No nothing like that. I just updated the end movie, the thanks.
Thank you for an update! Did you made any improvements in graphic or gameplay?

In missson 4, expert. I'm in the hideout, and I have the lockpicks, but the old thief has entered the double doors that lead to the games room and stopped in the corridor. He no longer patrols. I assume I have to get past him but I can't without him seeing me (and, unlike in a previous mission, the new clothes offer no disguise, so I wonder why they were even mentioned as an objective).

Try to fulfil the objective to find clues about who killed you. I think the situation might change then.
But to do that, I think I need to pick open at least one, and possibly more than one, of the four doors in the corridor leading to the games room. And the old man is standing still just inside the double doors that lead to that corridor, looking towards those four doors, so I cannot escape his notice. I have tried luring him out of that area but he, and the other thief patrolling it, won't leave it. So I'm stuck.
I had to start again from an earlier save, and this time the old man went and stood where he is supposed to stand.
I thought the campaign was good for the first three missions, but mission 4 was too frustrating. We had already had enforced ghosting in the asylum, I felt that was enough. And the restrictions placed on the player didn't seem to make much sense. Why is it impossible to turn out the lights in what is supposed to be a hideout? Why are you bothering to find clothes that will not help you avoid detection? Why are you deemed to have harmed any thief who happens to fall into the deep well while chasing you? Why can't you knock out some of the other thieves who will not hesitate to kill you the moment they see you? Perhaps at least add a blackjack if you ever update the mission!

Ah, I see. I misunderstood you; I thought the old man blocked the doorway leading out into the other direction from the games room. The way you describe it, you indeed hit a game-breaking bug. I have noticed for some time that behaviour of AI's in NewDark seems to have changed a few years ago, including a slight tendency to sometimes stop and never move again at some point and for no reason. The one or two persons I discussed this with said that there has been no change, though. No idea what's wrong here, sorry.
And yes, you need to enter at least one room of those beyond the doors in the corridor leading into the games room.
Great so far, game crashes when I open the book. I have the HD mod installed. Has not conflicted so far, but any experience with what could be happening?
All good so far but I've hit a problem on Mission 1 and can't see anything similar in other hints on the thread.
I have retrieved the key from the "sceptre" boarded up room. When I use it to try to open the lock on the pillar behind the fireplace, I get an unlocking sound, the lock moves to point "north / south" but the door won't open (i get the "door locked" audio). Do I require a 2nd key or should the door open? Thanks.
Sorry - ignore the above.
Something opens around the corner and I hadn't noticed.
