Oh, yes! I'll play the unfinished entries whenever they are finished, whether that be in 3 weeks or 3 months. I'll play Up in the Bonehoard yet again then, as-is or 'further fine tuned' if so chosen, due to time extension. I'm grateful for every FM released, no matter the reason for its creation.

I've heard interest from two people and have decided to raise the deadline upto the end of December.

So, this contest has 3 submissions now, even though it's long past the deadline. Guess the voting process can start!

Too bad it didn't receive any more submissions, as the concept was very interesting.

Why did you receive your own mission so late?
The only mission that should count is the first one. The other ones are too late at the party. Read the rules. This is not a contest any more.
The "winner" is Up in the Bonehoard

But which mission do you think is the best, 'contest' aside?

Let's assume I rate all missions 10 points. I'm going to cut off 3 points for each month of delay. That's fair. The author of the first mission didn't have much time to build the mission.
    Do the maths.

I mean, the main thing is the community now has 3 more missions to play. That's kind of the bottom line. But as far as rules and contests go, this mission broke them fairly badly. The contest was supposed to run for 3 months, and this entry (The New Sheriff) was three months late, so they essentially had double to the time to work on their level. How is it possible to have a fair voting process in a situation like that?

The second mission (ReKidnap) was 2 months late. So the whole premise of a "fair" contest is kind of out the window at this point.

I agree. I think we can just declare Up in the Bonehoard the winner, and then if you want to vote for which is the community favorite as a separate issue, that's fine.

That sounds like a very good idea, Tannar. This way we can have some discussion about the contest results without being unfair towards the only mission that actually kept the deadline.
I talked to DevAnj, the contest organizer, and the final two contributions were mostly contributed just so the contest gets more than one FM to it, despite the deadline having been long passed (and both actually had a rather short build time, having been started either close to the final deadline or even after it was already over).

Bonehoard deserves to be the de facto winner but some post-contest discussion and comparison thread would be nice. I like how all three missions deal with the contest theme in their own unique way and make very different types of changes to the OMs they're based on (Bonehoard - flips the entire geometry, adds a whole new gimmick with the "bow upgrade" and works with a funny old TTLG meme; Kidnap - replaces all enemies in an OM with strange creatures and adds an explanation to why they're there, but keeps the architecture mostly intact; Sheriff - adds strange new enemies and changes up the geometry a bit, also adds a small new area, but all in a much smaller scale than the other two).

A "how well did each mission work with its theme?" thread would be nice.

Oh, and to be honest - I would've voted for Up in the Bonehoard to win first place, anyway. It's just the most complete of the three missions and the Alarus Extension is so good!
