mission complete omg wow that mission series is amazing,i feel honured to have played it,i will forsure go back for tons of replay also missed i think 9/15 secrets in first mission and second mission only found 1 secret
total game time 3.30 min first mission and 3 hours second mission ,i so want to see what happends that chick behind the fence you know is super powerfull,when the hammer finnatl do come i hope we get to watch the battle from a safe vantage point

Anyone with a save before finale, i have no more patience
Im stuck at the same place as Marbrien and nightchild. I frobbed Flik a hundred times and I always get the same answer about the dagger Ive already stolen. No new objectives, no item list, no key. I think this could be a bug. Did this already happened during beta testing?
Soul Tear, I please you to help us, please tell us what to do and if this is a bug/glitch would you mind fixing it in the next version? I spent so many hours in Konigsforst, enjoyed the atmosphere and the details a lot and it would be a shame if some players couldnt finish this masterpiece.
I may be in the same boat, but I'm not sure. I've gotten Flik to give me a list, but not a key. Are you supposed to get both at the same time?
I was in the same boat as Marbien and nightchild for a few times. Turned in the dagger, bought some things, then went back to Flik and got the same "pre-dagger" dialogue over and over again. And this is clicking many, many times through the cycle.
So I tried this and something different did happen:
When you turn in the dagger, follow him downstairs and let him open up the shop. Once the shop is open, *immediately* start talking to him while he is downstairs. DO NOT let him go behind the counter upstairs. If you do it then, then Garret will have different dialogue and ask him about getting to other parts of the city. If you click through all of this, Flik will talk about how there are more favors you could do him, he will do an animation like he is dropping something (the screen will fade black) and then stop. Now you can let him go back upstairs and when you go back there, you will find his list -- a list of more items to steal
So my question is -- is the LIST all you need at this point and you'll get a key later? Or are they both supposed to come at the same time?
I'm playing on Garrett (Hard).
@Elkston I can't help with your question. Unfortunately I have overwritten all my save games from before the point where I gave Flik the dagger. But if someone does have a save game from just before that point, perhaps they could share it on here and others could then do some testing on it. (Post release testing. Hm, why does the word "Microsoft" keep coming to mind?)

I've tried so many things and can still only get Flik to either *just* give me the list (and no key) and continue to say the same "pre-dagger" dialogue over and over again OR give me no list and just repeat the same dialogue. Even when he does give me the list, it requires interaction in a way that I'm certain the author did not intend.
Again, playing on Hard. Was this tested at that difficulty level? I still have these unfinished objectives at the time just before I give Flik the dagger:
1. Find Penny's Dagger
2. Mabye Hammerites can help these people...don't use regular weapons just holy arrows.
3. Find a way to open the gate and escort Lady Aveline's people to the Inn
Also, while in that part of the city, I visited the sewers -- got the dialouges there about the creatures and teh spider. Also, I went in the room where the Jonas used to be, went to the void, talked to him, and got the "Enter the Void" symbol. When I went into the void, I already had the "Kill a haunt" acheivement unlocked.
When I give Flik the dagger (by using the dagger ON him), he says follow me . He goes downstairs and opens the store, then I get a new objective to see what the store has to offer. (The dagger objective is cleared). The new "thief rave/swing beat" music starts playing and I buy something. The "see what the store has" objective is completed. Now I go back upstairs and talk to Filk and he has the same dialogue like it was the FIRST time I visited the Raven's nest.

Could this have anything to do with having the wrong scripts or new Dark version.
I'm running NewDark v. 1.23 with FMSel 1.1.2. Honestly, this was down to the script versions, I'm certain lots of other simple things wouldn't have worked either.

The only difference for me (I was playing on Keeper) was that I didn't even get the list from Flik. I followed him down, bought some stuff, and that was that. I think I visited Jonas in the Void before returning the dagger. It crossed my mind that maybe that visit is supposed to be made after returning the dagger, and that has caused the issue for us. But I'd have to restart to check that theory out, and I don't particularly want to do that. Some people have got beyond that point, if they happen to read this, perhaps they could share their memories of the order in which they did things.
You should get the list and a key at the same time, or maybe one after another (I can't remember), but certainly in the same conversation with Flik. The key opens the metal door in the city wall just past the fenced off blue fog area where the three guards stand. You must go through that door to do the rest of the mission.
I went to the void early on, before getting the dagger. I never went back to the void again, certainly not between getting the dagger and giving it to Flik.
Mariben, to be clear, when he did give me the list (at least), I had to frob him when he was downstairs to get the new dialogue; and the based on the animations he does, you know it was intended that he give this talk while he was behind his desk. This sequence is very un-intuitive and unnatural so it can't have been what Soul Tear was planning.
Regarding the void visit being the culprit (or even going the sewers in the first place) -- who knows? The previous mission had several hidden flags and triggers that could make the mission sequence go awry.
I gave Flik the dagger and I didnt visit Keeper Jonas in the sewers before, and Im in the same situation as you, as Ive already told. I'm playing on the easiest difficulty level. Like you, I have installed ND 1.23 and the same version of FMsel. I never had problem with scripts, I installed the latest script bundle, so I could play Heartcliff islands and Yandros new micro-mission without a problem. So, Im sure the scripts are not the problem. I read in another Thief Forum, that this glitch occured already during beta tests, but I wasnt a tester, so I dont know any details about this process.
I returned to the inn area via the sewers.
In the "R.I.P. Jonas" room I entered the area, talked to Jonas, and only later brought I back the dagger. I think at that point I didn't even have it yet.
Need find the dagger... how get to the other side of town?

LOL!! Guess what, I got the keys and list now, too! The last time I wasn't frobbing *enough* apparently. :-) This time, like you did, I just kept clicking as fast as I could on Flik while he was downstairs and when I went back up to his desk, the keys and list was there. When I picked them up, i got the new objectives.

the save you need is the first one : time 3:29:30 ignore the rest... I hope this is the right way to share it..but have in mind that I used Garrettloader as fmshel ignored the mission so I had to use the other loader.. Hope it 'll help some of you... i have no idea... maybe is safer to use the sav with the latest date.. it was the 13th of Jan. I think (and if i am corect, in this sav you will find the first on the row save game with the time i noted before)... don't know how it works..Probably in the zip are all the saves for both missions.. never done that before, if someone knows how else should I do it is wellcome
copy YOUR saves zip spmewhere else to be safe and try either to extract the first sav into your saves file or the whole zip into your save file

The save files in Thief are number sequentially in the order they appear from top to bottom in the saves screen. So game0000.sav is the top hard save slot, game0014.sav is the last/bottom hard save slot, and quick.sav is the quick save slot.
