Thank you Soul Tear!!!
This mod improves and replaces models from the original games that were missing in EP2. However, in many cases this is not authentic. The main task of the mod is to make Thief world more beautiful and more polygonal.
If you used an earlier version of mod, then remove EP3 folder from your Thief folder.
NewDark is required.
Installation:
- Unzip to Thief folder;
- In cam_mod.ini add +HighPolyMod to mod_path line.
- Make sure mod_path line is uncommented (delete semicolon before it).
If you want this mod to take precedence over EP or any other mod:
However some of the objects (magtable, stool) are very different from EP and OM. So if you insist to see EP2 objects, use this line:Code:HighPolyMod+EP2
Download Thief 1 & 2 - High Poly ModCode:EP2+HighPolyMod
For FM Authors:
- All this stuff can be used for fan missions.
- For convenient viewing of models, it is strongly recommended to use Dark Engine Viewer.

Thank you Soul Tear!!!
I think this would be better off properly merged with EP2 where appropriate. also, the included mission files make it incompatible with the overhauled maps from TafferPatcher.
The models look good, though I do worry about the fact that a lot of them seem to have different UV mapping than the originals, which means that they may have issues with FMs that only overwrite the textures but not the models - something I tried to avoid as much as possible in the EP.
For explanation to others:
This appears to be a collection of object and AI models and object textures made (mostly) by Soul Tear, designed to complement the EP and fill some of the gaps in its models.
It is a small archive containing only those updated models/textures, and does not contain all of the content from the EP. If you want to use these models, you will need to install them in addition to the standard ep2.crf.
Due to the way the models are made, they may not work correctly in some FMs, such as those which only replace the textures and not the models (for example, missions set in greyscale.) (The EP also had this problem to some extent.)
Also, I was not involved in the creation of this package.

Thanks for clarifying, NV.
Does this mean that it is necessary to use uber_mod_path line?

as long as all the models have their own textures included in the pack, yes, ubermod path would help.
Then the models from this pack would override any custom variants used in FMs - surely that would be even worse?
Great work Soul Tear! This looks very good but I do agree it seems perhaps to be better merged with EP2.

The name of this mod makes it sound like it supersedes EP2.
This is not a good thing.
Yes it does. Perhaps Soul Tear wouldn't mind renaming it. Something like Thief Enhancement Pack Extra or similar would be clearer.
Fantastic work Soul Tear! I want to ask you if i can use some of these improved objects for the Thief 2 HD mod v1.0? Surely i will add your name to the credits then![]()
This is some awesome work, but...it really should have a completely different name. NV started the EP project, and he may decide to continue it. Someone else using that name is not only confusing, but also somewhat inappropriate.
I'm sure Soul Tear didn't intend to imply that this was an update of EP2 but as so many people have read this now and I don't want anyone to be confused, and in the absence of alternative thread titling by Soul Tear, I've changed the title. Better, possibly more accurate, suggestions are sought from illustrious viewers.
Nice work!
However, I noticed that torches and switchable electric lights from the third and the fifth mission (Framed + Eavesdropping) are behaving oddly after downloading ep3. For example, I canīt extinquish torches in the crypt-complex in Eavesdropping or in the Shoalsgate Police Station. The torches will be unlit, but the light will remain or the torches are lit, but they donīt emit light. The electric light of the warehouse barrack on the first floor canīt be switched off, too. However, I didnīt test the case for Blackmail and the following missions.
Maybe someone can confirm this strange behavior - if not, Iīll have to reinstall T2 again.

All covered stuff has been improved.
Link updated.
I know this is not high quality, and such things requires much more polygons for more realism. Maybe I will fix/improve some issues later.

Funny, I still prefer your old covered furniture with those stitches-glitches and your old canvas texture.
Old canvas included.
