its the exact same water stim as a water arrow splash, so yeah, it will

    Discovered today.

If an archer shoots you while you're carrying a body, it will hit the body if you time it just right: you need to drop the body right as the arrow is about to reach you.
I imagine it uses the same mechanics as the other body drop trick, where if you fall off a height while carrying a body, you won't take damage if you drop it right before you hit the ground

That's good news because I rarely use frog beast eggs. There are so many missions I want to go back and try just to use frog beasts.

I'm guessing that doesn't count against you if there is a no kill objective?

Gas arrows also work, but of course they're a lot more expensive.

I often wait for a guard to be near a flame so I can maximize the use of the gas arrow to also put out the nearby flame

Dousing fires with gas arrows is a rich man's flex

Because gas arrows are expensive and not plentiful I end up hoarding them and often won't use them unless it's a requirement somewhere in the mission. I have used them to douse fires and torches in the past though.

I always thought gas arrows should have a depleting area affect. Like they only knock out someone if they land right on them. Anyone caught in the vicinity is immobilised as they cough for a few seconds - the same affect as being blinded by a flash bomb.

They kind of do as long as the AI are close enough together. I think if you wanted something to knock out everyone in a room or something like it would have to be much bigger than a gas arrow. Maybe a gas bowling ball thrown from a trebuchet.

Really? I thought they either passed out or nothing at all.

Indeed ... my favored combination: Shooting a noise arrow in a corner, then waiting until the AI meeting is complete, then shooting a gas arrow at the group. If I remember right my personal record was six AIs put in the realm of dreams.

Alas noise arrows are rare in FMs, gas arrows are occasionally available but expensive.

It took some time before I discovered that cameras can be destroyed by fire arrows. Then all connected turrets become disabled, too. But you'll have to wait for the favorable moment since the explosion will alert AIs who are close by.

It wasn't until a couple of years ago that I started using noise arrows effectively. When Thief was first released and I started playing I was terrified of using anything that was noisy so pretty much never used them. Knowing much more about AI function and loading zones I use them all the time now. Sometimes it's fun to use them just to aggravate guards, etc. even when you don't need to use them.
