Thread: Can I enlarge the DromEd application window?

  1. #1

Can I enlarge the DromEd application window?

With larger monitor resolutions, the DromEd mission editor is appearing smaller.

Is there a way to maximize this utility if I decided to design a Thief mission?

You can change the resolution of the window in user.cfg.

Do I need to add a line or two to accomplish this?

    My user.cfg simply says "mission_map 1 - 18."

    I think it is....

    edit_screen_size 1600 900

you can try other resolutions as well.

If you've installed New Dark, it, all the screen sizing lines should already be in there, it should look like this:

;Dromed window sizes, not all seem to work. YMMV.
    edit_screen_size 1280,960
    ;edit_screen_size 1024,768 ; Olddark Compatible
    ;edit_screen_size 1152,864
    ;edit_screen_size 1280,720
    ;edit_screen_size 1280,768
    ;edit_screen_size 1280,800
    ;edit_screen_size 1280,960
    ;edit_screen_size 1280,1024
    ;edit_screen_size 1360,768
    ;edit_screen_size 1366,768
    ;edit_screen_size 1440,900
    ;edit_screen_size 1600x900
    ;edit_screen_size 1600x1024
    ;edit_screen_size 1680,1050
Then just remove the semicolon on the line that has the resolution you want to use.

I have it working for DromEd - Thief 2, but not for DromEd - Thief 1.

Should work the same for both - do you have New Dark installed?

I have the New Dark settings where I can manipulate the color, bloom and lighting and everything works fine for that during mission play.

I'm using DromEd 1.37, if that makes any difference.

[EDIT] DromEd 1.37 was incompatible with Thief 1 in maximizing windows and may not properly load the HD mods.

This is still a pending question. TFfix 1.26 didn't update my DromEd version. Is there an independent site where I can download the newest version for DromEd for Thief 1 HD?

Can someone please help me with a problem with my Dromed window size?

I changed it to 2560 x 1440, works fine. But unfortunately the top part (with menu, edit, etc) is now out of the screen and it also covers my task bar which I don't like.
I already tried several custom resolutions but none of them worked.

    I tried:

    2432 x 1368 (95%)

    2304 x 1296 (90%)

    Maybe I'm missing something.

So what you're saying is that it does NOT work fine.

If you don't want to use any of the default resolutions listed in this thread, you have to do this:

Hehe, probably soon! After you mentioned the fonts, I found your correspondence with vfig in this thread. I'll read it carefully over a cup of coffee now and try it out after.
