Hi Soul Tear, I'm getting a fake positive with Google Drive saying there's a virus, so I can't download it...

was about to say was able to open the link just fine last week, and I still can, the archive is viewable and explorable, but uh-oh, when you actually try to download it you will just get a "infected with virus" message and you are done. I have the zip (downloaded some 2 years ago), and it's the same one as far as I can tell. no executables or anything //scratch that, there are some but I didn't see them, the gdrive preview kept them hidden.

see if you can get it from my random stuff folder. //ok nope, right after the upload I'm getting a "file may violate google policy", so it's indeed seen as dangerous.

Based on internal checks and an automated review, Google determined that "T2_HighPolyMod_v3.7z" contains content that may violate Google Drive's Malware and Similar Malicious Content policy. This file can no longer be copied, and can no longer be shared with or viewed by other users

no warnings this time. which file was it? //ooh, there was a bunch of executables after all (gdrive preview kept the folder hidden), Dark Engine viewer, that's what the virus check hated.

Now it's clear. The virus was in the deviewer. I forgot to remove it from the obj folder.

I don't think it really was a virus, it's just that gdrive has a strict no exe of any kind policy now. very sure this were not the case some time ago.

I think you are right, I had no problems with this utility.

Any planned updates to this? I thought I saw some updated objects in the Dark Forest thread screenshots?

    Why?
I've done almost everything, the rest doesn't seem interesting or is too rare in the game.

but one object could use an update if you don't mind - here is the golden candlestick (TrCandle.bin) with an added vhot, this is necessary for the interactive candles mods to work properly.

I have more serious projects. Someone else can add vhot, I give my permission.

in case you mean the vhotted candle model, this is just a resource so it shouldn't be uploaded anywhere just like that (no texture is included), but systemshock.org is not claiming ownership (of the bin or the vhot), so whoever wants to include it in some model pack is free to do so (if the object was created by Soul Tear, then ideally he should be asked for a permission).

I meant the object is fixed and ready to go, please download the bin (TrCandle.bin) and update your mod zip.

i meant the mod, not sure why i would want to upload a resource file, it's of no use on nexus mods, it's a site for people to download mods.

thought so - in that case, please wait until he gets the candle model in, we probably don't want to have yet another not completely up to date mod archive floating around (ModDB is really bad in this regard, mostly courtesy of that one guy whose name I shall not utter here).

..interestingly enough, one of the screenshots in the first post depicts highres candlestick objects (canstick.bin, canstick2.bin, canhold.bin), but the pack actually doesn't have them (the only one present is the freshly vhotted TrCandle.bin, the loot candlestick).

excellent, now the user can give it max priority should that be desired and not experience any ill side effects. mod guide updated accordingly.

//maybe update the install instructions in the first post - user should just load the mod using the modmanager (manual install instructions only as a backup solution, generally speaking, the user should not do manual edits to anything nowadays).
