A completely new version of "Melancholy in Porto" for T2 25-11-18

So this is the most radical update i did in one of my missions, took almost one year to modified this mission from 2009, back then when i did this mission i still lacked resources and skill which didn't allowed me to have a 100% satisfying result, now with so many means to make a nice mission i decided that "melancholy in Porto" did need a re-work, so there are many new things:

    -Many new objects
-Modified some areas, added some exterior areas as facade.
    -added many new Ai skins
-Garrett is no longer part of this mission as it's dislocated from our actual reality
    -improved some textures quality
-added two new music from Boards of Canada
    -Updated to newDark 1.26
    -aligned readables with parched
    -adjust many objects physics dimensions
    -other fixes.

    Here's melancholy in Porto V 1.5:

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QM7...ew?usp=sharing

    changes in version V 1.5
-Most objects illuminated by the sun have shadow
-two roofs are now visible + a grass courtyard has been replaced by stone floor
    -readables fixed by Matt99
    -Other minor fixes

Hope you enjoy this new version.

    Enjoy

good news the download is now working

    going to play it now

and thank you cardia for this mission

for my first run mission 1 i got 6986/7238,and i found dewdrop will for sure go back to find the loot i missed

its was truly amazing remake, felt so much more alive, don't want to spoil anything for others but so many different room styles that are amazing,a true master piece

but one thing i noticed when visiting aunt,if you go outdoors to back area, and climb on table, then to roof of tiny building then get on terracotta roof, you can then get up to this sweet little balcony but you did not add anything to that area, was kinda hoping it would be a secret otherwise i had goose bumps entire time doing mission with all the amazing visuals and yes the sky was so blue and felt just like southern california

Mission 1 complete, I got 6801/7238 loot and I found dewdrop. I haven't played Melancholy in Porto before (I talked to downwinder a few weeks ago and he recommended playing it), and I was pleasantly surprised with the level design. The atmosphere and music was so relaxing. Last but not least, I loved the old aunt and the sounds she made.

    Who painted this?

I look forward to play this new version. I liked the first one as it was, so this is a nice surprise to have something enhanced. Thank you for your missions and your contribution.

    Maybe this site:

    https://www.thiefguild.com/

    Or this:

    http://boycot.no-ip.com/Thief/FanMissions

There's already a mirror on ttlg.de, but the traffic there is very limited.

Mission 2 complete. Again, very relaxing level. I wish the objectives were more complicated than just "find and read x", though. Visiting the school was a nice opportunity to learn something interesting about Portuguese culture. I found the portrait of Fernando Pessoa, I have his "The Book of Disquiet" on my shelf .

You should consider adding some Aphex Twin tracks in your next FMs:

Yes im planning later on to use some tracks from Aphex Twin from this release:

    https://www.discogs.com/Aphex-Twin-S...-II/master/481

since were're talking about Warp artists im considering using also Autechre Music as soundtrack

I didn't know Fernando Pessoa was known outside Portugal, among Brazilian people yes, but i didn't know there were translations of his books into foreign languages.

The objectives are indeed simple they are practically from the original version of the mission.
