Debut Thief 2 FM "The Fall of Anduin Karol" - Jun 2018

My tiny debut mission made in march, fixed few bugs lately.

"Knock to my door woke me up. Three long and three short knocks.
    Urgent.
An envelope slipped under my door signed by a City master spy and a small note attached to it which said:
"Ferre and Leo street. 5 minutes before midnight. TONIGHT. Open the envelope when you're at the spot. 100 gold up front."
Last part of the note convinced me. I've gathered my basic gear and went out."

Debut is one of those words that we borrowed from the French and never gave back.

Thanks for your first mission! Just a few remarks. 1) I found the door guarded by the code can be bashed in with a sword, surely not what you intended. 2) Inside that room there is a wall light that can be lockpicked. Something then makes an opening sound, but nothing seems to move. Objects can then be picked up which are apparently behind that wall light, but still cannot be seen. This too does not seem right. 3) The objective to exit via the sewers can be achieved before other objectives have been met. Then as soon as the player meets the last remaining objective, the mission ends automatically. This prevents the player from making further exploration, so it is better to have the timing of the ending of the mission under the player's control. 4) I guess you may have been trying to make the English in the readables quirky on purpose, but in places it bacame very hard to decipher. Just my thoughts, and thanks again for the mission.

    Nice little mission.

Confess I bashed a couple of doors down although I subsequently found the keys\code.
    Where is the bribe?

    rodogoal,

It's not the numbers on the buttons which are significant, but the rooms in which they are found.

frobbin hood, it's one of the objects I picked up without being able to see it, in point 2) of my post #10.

Congrats on the fist release! It was fun to play a small FM, just like back in the day, when there were loads of missions set in small houses. Keep working on further missions if you have the time!

Finished the mission on Expert. Nothing particularly impressive, there are some bugs and logical inaccuracies here and there, the readables and the story are rather boring. But thanks anyway, I hope you will make better missions in future.

    meyou123:

    Have you unlocked the light?

In the office opened by code - check the wall light

I had to blindly frob around for a while after picking it. Note that it doesn't actually move. (See also Post 10, above)

Thank you all for the feedback, i had no idea that
    spoiler:
doors can even be destroyed, i will def keep that in mind in the future. also finishing the game before doing all objectives is something i didnt wanted to happen, but obviously i dont know all the dromed tricks yet i had quite alot of problems setting up the exit.

When it comes to some puzzle problems
    proof of bribe
    spoiler:
there is a hidden compartment near the wall light, its actually activated by a lever hidden in the same room

    code itself
    spoiler:
there is only 4 numbers and 4 buttons, except the 0 reset button if you get the code wrong, key is the order of which they should be pushed

I guess i also overdid the "old english" thing on the scrolls, there was a lot of experimenting involved while making this fm xd, but some facts can slip by because of that, my bad
