You know, if the conspiracy theorists just grounded themselves a bit, I'd probably be more likely to believe them. Like if they said there's proof that Hillary was using her position as Secretary of State to give kickbacks to her preferred donors and/or friends, I'd be more open to it. The Clintons have been skirting that fine line that divides a charitable donation from a quid pro quo for awhile now (see the Gregory pardons during the Clinton administration for example). Like I've said before, they're a skeevy couple of people.

But no, they have to go that extra step, and launch their actions into comic book supervillany, based upon nothing more than a bunch of code words and weird turns of phrases they discovered the meanings of by "reading between the lines". Long story short, we go from a bunch of people getting kickbacks and making bad decisions to an entire political party engaged in openly Satanic activity while covering for the Pope's predilection for 4 year old fuckbuddies because...

    ...well...you know, I don't know why.

edit: just saw Gold's post above.

Okay, so you have Dan Gertler, a man on Trump's list. You connect him to the Clintons by linking to a website that lists ALL the charitable people are organizations that are currently operating in Africa (per that website, at least).

That's not evidence. Those are unconnected points you're bringing together by coincidence, then building a narrative around. This is why no one takes you seriously, Gold. That isn't proof for shit.

What the fuck is wrong with you?

For the last time, this is what Q himself has *MILLIONS* of others believing, I am reporting it to you guys, since I know you have your fingers in your ears through all of this.

    Whatever man, peace out!

Considering your current set of proof: an EO that only references a law that's been on the books for a number of years, a man listed on said EO for donating millions of dollars to Congolese rebels to solidify his diamond holdings (nothing at all about child trafficking), and linking him to the Clintons because you found to foundation logo on one of the websites, alongside about a dozen others charitable organizations currently operating in Africa?

...either Q is one helluva troll, riling up an easily riled crowd for the pure spectacle of it, or he's a dipshit other dipshits flock to.

I don't think we're the ones with our fingers in our ears here, Gold. Your evidence is bullshit, is easily dismantled, and now you're gonna do the "BELIEVE THE LIE THEN, I'M OUTTA HERE! PACE!" thing. I think the problem lies less in us believing your truth, and more to do with the fact you can't accept you're wrong. You're too emotionally invested in this crap, and now you're going textbook cognitive dissonance.

Well she has gone all weird since she caught far right evangelical religion over there so I expect there's a conspiracy theory involved.

    Hah. Perused that link, Renz:

Another option would be to enlist social support for their belief. As Festinger wrote, "If more and more people can be persuaded that the system of belief is correct, then clearly it must after all be correct."

In this case, if Keech could add consonant elements by converting others to the basic premise, then the magnitude of her dissonance following disconfirmation would be reduced. Festinger and his colleagues predicted that the inevitable disconfirmation would be followed by an enthusiastic effort at proselytizing to seek social support and lessen the pain of disconfirmation.
Sound familiar? GMD keeps mentioning that "*MILLIONS* of others" believe the same thing he believes, and through sheer force of numbers that's supposed to make it true. I never thought of the possibility that this group's collective purpose is to cushion the impact of disconfirmation.

And since there's a huge group working together to perpetuate their bubble, if anything short of direct disconfirmation by Trump himself is presented as counter-evidence (and for some, probably not even Trump can sway them), what evidence can't be safely ignored will only serve to make the brainboxes of the conspiracy group morph their theory into a slightly different form. It won't be destroyed, because of that emotional investment factor. The group will pull together to adjust their course to preserve their momentum.

Superficially it resembles what science does, evolving its picture of reality in response to new evidence, but what the conspiracists lack is any mechanism (or, indeed, any inclination) for analyzing their methodology, and any measure of rigor in their standards of evidence. Elimination of variables isn't taking place. Therefore in an attempt at self-preservation the conspiracy drifts further and further away from falsifiability and it loses more and more of its connections to the real world, and all its believers drift with it.

This conspiracy's not even close to being burnt out yet, and look what it's done to GMD already. By the end of this ride he might become truly disturbed.

Trump will have to vacate the presidency someday. Voluntarily or otherwise.

Certainly - but I don’t think GMD is waiting that long to become truly disturbed. Unless he's one of the greatest performance artists alive.

Considering that the Q people kicked into high gear after the November predictions fell through, the Clarion prophecy bunch were the very first thing I thought of. Usually when you have groups like this that have invested so much of their time and energy into something nigh unbelievable, the first thing they'll do when it all blows up in their face is retreat back to friendlier grounds, then double down on it.

This is something we all do in some shape, form, or fashion. Cognitive dissonance isn't just something other people do. Though it is kinda interesting how the more fervent someone is in their beliefs, the more likely they are to follow the usual patterns step by step.

In the East, it could be the COLDEST New Year’s Eve on record. Perhaps we could use a little bit of that good old Global Warming that our Country, but not other countries, was going to pay TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS to protect against. Bundle up!

Oh God. Herr Drumpf is running off at the mouth ........ again.

'The probe "makes the country look very bad, and it puts the country in a very bad position," the president said.'

"Another reason that we're going to win another four years is because newspapers, television, all forms of media will tank if I'm not there because without me, their ratings are going down the tubes," he said.

Is it possible to shake one's head to the point that it just falls off? Or to give oneself a concussion from doing too many facedesks (when facepalms just don't cut it anymore)?

At least the orange buffoon's threats to China don't involve nuclear weapons.

    Yet.

    *smh*

Here's the NYTimes source article. Nothing guilty-sounding about saying "Democrats agree there was no collusion" 20 times in one interview. Obsessed much?

In the absence of any GmD list of Trump administration achievements, I'll post this article by Politico. 138 things Trump did this year while you weren't looking.

It is a very long read and admittedly I've only got as far as August. There are a couple of trade things which don't seem too awful otherwise it seems to me to be nothing but a forward march in terms of doing good for business and bad for people. But some of it is hard for me to understand as I'm not really up on government structure nitty gritty.

And in contrast to what Pruitt is doing, I'm happy to report that the 'The UK has achieved its greenest year ever in terms of how the nation's electricity is generated' which I'm also posting for posterity.

He also had a cameo in Playboy Video Centerfold: Playmate 2000 Bernola Twins where he came off as a lecherous plutocrat. It's like even every halfhearted effort at decency is inevitably matched with its overpowering evil counterpart.

Nickie, make no mistake, I am *not* giving Trump any credit for any of this. I am giving credit to all of the good patriots in the military and government, who have been waiting their entire lives for this moment. It has arrived. Im sure the good people of TTLG saw this last night... right?

You'd get along well with this one friend of mine on Facebook. He seems to think that Bob Corker, James Comey, and Michelle Obama are personally handing out heroin to school kids all across the country.

edit: Or maybe not. I think he finally blocked me.

Say what, Goldie? Trump declared January "National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month". Trump hires contractors knowing that he isn't going to pay them. Theft of services is one step removed from slavery. All you need is violence to cross that line.

Trump bragged about barging into the dressing rooms of the Miss TEEN USA contestants so he could ogle them naked and have them, at the instructions of organisers, lavish praise and attention on him. Why? Because he owned the contest, therefore, in his diseased mind, he owned the contestants.

Trump is a fucking pedophilic hypocrite and you should hang your head in shame, parading his empty, pathological decrees as proof of his decency and your competence.

Credit for what? What moment? Why wouldn't you give Trump credit for something if credit is due? Or perhaps it's nothing to do with him. TBH, I don't read your links because you don't really give any indication of what they say - at least not in plain English. Perhaps if you quoted a sentence or paragraph or two, I'd be much more inclined to have a look. At the moment, as far as I'm concerned, you talk gobbledegook. It would be so much more helpful and encouraging to want to read if you posted your link with what the link's about. Just a sentence or two would do.

I find the man revolting in every sense so I feel I should work twice as hard at trying to see something good as I would for someone who doesn't raise such visceral loathing.

I just wish you would explain in words of one syllable, maybe two, what you are thinking. You keep hiding it under I don't know what so I end up being too tired to be bothered. But I want to be bothered and I want to know.

Gotta say I laughed my socks off over this:

Former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos reportedly prompted the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election by drunkenly revealing knowledge of Russian opposition research on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

That little alcohol fueled slip has more of the ring of truth to it than anything I've read thus far, since it's so incredibly dumb and straightforward, you can't help but believe it's something that'd come out of our government.

Yes, quite right. Last night, the White House made a proclamation. I linked to that White House proclamation. Here are some highlights:

    The heading of the proclamation:

President Donald J. Trump Proclaims January 2018 as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month

Some juicy on-topic bits from the proclamation:

    Quote Originally Posted by Proclamation

We also pledge to do all in our power to end the horrific practice of human trafficking that plagues innocent victims around the world.
Most average everyday people dont realise how far reaching these abuses have become, and will most likely be shocked when they first find out. The phrase, "pledge to do all in our power to end the horrific practice", is a very heavy one. As far as how this relates to the Q Anon phenomenon, I cannot explain in detail, as Renz wants, especially since so many others have already done this work.

All I can do is tell you that if you want to know what is really going on right now, you need to go down the rabbit hole:

Well, his most recent EO wasn't the shocking announcement that'd bring to heel all these terrible Satan worshipping Democrat traffickers Gold expected it to me, so obviously this proclamation is the next big step.

Of course Obama did something similar during his tenure, and even signed a few bills into law aimed at combatting such. But no. That doesn't count. It's only when Trump does it that it means anything, per the Q Anon papers. Apparently nothing means anything unless some idiot on 4chan is machine gunning talking points in a sinister sounding, but ultimately vague and aimless series of accusations.

LOL. The mystery is so mysterious, Goldmoon, that even YOU don't know it.

Didn't Trump brag to a bunch of boy scouts about being with Levitt on his yacht during a sex party with underage girls? Reckon they might be deemed human traffic? Oh and here is a pic I saw that reminded me of your bullshit-
