but I'm so frustrated that I'm going to abandon it.

    Any ideas? Can anyone help?

    I eventually got it working under ND 1.27 using the DMLs posted here, and my ..\OSM\NVScript.osm is dated 9/28/2018 5:33 AM and is 554 KB in size. I'm using the KeeperOfInfinity2_v1_6ENG.zip which is both parts 1 & 2, which was the latest version I believe, so maybe try that if you're using the standalone Bad Ventures. Just checked from a save after getting to the inn from my playthrough and it's still working fine.

    Thanks Dahenjo, I've done all that and it still doesn't work. I'm going to give up and go on to another FM

    FloraPoste, when you go into the room do you see a welcome animation? Do you hear a strange voice when you frob Jonas?
    Maybe the problem is the display of text? You must click on Jonas more than 5 times to get a new objective.

    Could you check out the Fables of The Penitent Thief? There is the same dialogue system, and this may give some ideas regarding the solution. You do not need to play it, just run it, in the start room there is an interactive NPC like Jonas.

    No welcome animation, no text and his voice is garbled. I've clicked on Jonas more than 5 times

    I'll try out Fables of the Penitent Thief and see if it works.

    I tried Fable of the Penitent Thief and the NPC doesn't interact with me, there is no dialogue or text (if there was any).

    I do get dialogue text from the merchant in the inn, just not from Jonas.

    With Fables it came up recently in that thread and was solved by using the latest NVScript, making sure it's in your \OSM folder and that there are no other versions in the root game folder.
