That movie looks awesome.
I want to watch The Quiet Place. Interesting premise.
That movie looks awesome.
I think so too but then those who enjoy Thief are bent that way. We would tend to be the target audience.
I fail to see the parallel with Thief and this movie.
Because the characters in it are sneaking around LIKE GARRETT.
Also the monsters are burricks.
Well they sneak and use sign language to communicate.
Hmm, well, ok!
+7 seasons confirmed for Rick & Morty. They're going to gut this show until it's like the Simpsons in the end I bet, but it'll be good until it jumps that shark.
A Quiet Place is pretty good.
Well made anyway. Plot holes yes, but it would have been boring to set it up any other way.
4/5 real dread
The movie I'm looking forward to is a Polish one called Cold War from the same director that did Ida, which I also loved. My friend was at its Cannes release and gave it a great review that sold me on it. It's about a romance that the Cold War splits over time, which is a nice lens to explore it.
I'm super interested in the Cold War period, both sides. That's probably the Gen X in me.
Looks like we got a GOOD TRAILERS PILE-UP! OH NO!
This gave me "the feels".
YUUUUUUUUUP!
Jim Carrey and Michel Gondry? Yes plz.
Michael J Fox had an announcement today. Nothing I was waiting for, but alright; I'm game. Back to the Future 4 is coming.
Get a loada this crazy shit.
That looks great!
not to spam here, but I recently bought movie pass. $10 a month and you can see a movie a day at participating theaters, AMC participates and they rolled out their own version
https://www.moviepass.com/
https://www.amctheatres.com/amcstubs...SAAEgL9tfD_BwE
AMC's is more expensive but for those who like Dolby/Imax/3-d it's problably worth it, you only get 3 movies per week an AMC vs 1 per day at movie pass.
That looks like a good deal, wish we had something similar over here.
ALREADY watched 3 movies using it so subscription paid for itself, not all theaters participate so that is something to consider.
There's gonna be an 8-episode The Witcher series on Netflix! Henry Cavill was just announced as the actor of Geralt. I don't know about Cavill. He's ok I guess? The talent behind the camera likewise looks to be solid but unremarkable.
I liked Daredevil and Defenders, and I'm sure this'll be similarly very watchable, but not a masterpiece or anything. Looking forward to that episode 3 hallway-fight tho!The show will be run under the supervision of Daredevil and Defenders executive producer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, and directed by Alik Sakharov (Game of Thrones), Alex Garcia Lopez (Utopia), and Charlotte Brändström (Outlander).![]()
Game of Thrones and Utopia had some very nice behind-the-camera work, but as long as the budget is there to make the fantastic look convincing I think a Witcher series will stand and fall with the writing.
I will certainly watch the last season of Game of Thrones whenever it's out, but beyond that, there's not a lot I'm looking forward to. I only just heard of that new Predator movie, which means I'll probably see it in three years when it's on TV, I can't be arsed to go to a cinema.
The best thing about the new Predator is that it inspired Honest Trailers to release an episode about the original:
Heyyyyyyyy
Tim Blake Nelson as a gunslinger does put a smile on my face.
I also see Tom Waits and Stephen Root in there! HOT DIGGITY
So apparently a 3rd "Creep" movie is in the works. I massively enjoyed the previous 2 found footage style horror flicks. These ones in particular as the 2 out so far have a very unique vibe to them. Very little in the way of jump scares, more just creepy (no pun intended) weirdness. Just cause it's found footage, don't be thinking it's ghosts or whatever as nope not at all. More follows a serial killer around. Second one ended on a real cliffhanger, so be eagerly awaiting the next one.
