    THE DARK TEMPLE

    Another short mission. It has 2 objectives: grab all loot and steal chisel. After completing them mission ends. But this mission has some really tricky situations. At the beginning run behind patroller and steal entrance key from Hammerite, then quickly unlock entrance to Cathedral and enter. Go left and grab candlestick. Wait for patroller to turn around, go behind him, enter kitchen wait for patroller to go into other direction and enter small bedroom with ring on table.

    Douse torch in corridor. Church is tricky to ghost. You need to wait for right patroller to go right and altar patroller to go in other direction. Then quickly run behind him along his left side, grab his key and candlestick, then quickly go into another corridor. Douse torch here. In Library there is tiny ring on table. Then run behind patroller and unlock 2nd room. Grab chest and chisel. Then enter last room with sneaky Hammerite watching other door leading to entrance and grab candlestick. Go behind patroller back to Church.

    Now wait for patroller inside walk near statues and altar Hammerite to turn around. Then strafe run to statues and pass patroller from right side. Quickly grab 2 tiaras on statues and this mission will end.

    GOOD VS BAD

    Short mission full of ghost busts. I'm playing on Normal, because other difficulties have no objectives. First there is alarm that goes on and big fight with guards. Hammerites are on your side, but they will die most likely. So you need to show yourself and then escape from guards by mantling on door. So this is ghost bust #1. Grab Treasury key from one of bodies. In Treasury there is guard that will got alerted by alarm and run after me (ghost bust #2).

    After entering Treasury there is watcher above my head, which I didn't notice. He a launch the alarm (ghost bust #3). I noticed him very late after looting this place in ghost run thanks to archer targeting him, but I didn't fell like replaying this mission just to avoid it. Grab lockpicks and all loot from this place, then proceed downstairs. there is secret behind stairs and secret under stairs. Secrets aren't noted in the stats though.

    In next area is thief apparition and Eye is observed by guards. Fun thing happened during my ghost run - thief apparition (killing him is objective) died somehow during starting fight. Usually I lure guards to undead, they kill thief apparition and ghosts and target lying zombies. One guard usually stays in room with Eye. And since I didn't lure guards away, I was forced to grab Eye and run from them (ghost bust #4).

    A MEETING WITH CUTTY

    Short mission. Due to author's overlook it's entirely in italian. Half of mission is city, half - Cathedral. Loot objective is quite tight. which makes ghosting difficult. There are only 2 tricky situation. First is chest in Priest's Room. You can hide behind door leading to his bedroom and when priest will enter prayer room go to his bedroom. You need to picklock his chest, but you don't have enough time and there is no shadow. After 3 second of picklocking hide under banner. When priest will enter go behind him and when he will turn around, go picklock the chest. You will need to repeat this few times. I think I needed 7-8 rounds like that.

    Second problem is Church. You can hide from patrollers in corners near hammer statues. Your target is 2 candlesticks and also there is coin on left middle bench. You will need to douse 4 torches near candlesticks (2 on both sides). Then nudge left Hammerite to the middle of room. Afterwards grab coin and sneak to candlesticks. The rest is easy.

    Short city mission. The problem here is 1st patroller. I don't know why, but I was forced to restart my ghost run because of him. Out of the blue he went into search mode. I'm not sure if he saw me picklocking door and reacted to it much later. Or he 2nd alerted to woman starting 2nd conversation at the middle of the street after reloading. I decided to let woman return to her house first, then I was very careful with this patroller. Rogue in nearby house has tendency to get stuck in small loop. To unstuck her just save and reload.

    Mission introducing surviving falls by using body as a cushion. Unfortunately never managed to not get hurt. Also zombies below will always spot you when trying to get to exit room.

    PROWLER OF THE DARK

    Short mission, but with a lot of exploration. Guards can hear through walls and they have very big range of hearing, so avoid doing noise. You can extinguish candles by frobbing them. In Tavern I need to crouch behind counter to avoid 2nd alert from novice. All other people are neutral. In room with merchant is window. Lean outside to grab vase on left window. To get to Tower you need to jump+mantle on wall. To go back you need to jump on edge of blue roof. Otherwise you will make noise, which will be heard by guards.

    In Hammerite Area visit 1st floor of Tower. There is machine you need to climb to top and quietly mantle on metal beam. There is purse on metal. Outside Hammerite can hear you. After getting key visit Church. If you are fast you can cross red lines. You will get only 1st alert from haunt. To get out climb nearby ladder. Archer on left roof has a purse, then climb to red roof above starting point.

    Avoid right side (you can complete escape objective that way). Jump to roof with archer who has purse, turn around and drop+mantle on terrace below. In bucket is bottle. Then strafe run+mantle on opposite ledge and go above starting point to finish this mission.

    Short Thief 1 mission with eternal darkness. Only Normal is available. Also I suspect that not all loot has been put into mission. First go through hole, grab all loot from cart and douse torch on the right. Mantle on blue chest on the left from cart and go around cart into shadow. Then go into crossroad, douse torch on the right, then douse torch on the left behind guard. It will become very dark. Now you need to go along wall very slowly to pass guard on the left.

    Go behind guard and grab bottle from table. Then douse torch in next corridor. Go to it and douse torch on the ramp leading down. Slowly sneak past guard to ramp. Downstairs is the Eye. Grab it to finish this mission.

    WOODKEY RESTHOUSE

    Another very short mission. You must infiltrate small fortress and steal Purple Book. Very annoying thing is very short frob range. Also 2nd sleeping guy isn't really sleeping and he can see you. That's why I doused 2 torches. There are also 2 wall passages that can be frobbed. Guard walking on stairs is weird. Sometimes he will get stuck on railing, sometimes turns around earlier after loading. Sometimes enters room with bookcase and after taking Purple Book he will visit this room. Because of this guard I doused 2 torches at the top of stairs.

    Getting blackjack (which is objective) is tricky. There is weird patroller. First douse torch, go to wall on the right. Patroller will enter room and after loading he will stop in this room and start turning just like normal stationary guard. Go into next room and quickly douse another torch. Patroller will enter this room, stand and keep turning. In 1st room left chest has blackjack and orange key. I'm skipping 2nd room, because fire elemental there will always spot me. To get out from this spot I'm forced to nudge turning guard, so I will go back to previous room. And guard will go after me and stand there. Then slowly I escape through wall passage.

    LORD BAFFORD'S MANOR CUSTOM EDITION

    Small edit of Bafford Manor. Some drunken guards in exit area. New stationary guards, but most of them isn't any problem. Kitchen servant is now moving, so it's even easier to grab everything from Kitchen. There is 4 new loot pieces and that's all. One loot piece is in exit area, so you need to go there before you complete all objectives. Some hatches in Sewers must be unlocked from inside with levers. But only some. And all guards move very slowly, some doors open slowly too. And there is new door on 2nd floor that leads to basement stash.

    I never ghosted any official missions, so trying to grab loot from spider cave with crate was really annoying. The biggest problem in this mission is getting loot from Dining Room on 2nd floor. Inside there is archer randomly turning in any direction and staying random amount of time. and because corridor patrollers you need to be fast. I found earlier 2 moss arrows in sewers. I used them on entrance and on table. This way I could jump quietly on table and to get out I could jump over stairs leading to corridor.

    MONSTER ARENA

    Douse all torches, then disable security and kill Mechanist near gate. He can't be killed in one hit (ghost bust #1). In next room go to right shadow and vine up to archer. Nudge him a bit. Drop on the other side and use torch (objective). Then go into corner behind stationary knight. You need to nudge him right, so you will sneak to crate with invisibility potion. Use it to get to higher crate with Metal Gear and another invisibility potion. You must use it to get out from this crate without being seen.

    Go to secret passage and drop into water. Open both portcullis. When 2nd portcullis will lower again, wraith spawn. Open portcullis again and shoot all your fire arrows and flash bombs into it (ghost bust #2).

    RETURN TO BAFFORD MANOR

    Bafford Manor again. This time with more edits. Mostly city part is changed, but also few parts of mansion. Expert force you to collect all loot. And there is a lot of objectives including killing 2 people. Also there is no basement in this mission. Because of spawning zombie, Sewers must be done as last.

    FIRST VISIT IN THE CITY

    There is no conversation at the entrance, so strafe run past it. Choose right path, climb on right ladder into house with coin stack. Then go to your old stash in passage to grab 12 water arrows. Return all the way to the start and go into opposite way to locked gate. Mantle on pipe, then on narrow ledge and go over gate.

    Guard with lantern has a purse. Lantern doesn't light anything though. Next patroller has key for mansion. Use it to open back gate to mansion. Nudge archer all the way to lamp, then rope up all the way to top of wooden passage. Climb roofs south and drop on inner garden below.

    SECOND FLOOR

    Go to lower balcony and douse all 4 torches in Lava Pool, then climb to side ledge and rope to wooden beam. On it is tiara, below is Dead Maker (objective). Afterwards strafe jump back to side ledge. Check Library for necklace. Both guard rooms on north and south side has one upstairs chest with loot. In Living Room is urn on fireplace. Then go to protected area.

    Steal orange key from patrollers. In Dining Room is bracelet and fire poker. Then go to bathtub and find tiny ring in water. Enter Gong Room and douse all 4 torches here. Above entrances is 1 water arrow and 1 gas arrow. Sneak to Throne Room. Open chest with Cleopatra's Charm, there is also torc near chest. Ignore Bedroom. There is Ramirez there who we need to kill, but when we open door he's running to door and then go back to his position. I would prefer to avoid that. Go to north passage leading to 1st floor. There is loot chest there.

    FIRST FLOOR

    First visit Lava Pool and grab 3 gas arrows, then go to NE alcove to grab candlestick. Patroller has a purse. Enter north entrance room from direction of front entrance. Sneak past drunkard, grab his bottle and coin stack on table behind him. Go through west passage with goblet and plate on shelf. Enter south part of mansion.

    In SE alcove is flute on table. In SE passage leading to Servant Quarters is table with vase and coin stack. Enter Servant Quarters. Go to Kitchen and grab nugget in lava sink. In room with sleeping servant is ring near chest. In next room are 3 servants and loot chest. Impossible to ghost, so I decided to shoot gas arrow in the middle to gas them all (ghost bust #1). Then I grabbed loot from chest.

    That's it for now, time to leave. Return to 2nd floor garden, climb the stairs to NE banner. You can mantle on it, then on walls and you are on roof. Travel to SW corner of mansion, so you will see small Hammerite Church. Douse torch below and drop on Hammerite.

    SECOND VISIT IN THE CITY

    Unlock door to Church and douse 2 torches inside. Sneak inside and grab loot from purple box, then go upstairs for Bafford Sceptre. Get out and go left. Douse 2 torches in front of Prison, steal Prison key from nearby Hammerite. Get into Prison and grab Confession (objective). Cutty will leave Prison. Now go right past Church to Brosnos House. Douse torch near door, unlock it and shoot gas arrow into Brosnos. Grab purse and move Brosnos right to the place where you found 12 water arrows. Kill him there.

    Go all the way to the Well. Drunkard has a key for gate. Douse torch and past next patroller easily. Next is Hammerite in front of Warehouse. He's turning into street and door regularly. Go past him and climb on barrels. Through tiny window shoot gas arrow into Ramirez. Continue along left wall all the way to back entrance to Bafford Manor.

    SECOND VISIT IN BAFFORD MANOR

    Go all the way to 2nd floor Bedroom. Grab Sewers key from Ramirez, then kill him. Important is order - after killing him I couldn't steal Sewers key even though I could highlight it. Nobody will hear this death. Take Hammer Warehouse key, tiara and 4 coin stacks from table. Take also Letter to Brosnos. Under wardrobe is tiny ring and next to it is lever. Use it and go all the way to secret wall in Servant Quarters. Douse torch and grab Evidence dagger near torch. There is also diamond near zombie. Go to roof. This time go to SE corner, drop on wall above gate near Well, then drop on street.

    THIRD VISIT IN THE CITY

    First go to Warehouse. Wait for Hammerite to turn around and enter Warehouse (objective). You don't need any stuff from there. Wait for Hammerite to turn around and go past him. Return to Well and use Sewers key on lock. Go into Sewers. Near ladder is nugget, in front of wooden door is another nugget. Open door and you can grab necklace (last piece loot) without alerting zombie. But Quintus dagger is a bit too far, so you are forced to alert zombie, take dagger and leave (ghost bust #2). This will finish this mission.

    CAPTURED BY BEASTS

    I don't like this mission. It's full of monsters with really long corridors built from random textures. Loot is only in the rooms, very rarely outside. Loot objective is hard to achieve. Mission can't be ghosted and I suspect many ghost busts. Also for this mission I disabled Auto-Equip. It's really helpful. In shop I'm buying all water arrows, 1 rope arrow, 2 breath potions, 1 broadhead arrow and rest is moss arrows.

    FIRST OBSTACLE

    You are on top floor. First obstacle is ratman watching door to next area. Nudge him to the left side of door, douse torch and unlock door. You need to partially open door, so you will be in doorway, but ratman will not see you. This room is very hard to ghost. There are 2 frogs randomly patrolling room and bugbeast walking around. In left room is crayman and ratman. Right corridor has walking red spider, light mushroom and locked door. We don't have a key, so we will be forced to return here. Path forward has 2 differently patrolling green spider and frog. Also ratman near you will nudge himself regularly towards doorway, so you will be forced to correct his position.

    First use broadhead arrow to shoot light mushroom in path forward. Then you need to time frogs, bugbeast and red spider and go into right corridor. Disable light mushroom and pass red spider from the right. Near door you are safe. Now you need to time frogs, bugbeast and green spider. Pass red spider from the right and go into forward corridor. Pass spider and frog and hide in right corner in next cave. You are safe for now.

    SECOND OBSTACLE

    Second obstacle is mostly rotating green spider. It doesn't stop, you can grab few water arrows from middle of cave, but you can't grab gas arrow. And you will need gas arrows. Go along right side and douse torch in next corridor patrolled by 2 ratmen. Crouch and go along right side, turn right and go into dark corner. First you need to use right tunnel. Pass crayman patrolling it, then go right. Next place has bugbeast patrolling corridor, red spider, frog and turning crayman. From all this only bugbeast and crayman can see you. Wait for them to look in different direction and move right to the street, which isn't exit by the way.

    THIRD OBSTACLE

    Third obstacle is safely getting into house. 1st patroller has purse, 2nd - speed potion. 1st guard patrols street, 2nd - goes around entrance door. You need to time them both and unlock door. So you will be forced to return to shadow once. Afterwards you must have luck inside. No shadow, but there is patroller. Go immediately left into corner and douse 2 side torches.

    Turning guard has silver key that opens most of doors. Another copy of it is on table. Pick up also water arrow and gas arrow. Also there is purse, binoculars and blue chest to check. Then you must return all the way to rotating spider. This time you must sneak to hatch and unlock it.

    FOURTH OBSTACLE

    Fourth obstacle is getting all stuff without getting seen by patrolling thief. Patroller moves only left and right, so you need to be fast. 2nd thief has golden hammer, there is bottle, goblet and plate on left table and candlestick on right table. On middle table is water arrow, gas arrow and purple box with orange key. Leave. Use left tunnel, pass crayman and bugbeast and go to middle level.

    FIFTH OBSTACLE

    Fifth obstacle is on the left. Douse torch. Room below is patrolled by ratman and frog and both corridor on both sides are also patrolled by ratman and frog. These places are well lighten and you can't make them darker.In left corridor is locked room with some loot. You need to unlock door, but in next room very close to door is red spider and ratman walking around room. It feels like mission impossible to get this 67 loot from locked room. So I'm gonna skip it.

    Wait for beasts to go right and run along right wall into corner. Wait for beast to move left and descend. When beasts from right corridor are going away, go behind them and enter room. It has no door and it's empty, so it's a good hideout. Wait for monsters to go left and go right. At the middle of next corridor you are safe.

    In this corridor your target is to douse all torches. In 1st room on the right is neutral Hammerites. They have speed potion. In 2nd room on the left check middle chest. In 2nd room on the right is guard and 2 nobles. 2 nobles has purse, also grab 8 coin stacks in front of guard. There is also nugget on shelf, but guard and 2 nobles are looking at it. And that's the sixth obstacle.

    SIXTH OBSTACLE

    You need to nudge all 3 people a bit forward. I started from guard and nudged him a bit right. Then I did the same with woman and man. Then again I nudged guard forward and then woman. And that was enough to lean for nugget.

    In 3rd room on the left are 2 chests behind undead. That's it for left side. In 3rd room on the right you need to lean for urn. Ignore 4th room. There is breath potion, but sleeping guy isn't sleeping. So it's impossible to grab it. In 5th room are elemental arrows and in last room on the right you can grab 2 goblets. Finally it's over. It's time to return all the way to the entrance of this level.

    Return trip is a bit tricky. Enter empty room and wait for one beast to go right and other left. Go left past monster and run into left corner. Beasts from next room should go other way. Then you climb on left wall and strafe run to exit from this room.

    Use stairs to go down. There is red spider you need to nudge into right corner. Open door and go left. Here is crayman and bugbeast. Both easy to dodge. Next room has few ratman and few frogs, but room is big enough, so it's easy to dodge them. Just go along left wall to door.

    Here is randomly turning guard and patroller walking around next room. Pretty easy to dodge. Go to 1st room. Here are stationary guards randomly turning towards tables and left. On left table are elemental arrows, you need especially moss arrow. Check also 2nd chest, vase and purple box. Next room has equipment chests, 2 nuggets and 4 coin stacks. And also crates. Transport 2 of them to rotating spider. Then go to crayman corridor at the very beginning of this level.

    SEVENTH OBSTACLE

    This time go right and douse torch. Next corridor has patrolling bugbeast and 4 ratmen in front of door. You need to go inside, but it's impossible to ghost situation. And that's seventh obstacle. Shoot gas arrow between 2 far ratmen to gas them both. Other ratmen will go into search mode, so shoot another gas arrow to gas them both. Then open door with orange key and quickly hide the bodies. That's a ghost bust #1. Inside you will find gas arrow and grey key for 1st door near starting point. And that's where you need to go with crates.

    Return to crates. To avoid rotating spider, crouch and go to left dark corner. Wait for ratmen to go away and crouch run to left slope of spider cave, mantle on it and immediately crouch. Go along left wall. Now is much harder. Getting into tunnel with frog and spider isn't hard and you are safe in the middle on sides. Well, until frog will nudge spider more to the side. Then you must avoid spider. You must time these 2 beasts, 2 frogs and bugbeast from next room and of course patrolling red spider. Put crates in dark corner under door and open door. Sadly thieves from next room will not fight red spider.

    EIGHTH OBSTACLE

    There are 2 ways to go forward. Well on the ship is observed by thief, so that's not a good way. There is ladder on the left, but it's too high for us. There are 3 thieves patrollers, one of them has random route around room. Also everywhere is loud floor. And that's your eighth obstacle.

    It's time to use moss arrows. I don't have them enough to cover whole path to ladder. Still it's better to jump, because it's faster. Moss on entrance and under ladder and on the path to it, then move 2 crates there while thieves are away, stack them and jump from them on ladder. Also when bringing 2nd crate I noticed that 2nd thief stopped and observed well. I think that's just a bug, very convenient bug. Anyway, jump over hole to ladder and unlock door to another street. That's still not exit, but location of Sapphire Vase. Patroller walks around street with door and has a purse. Open door and enter.

    NINTH OBSTACLE

    Ninth obstacle is looting this room. Patroller is walking in "8" pattern and near tables is randomly turning in all directions guard. First go to left corner and wait for patroller to go right. This section requires a lot of luck. Jump quickly along left wall to farther corner and grab 2 goblets from left table. Now you need to run behind guard to chest on the other side and use 3 lockpicks to open it. This will complete loot and Sapphire Vase objectives. Quickly return to precious corner. All the time you must pray that guard will not turn towards you. Wait for patroller to pass and quickly jump run to corner near door.

    Wait for patroller to go right again and this time go behind him. Grab his bottle and continue walking behind him to door. Return all the way to 4 ratmen you gassed. It's time to go the other way. It's easy to ghost bugbeast. You have a choice. Both paths leads to the same place and both paths are impossible to ghost. Right path has many more beasts that will spot you and also bridge that should connect both sides, but you are just falling through it.

    Left path is crayman easy to dodge from the side, bugbeast and red spider are also easy. I doused 2 torches to get to well, but there are 2 frogs impossible to ghost (ghost bust #2). Just fall into water and strafe swim from one air pocket to other. It will be very long swim. Eventually there will be longer tunnel going down, so I used 2 speed potions and 1 breath potions. Ignore 2 tunnels going up and go to the end. Climb the other well.

    THE LAST STRETCH

    Here are 2 tunnels: with beasts is the other side of super long fake bridge. Ignore this one, we aren't going back. Choose other tunnel. 6 bugbeast are easy, just strafe run along right wall. Then you are going ratman and gate to picklock. Nudge ratman towards gate. Unlock gate and quickly run away. There are 3 thieves and guard inside and they will fight monsters. Not us, because they are our allies. This way standing ratman, frog and one of ratmen in left tunnel died. One archer survived and also 1 ratman from left tunnel.

    Grab purse from friendly guard and move bodies to the room. Then go behind ratman in left tunnel and pass him. In next room is red spider and patrolling crayman. When crayman go right, jump run along left wall to the other side. Grab candlestick from dark corner and douse torch to go past 2 ratmen. Then escape to exit street.

    That was really stressful mission. I'm surprised that there is only 2 ghost busts. I was ready for 20. But to be honest it requires a lot of various techniques to beat it. The first area is the worst and you are forced to go through it few times. There is nudging, perfect timing many enemies at once in places with lots of light, there is stacking crates. Even loud surface and underwater tunnel makes appearance. Some really creative obstacles like this annoying rotating spider. In other words this mission is hell to ghost.

    DOWNTOWNE FUNK

    Also name "Guilding the Lily" appears when selecting this mission. Maybe that's the name of the campaign. Thief 1 Anniversary Contest mission and for me it's very mediocre mission. Not too much going on, it's way too peaceful. But the thing I didn't like the most is lazy copy paste of Reuben house. It's absolutely the same with absolutely the same patrol routes and AI placement.

Mantle on higher roof, so you can jump on gargoyles south to Feldhaus Gate and drop in 2nd part of city. I actually did that in this ghost run.

    THE FINAL CRUSADE 1

    Pretty easy mansion mission. The only real problem is getting loot from Ousma Room on 1st floor. There is stationary guard who turns west and south. That means he always look at door. He must be nudged forward, but it's not that easy. You must be careful of 3 patrollers: one on 2nd floor, one that appears from side door and one that appears from the stairs behind stationary guard.

    Getting to Lord Bafford Quarters is a bit tricky, because you need to time stationary guard and 2 patrollers. Also to get to south Guest Suite you need to douse 2 torches. I leave Vault for the end, then use nearby passage to Sewers and use it to get to Docks.

    HELL'S MOTEL 2

    Motel mission. It's pretty big place with lots of guards, but it's not that hard to sneak through. Some people are neutral, but guards, guests from rooms and people from Casino aren't. The biggest problem is looting Casino, because you need to douse lamps. They look glitchy and they are glitchy. If you shoot in their black squares, it's possible to activate glitch with arrows getting stuck in air right after being shot. You need to shoot into metal sticks, but it's not always work. So you need to try to shoot from different angles. And after dousing these lamps, they change into cheese. Definitely dousing them wasn't intended.

    For escape I'm leaving left part of Presidential Suite #2 door open, while the other part is closed. After taking girl with you (you must KO her, but it's excused by objective), zombies spawn in motel. They look like thieves, but sounds like haunts. They also fight with guards. And because they are zombies, guards keep fighting their lying body.

    Guards in front of King's Suite fighting one of zombie's body. Sneak to Presidential Suite #2, rope up to wooden beam and go to King's Suite. Douse fireplace, then open King's Suite door. Dead noble has a key. 2 zombies observing balcony door will hear fight in corridor and will go into search mode. Not a bust, because they didn't spot me. This way I sneak to balcony.

    Originally I planned to fall and use girl's body as a cushion. But after reloading she changed her position into sitting position. And looks like this fall glitch isn't possible anymore. So I dropped on ledge on the right, then on red roof and went over it. Zombies near stable won this time. Sneak behind them and go into sewers.

    LORD BAFFORD'S SECRET

    CITY


    Another mission with Lord Bafford. Looks like this is Lord Bafford's week. It is combination of Lord Bafford Manor and Eavesdropping. It starts from escape from Prison. You are forced to nudge guard outside while looking out for guard on long patrol who appears from right and guard on medium patrol who appears from left. Then go left and hide in closest shadow. Wait for left guard to pass you and quickly unlock Equipment Shop.

    Next thing you need to be careful is Hammerite Post, because there is thief on 2nd floor who can spot you. In Thieves House take Mechanist servant's body with you upstairs. Next something unexpected for me happened. In test run I was KO-ing everyone, so this events didn't happen, but in this ghost run happened. Eventually Lord Bafford will come for other prisoner. Escape with servant to Well and wait for Lord Bafford to steal his key to Vault Room.

    Go with servant to Hammerite Post. You will notice bunch of guards running after thief. There will be a fight. When you return to Well you must look out for sensitive thief archer. After looting rest of city enter Well.

    LORD BAFFORD MANOR

    So here I made mistake. I took crate, initiated conversation between guards and went to spider cave (I have no idea how it's possible to get this chest without even a single alert). When I returned one guard was patrolling right corridor, the other was looking into exit from storage and not moving. I was forced to douse 2 torches (one through small window) and then sneak past him. Also don't go right, there is room with elite guards who can spot you.

    1st floor has problematic obligatory secret in Kitchen's sink. You need to descend on ladder, go away of it by crouching, then swim away from ladder. Swim towards ladder while swimming downwards to go under water and stick to ladder. Going from south I visit Pool and douse 3 torches to grab statuette on fountain.

    On 2nd floor you can't use Library to go to Protected Area. In north part of Garden is lever behind statue. There is nearby guard, by he will not 2nd alert to you if you hug left wall. Skip Bedroom and go to left entrance to Gong Room. You will hear bell and see Lord Bafford running in. This is your 2nd occasion to steal his key. Now you get to his Bedroom. Woman inside will not react to you. Even if you would enter Bedroom while Lord Bafford is inside, he would just activate bell and run to Gong Room. It's scripted and it works even after using invisibility potion and mossing the floor.

    Using beams you can easily enter Throne Room. This way I decided to not douse any torches. Also Lord Bafford vanished somewhere. I believe you don't need vine arrows. I think you can jump from throne to wooden beam. In the end use 15 Vault keys to fly to Mechanist Cathedral.

    MECHANIST CATHEDRAL

    CHURCH


    This place is much harder to ghost. On the right is cart with 4 bags of gems, each worth 10000. With this it's easy to complete loot objective. Use nearby door to enter. You will see 2 guys leaving basement. They will go to cart and place 2 more bags of gems, which becomes loot. I went to grab them. Then I went for candlesticks. Going along right side of pulpit I could get right candlestick. Continuing my road I sneaked into shadow in front of priest and grabbed left candlestick. Then I went behind 2nd storage behind priest, went into shadow, sneaked to east wall and entered basement.

    Basement is mine. Here I realized my huge mistake. Path to loot this place has been blocked by guard who earlier left mine with bag of gems. This was my time to loot this place. Instead I focused myself on getting these 2 bags of gems and candlesticks. What's worst, I have overwritten my earlier saves. This way I must have acknowledge missing 6400 loot from the mine.

    NOTE FOR THE FUTURE: Loot mine first, then go for other loot.

    UPPER FLOOR


    Getting to upper floor is also tricky, because stairs are observed and there is no normal way from outside like it was in Eavesdropping. So I needed to be creative. I went outside to the front entrance. Balconies have there wooden beams around them. So I shot wooden beam of SW Tower and climbed on top of wooden beam. When Mechanist turned away. I dropped on balcony and hid in shadow. I looted tower. On top of this tower is book, which trigger optional objective of destroying antenna. But doing it is very loud and also trigger the alarm. I decided to skip this objective.

    I entered west corridor to loot it and loot north office. Then returned to tower and through passage went to SE Tower and looted it. Afterwards I went to east corridor, mantled over table and nudged Mechanist left, so I could pass him. You need to look out for 2 patrollers here. Next drop on stairs and continue to shadow on top of stairs. Then I grabbed statuette from shelf and returned to tower. You do that by jumping from stairs and mantling on lamp above them. Then I returned to SW Tower and from balcony I dropped on lamppost and then ground.

    The rest is easy. Just return to Bafford Manor and use back door to go through opened gate near Stables.

    IRON HEART

    MANSION

    To get out from basement you must douse torch behind archer and then nudge him right. You need to look out for 2 patrollers: behind you and the one using stairs. Also you must be careful of archer's moving his head. During this animation he can see more on the side, so after you leave good shadow you will need to nudge from his back.

    There is secret chest in kitchen. Opening it will trigger trap and it will 2nd alert both servants in kitchen. You must skip this 100 loot. As for storage you must go behind walking servant, unlock chest, then run behind her to unlock 2nd chest, then run again behind her to loot it.

    Going for Sky Gemstone. Rope up in wooden wall just under statue, mantle and quickly grab rope. Getting out is even trickier. Shoot rope arrow to wooden wall on your right. You must jump there, but over loud tiles on the edge.

    2nd floor has similar situation like Mission 3. Dousing gas torches will 1st alert patroller, which will 2nd alert stationary guard. Don't do it. Luckily there is enough shadow to get to first few rooms without stationary guard going into search mode. Sneaking into bathroom is stressful, because you must sneak behind stationary guard with no shadow available and patroller walking downstairs. Then you must pray for stationary guard to turn right and run to bathroom. In bathroom you can hide in dark corner on table. Just not stand on book. Dropping from it on table will make a lot of noise.

    Library has another tricky situation. You must get to upstairs safe, but there is patrolling guard. There is also walking inside woman. So again you can't douse gas torches, because it will 2nd alert woman. Patrolling guard usually go upstairs and there is no shadow there. Usually. In my ghost run he was walking midair, but he wasn't moving and he was facing stairs. Impossible to ghost.

    Upstairs is safe with Deed of Property. That's for optional objective. So I could give up on it. I decided to go away, so maybe his position will change. I went to kitchen and then returned to library. His position has changed. He was higher, still walking in place. I thought about going to ruins and return, so maybe he would fly to outer space. But I decided to try sneaking upstairs. I mantled on statue, then on stairs, crouched and went quickly upstairs. It worked. My escape from there also worked on 2nd try - crouch and drop on floor as quick as possible.

    RUINS

    I doused torch in cave with light spider. Speaking about these spiders, they can see you when you are behind them. Be careful. To get to chest on the other side os small lava river, you must strafe jump on it from top of stairs. To go back just strafe jump from floor on stairs. I shot moss arrow into switch to open sealed room.

    Enemies don't react when you activate traps. So in room with chest on the other side of lava pond, I shot moss arrow in front of smaller lava pond and then shot rope arrow above it. This gave me access to lever summoning islands and activating shooting traps. I waited with this until knight will decide to go down, then I descended on rope and jumped on moss. Islands will descend into lava after some time,so jump to chest and quickly come back. Also I was forced to leave rope arrow behind.

    Nearby jumping challenge also has a shooting trap. It activates when you are in this corridor. So jump quickly on the other side. In room with skeleton I doused both torches. I also doused 2 torches in side room from Agar's Sword. Then I went behind knight while grabbing all loot. When knight reentered this room I went outside praying that stationary knight will not look at me.

    If you lean forward you can grab Iron Heart without triggering killing objective. But since it's not a big problem I did it. Eoful's Brothers are 2 zombies fused with each other. They are in separate area, but can see behind themselves. So go into shadow and lean forward to kill them with Agar's Sword. For some reason game registered 2 back stabs that way instead of 1.

    THE TOWER IN THE FOREST

    Despite the fact that whole mission is located inside tower, it's still pretty big. First, note. Spiders from cave are neutral. Note near gate says that spiders don't like gate being open. So I returned back to them, but didn't notice any change in their behavior. They weren't in search mode and they were still neutral.

    In Prison floor (UG 2) I needed to douse 5 torches, so prisoners will not alert to me. But 2 mages can 2nd alert to the sound of dousing torches. Be careful especially with torch near window and torch on the other side of gate you need unlock.

    On higher floor (UG 1) there is problem in Kitchen. Safe spots are under ramp and in secret passage on higher floor. You can also hide at the top of ramp and when archer walks upstairs go behind him and pass him from right. Green servant is pretty blind, so it's easy to grab bowl from sink in front of him. Just don't get too close to him.

    Also in Casino Room I mossed SE corner of the room. That's because after grabbing Ring of Neutrinos you get teleported here and you may accidentally make a lot of noise. Speaking about ring, it only appears after finding info about it.

    The next problem is near the end. You visit OG 7 (Artifact floor) via SE passage in OG 6 (Treasury floor). There is stationary fire mage in your way and you are forced to nudge her all the way left to get access to all other areas.

    On roof (DG) loud looking floor isn't really loud. You can run on it. Near 3 spiders is a tree with loot on it. To get it you need to shoot light mushroom to disable, then use rope arrow to climb on tree branches.

    SEEDS OF DOUBT

    Short city mission, which unfortunately doesn't work for me correctly. But about this later. Guards can 1st alert to open doors and go investigate inside. Also there is quite a lot of them. To get to cathedral I used switch, which sounds like gong. It summons Hammerite to investigate, then he walks inside. But none of this is 2nd alert, so it's not a bust.

    Next is cave. You can ghost haunt who looks like thief without dousing fire. In ruins I doused 4 torches. In room with golden skull I mossed sarcophagus, so I could lean forward and jump for skull. Then I threw it into Deceiver, which killed him and apparently this dealt 10000 damage to him. Then I left.

    And unfortunately it's here that mission doesn't work for me correctly. Objective says that I need to kill also minions, but they are gone. I have checked the whole mission and they are nowhere to be found. I suspect they should teleport to city and start fighting. But it just doesn't happening for me. I also put Thief Gold convict.osm, but it didn't make any change. Also I watched Nexus Leturn's video and the same thing happened. So instead I put skull on altar, which fails the mission, because I didn't complete killing minions objective. But I believe that's where the mission normally ends.

    SPIDER CAVES (T1/T2)

    Mission created by Komag. Thief 1 version has only ground floor and platforms, so it's always sounds like walking on carpet. Thief 2 version has also stone floor and platforms, so jumping on them is loud. There is also gravel, so walking on it is loud. There is also 1 zombie. And that's all. The rest is the same with Thief 1 version. That's why I'm gonna play harder Thief 2 version only.

    So first you are falling and you will lose 2 HP. In Thief 2 version is stone floor, so you will make noise, but you can avoid that. While falling at some point you will touch slope and quickly slide from it. In this time you must crouch. You will still make noise from getting hurt. And since it's beginning and it's not my decision to get hurt, I'm gonna excuse this for ghost run. Also I'm not sure if Garrett's pain shout didn't alert guards above, because they start fighting servants. So I'm gonna classify this for my advantage and not call it a bust.

    Then you go into hole and there is frog and it can see you falling into next hole. I noticed that strafe running while crouching allowed me to fall into hole with just 1st alert. But I can't be 100% about that. I heard 1st alert while falling into very deep hole. Also you must be careful to not get stuck in hole. Spider after tunnel is easy to dodge. Just mantle on the other side of it. Frog in dark tunnel is possible to even supreme ghost, but you must move super slowly along left wall.

    Go left twice to cave with 2 spiders and zombie on gravel. Go between zombie and green spider (walk closer to spider) to stone platform. Mantle on them, sometimes you can make falling noise after mantle, so mantle on angle, so you will fall on the edge of platform or just jump on the edge of platforms. Go right. There will be easy to dodge spider. Just go right to cave with stone beam. You must quietly jump on this stone beam, then slowly move on the other side and jump on the edge of stone platform. Slowly sneak through gravel tunnel.

    Go straight. You will be forced to strafe run on slope and eventually run+lean forward to get unstuck and move forward. Go again straight, then twice left to chasm with stone platforms. You must cross them quietly and you can do that easily by strafe running. 1st spider is just like frog in dark tunnel, hard to ghost. You need to move super slowly along left wall. 2nd spider is slightly easier, move slowly along right wall. Final spider is very easy to avoid.
